Chris, still shocked by the news, was unaware that his phone had fallen. Alexa, watching from a distance, approaches and takes over the conversation with Jerry. It turns out that Jerry turned off the connection because there was no response from Chris.
Alexa patted Chris' pale shoulder and glared at his eyes, making him conscious and looking for his phone. Alexa who saw it immediately handed over her phone.
“This is your phone that fell. From there it's been shut down too. Probably because there is no answer so it is turned off.”
“Thank you,” said Chris limply.
Alexa took him back to their table and asked the waiter to get some water. Before long, the waiter came with water and warm sweet tea. Then Alexa gives water to make it calmer. Chris who is still weak can only obey what Alexa does.
“Still limp?”
“It's okay. I'm sorry but this meeting I canceled because there is a problem that arises in the office.”
“Alright, but if I may bring these files yes for me to learn.”
“Yes, once again forgive me, Miss.”
Chris tidied up his things and immediately left the restaurant. He chose to take a taxi because he did not want to have an accident if he was driving under these circumstances.
Arriving at the office he rushed to Jerry's room which turned out not to be there. Dena who happens to come from the pantry meets Chris and informs him that Jerry is in the meeting room. There he was waiting with several people from the PR section to discuss what information would be given to the audience due to the emergence of the scandal.
“How is the situation for now?” tanyanya was impatient.
“Sit first I just told you.” Chris complies with Jerry's request and he sits across from Jerry.
After that Jerry explained that the current scandal can be controlled so as not to spread more widely. FutureCorp will have to hold a press conference on the matter. Not surprisingly, PR employees attended the meeting while senior executives and investors asked to hold the meeting tomorrow.
“Alright, when can we do a press conference?”
“It's scheduled for later at 3pm and the one who will speak is Ms. Helen.” Jerry handed the script to be explained to the media.
He read it and agreed on what was said. Not asserting against the scandal but also not refusing to let the company's image become ugly and will be held audits of the relevant division led by independent teams from outside the company.
He re-thought of the figure of Alexa, as he had seen but could not remember exactly where. For now the thought is diverted with Jerry continuing the discussion with the PR team. Chris only added a few points to complete and invited Jerry to immediately follow into his room when it was finished with them.
He goes first and asks Melissa not to call him if there is a phone call or move today's appointment to another day. Right now he should focus on this matter. No one should have known about the embezzlement but why the issue could have come to the media. The IT team is still unable to find out where the scandal came from. Which means the person who uploaded this is a very skilled person in technology.
Jerry, who had finished the meeting, immediately went to Chris' room to discuss his next steps. Chris who saw Jerry at the door let him in and moved to the sofa. He picked up some cold drinks to put on the table. Because he's thirsty, so all of you take it for Jerry who's sitting down.
“How's the latest from the IT team?” ask Chris to the point.
“Because they have not been able to trace the source then I told them to focus more on removing the articles that are still popping up.”
“That's what I was thinking too. Then how was your encounter with Alexa?” asked Jerry curiously.
“I just accompanied him to eat it was not finished already you call to return to the office.”
“I'm sorry. Then is he willing to help us?”
“For now he still chooses to check the report file. So have not given a decision.”
“Alright, at least he wants to help.”
“Oh yes, I wonder how you can know him?”
“You know Baron? Our friend in college used to love being late for college. He used the services of Alexa. From there I was introduced to the Baron's birthday party and you couldn't come because you had to get out of town. Why ask like that? Do you know him?”
“Oh, so. I seem to know him once but I don't remember when and where.”
“Cash? Or maybe you are fascinated by her, she is beautiful and still single.”

“Then, tomorrow will ask the Alexa's answer. I went back to my room.”
At 3pm, Chris and Jerry came to the 1st floor to attend a conference that Helen's mother had conducted inside the hall. There have been many journalists present because many parties need clarity about the scandal. And so far the image of FutureCorp in the eyes of the public is very awake. That is what makes trending and crowded on social media. If no immediate clarification is done, the problem will spread and FutureCorp's image will fall.
Helen's mother was already standing in front of the podium to give her anticipated explanation. For 15 minutes of speaking, it's time for reporters to ask questions to satisfy their curiosity. The questions asked overwhelmed Helen's mother so much that Chris felt she had to step up and take over the conference.
“The respectable reporters, as already explained by Mother Helen, FutureCorp did not know much about the news about the embezzlement scandal in the company. This causes us to review the divisions concerned,” stressed Chris, “and of course this review process will be carried out and reported transparently.”
The question and answer continued for 20 minutes and Chris had to end the conference. The image of the company he had been building was almost destroyed by a fucking scandal. After that he left the hall followed by Jerry and Helen's mother and some servants who helped Helen's mother earlier.
He and Jerry had already reached his room and glanced at the wall clock that showed at 5 p.m. They decided to go to dinner at a restaurant near the apartment.
The next day, Chris wakes up earlier than Jerry because he is already at the door of his friend's apartment. He invited Jerry to immediately go to the office because this morning he got word from the IT team that FutureCorp shares were down 2%. This made the investors more angry and made him rethink whether he was not suitable to hold the position as CEO? Just one day in office has been in trouble for years.
Chris headed straight to Future Hall where investors were waiting. He only brought the difference calculation from the report he found to show investors. To be able to dispel his suspicions against some senior executives. It was possible that some of them were panicking to see the report was already in his hands.

He had to prove to the investors and young executives who voted against him within two weeks. If not fulfilled he must be willing to step down from the CEO position he just got. What should Chris do?
