Because of Lent
Chapter 42. The Fate of Siti

*****

At night, Bu Siti's residence is full of residents. Because Mr. RT came to take 2 police and a police officer came to Siti's house. The middle-aged woman paled when she heard the police say her name. Pras who just came home from overtime, shocked not to play.

"What is this RT?" ask Pras.

"Look, Mas Pras. The fathers of this police force have been looking for Siti's mother."

"My mother? does this have anything to do with Asya, sir?"

"No, Mas Pras."

"Pras, please mom, I don't want to be in jail. This is all Vina's fault, Pras. I'm not wrong," said Bu Siti interjected. Bu Siti's handcuffed handcuffed by the police officer for continuing to rebel.

"Mom, what do you really do?" pras asked, riled up. Asya's problems until now have not been resolved, now increasing the problems of his mother.

"Sorry, Sir. What's the problem?"

"We got a report from Mr. Fahrizal Adiatirta, that your mother committed an unpleasant act and defamation of sister Vina Adiatirta."

"I told you, it's all slander. They and their family just wanted to humiliate me because I had Vina divorced by my son."

"You can provide a defense later in the office. Cooperation please. We're just running errands."

"Pras, don't let them take mom, Pras!" yell at Siti's mom. Pras could only look at his mother who was herded by the three policemen with the face of a nelangsa.

"What should I do, sir?" gumam Pras's. Mr. RT turned his head towards the young man and then he patted Pras on the shoulder.

"Patience, Mas Pras. Now, Mas Pras just went to the police station to listen to what the demands of the family mbak Vina. I don't think it's possible that the problem would be this big if Mas Pras's mom didn't do anything to Vina, either,"

With a tired face, Pras finally followed the police car that had brought his mother earlier. Pras no longer cares about the scornful look of his neighbors. He was not surprised anymore, especially his mother is the figure who is always the first to be an impromptu commentator if there is one of the neighbors involved in the problem.

Upon arriving at the police station, Pras immediately entered to look for the whereabouts of his mother. However, his mother had been in a temporary cell. Pras then met with the police who had arrested his mother. According to the police statement, his mother was in prison on Article 310 of the Criminal Code for deliberate defamation in public and his imprisonment could be up to 9 months.

Pras rubbed his face rough. He can't say anything anymore. Now all she needs is to beg Vina and her brother to drop the charges. Pras picks up his phone and tries to contact Vina. However, many times the call is always not connected. Pras is really frustrating. He finally went from the police station to Vina's diner.

While on the way Pras' phone kept ringing, he pulled over his motorbike and reached into the phone in his pants pocket. He saw Bagas' name on the screen and then Pras immediately raised his sister's call.

"What's up, Gas?"

"I can't lend you any money, because I also need a fee to free Mom, Gas. Last night, I was taken to the police station. Said he was doing something in front of Vina's shop this morning. Mas Fahri, his sister Vina immediately sued our mother on charges of unpleasant deeds and defamation of Vina."

"Huh, seriously, Mom? your ex-wife's family is too much, anyway, Mas. They're rich in grudges like mom and Asya would be."

"I don't know, Gas. This is me going to take Vina to the store. I'll ask him to persuade Mas Fahri to drop his charges" Pras said. Finally after a short conversation with his sister, Pras continued the journey to the store, but unfortunately, when he arrived there the Vina store was closed. Pras rubbed his face rough. Pras looked left right, the atmosphere was still crowded, but why the Vina store was closed. Pras finally called the usual parking attendant there.

"Well, why are you closing?"

"Yes, Mr. Pras. The store was closed since noon and he said, anyway, the store will be closed temporarily. This morning Vina was run over by someone, sir. No, no, mother, Mr. Pras. Does Pras not know?" Pras was silent, he did not answer the parking lot question.

"Yes already, Mas. Thank you." Thank you."

Pras turns on his motorbike, he'll find Vina at his old boarding house. Who knows, he could meet his ex-wife. From this incident, Pras only realized that he did not know much about his ex-wife. Pras rarely asked where Vina's brother was. Where they live, where her brother works, Pras has absolutely no idea. Suddenly flashes of life while together with Vina began to appear in Pras' memory. How Vina put her mother first, Vina always succumbed to her mother, Vina who was not much of a voice when her sister-in-law always said bad about her, Vina even rarely told her daily life. He even often listened to complaints Pras that like never-ending.

Pras arrives in front of the Vina kos. However, the atmosphere there was just as serene. He took his cell phone back and tried to contact Vina but again his ex's mobile number could not be reached.

"Did Vina block my number?" gumam Pras's. Tonight's events make Pras' fatigue even more. Pras finally turned the motor back on. He went back to the police station. He had to make sure of his mother's condition first. Pras is worried about his mother's health. How will his mother sleep in prison? What if her mother is sick?

Upon arrival at the police station, dipper greeted, Pras saw there was Vina's sister there. He immediately ran into the police station. "Mas Fahri."

Fahri turned his head, he looked at his former brother-in-law with a flat and cold gaze. Pras looked at Vina's sister closely. What Mas Fahri is wearing tonight seems very expensive.

"Bag,"

"What's up?"

"Mas, I beg you to withdraw Fahri's demands. Have mercy on my mother, Mas. He is old."

"Before you ask me to withdraw my demands, you advise your mother. It is old but always troublemaking. What is wrong with Vina with your family? Why don't you give her back to us? you don't even deserve to be called a man.

"Sorry, Mom." Pras. The corner of his eyes welled up considering his treatment of Vina. He really feels very guilty. Had he been given the chance to fix everything, he would have done anything to make amends for Vina.

"If you ask me to drop the charges, don't expect me to. Whoever hurts my sister, will deal with me."
