Today, a handsome man with his curly hair made by drizzle is tidying up his tie in his new office space. The inscribed position of CEO on his desk makes him impatient to carry out the inauguration of his position. A position gained by hard work and effort over the years. This is the peak of his career after working from not having a position in the company to date. FutureCorp is engaged in software, hardware and cyber security.


Christopher James, once a child from an orphanage, can now achieve his dream of becoming CEO at the age of 34. He used to aspire to be a rich man so that no one would oppress him. Events in the past become acceleration so that he tries hard and achieve his dreams.


This is the moment that he has been waiting for his whole life. Although he does not have parents who are proud of him but he has people closest to him who are always happy for what he achieved. That was enough for him, not wanting more. Because he is used to people demeaning him so that when he has people next to him, he appreciates it.


The inauguration of his office will be held at 11 noon. At the same time, it is an event with a shareholder meeting for dividend distribution that presents all FutureCorp company executives. Of course it was done after the inauguration of the office. Here the executives are proud of the achievements of Christopher who managed to raise the sales figures of FutureCorp with his strategy. That was the reason for his appointment as CEO of FutureCorp.


At 11pm, he headed to Future Hall in the office building accompanied by his friend who served as CFO, Jerry Thomas, and his secretary, Melissa Valen. Jerry is the closest friend since Chris' college days while Melissa is the younger sister of the two of them. He was appointed as a secretary because at that time Chris felt sorry for Melissa who had difficulty finding work according to the department she studied. With the offer, Melissa can get money to connect with life.


They had already approached the door of Future Hall and were greeted by the executives there. Then they entered together while talking stale for a while before sitting in a chair that had been arranged in such a way. Currently, Christopher is sitting at a table with Jerry and several other young executives. Melissa sat separately with another secretary.


The event was quiet and there were no obstacles. Approaching the peak event, called Christopher's name to come forward and give a few words of welcome. His so-called name led him to step up to the stage and accept the post of FutureCorp Director, Jacob Avan. After that he also gave a speech and thanks for his appointment as CEO. Everyone applauded after the given welcome was over and he returned to his seat. Jerry suddenly hugged and gave a speech once again to her looking happy. Because Jerry knows how a Christopher struggles to get to this point.


Continue to lunch because the time has shown at 1 pm. Music that is turned on is chosen that has a soft sound to make lunch activities more relaxed. Because later after lunch there will be a more serious follow-up event.


Before they took over as CEO and CFO, they decided to~~~~ buy a few percent stake in FutureCorp because they included people who co-founded FutureCorp from a small scale. So now they follow the dividend share distribution every six months. The secretaries went back to their rooms first. Dividend distribution is only attended by those who have shares in FutureCorp. This time the dividend distribution is offered in the form of a cash return. Because currently in FutureCorp there are many investors and no more shares are sold and for previous dividends in resale form additional shares.


After the event, senior executives left Future Hall first because they had no interest in the office. Christopher and Jerry returned to their room to finish some of the work that was waiting. Melissa who prepared the documents was already waiting in her room.


As soon as Chris arrived in his room, he was immediately preoccupied with some documents needed for tomorrow. A few hours later, Jerry opened the door of his room violently, making his focus move from the document to Jerry.


“What's Jer? Couldn't have been slower to open the door. Unusual you are like that,” scolds him without seeing Jerry's expression.


“Not so, there is a serious thing currently happening.”


“Explain slowly, drink and sit first.”


“How can it be like this, Jer? While you just became CFO a few months ago.”


“Where did you get this data from, Jer?” he continued to see the report given by Jerry.


“I needed a report 3 years back in the archive section and I accidentally found this report. This report should still not be archived and in fact now this data has been entered in the archive.”


“Perhaps the financial section misplaced his report so that he was tucked in the archive.”


“No way, Chris. Note the date below, that date should not be the time to go to the archive section.”


“Then, what should we do?”


“What if we do a stealth investigation? Right now who knows only me, you and my secretary, Dena.”


“Call Dena here,” Jerry moved from the chair to the intercom phone to contact Dena and Melissa was called as well.


While waiting for Dena and Melissa to arrive, Chris checked the financial statements and compared the values of the two. After he recalculated, the nominal difference in results was very unexpected. The difference of hundreds of millions, although it looks there are advantages but when compared with the costs incurred, the benefits are still small. There are certainly certain divisions affected by this report change.


Chris contacted the production department and requested a hardware production report for the past three years. He asked the officer who he trusted more than the head of production. A little while later, Jerry, Melissa, and Dena were already in his room for a discussion of financial statement issues first. They immediately split the task to look for discrepancies on both archived and digitally recorded financial statements. After struggling with reports for 30 minutes they were shocked by a knock from outside the door, he asked Melissa to open the door and receive the files.


After the files were in Chris' hands, he decided to check the files himself. He did not dare to tell Jerry this production problem. He must prove first and then can make the conclusion that there has indeed been fraud. He has never worked on finance and production. At that time he was working in the application development division while Jerry was only six months this time he was moved to the finance division and was appointed CFO because the public speaking he had was very good. So he understands that Jerry doesn't really understand what's going on in the finance division.


Looks like the four of them tonight will be overtime at the office so Chris took the time to order food for dinner. After a few hours, their work was finally done and they ate their dinner in silence. As they tidied up the documents, Chris informed the three of them of his findings on the production report.
