Rae's breathing began to break, but she couldn't stop. He doesn't know where exactly Ed and Phipps are, but he knows they're behind, chasing him. No, he can't stop now.
A little longer, talk to yourself.
Keep running.
The trees around him were getting closer. It's getting harder to find a gap flat enough for him to set foot in. The roots of the tree spread over the path he went through.
Suddenly the footing under Rae's feet slumped and she slipped down. The pain hit all over his body. Rae bit her lips, holding back the scream that was about to come out of her mouth. They can't know where he is. No. gabe…
He fell and hit a tree root. He tried to get up but his legs screamed, he must have sprained. Dazedly Rae looked around.
He heard footsteps approaching.
Ed and Phipps are close. He had to hide, the bush in front of him was quite high, but he had no time to reach it. They'll see it. Rae jumped over the tall root before him and hid behind it. Close his body in the hope they won't see it.
“Sial the boy, the run was fast,” vaguely Rae heard Phipps' gasping sound. Rae freezes, apparently still quite close to his pursuers. “Where he went!” he said with annoyance.
“Listen son,” Ed started shouting. “Whatever fate awaits you in this forest will be far worse than your fate while with us. Come back! And I'll assume this never happens!”
“That damn girl won't listen to you, she chose to rot in this forest instead of coming with us. Shit, I thought this would be an easy delivery.”
Rae heard the sound of footsteps approaching. His heart beat hard. They'll hear it, Rae thought. He can't be caught now. No, he only had one chance to run. They'll no longer loosen surveillance until he's caught. There's only one chance.
“I beg you,” Inner Rae to know who.
“You will die here!” ed yelled again, trying to persuade him.
“Listen,” says Phipps. Rae froze even more, from her voice she knew they were not far from where she was hiding. “I don't want to go any further into the forest. We send a message and wait for help!”
“That damn girl must have been far.”
“Sial... shit.. shit.. we don't know the boundary of the elf forest. I don't want to risk my life just for that damn kid. If he wants to die here let it be, which is clear I'm better at law master than dead silly here.”
They were real silent.
“You don't know yet how to anger master,” said Ed.
“No, I don't know. But all I know is, if we go deeper, we'll die. Let's send a message. They won't be long into this place. More people looking for better.” Their steps are heard again, Rae hopes they will stay away back to the train and Rae is ready to move again.
“Wait,” says Ed.
Rae froze, for a moment everything was silent. The bush beside him shook. Followed by the sound of a tiger's roar. Rae couldn't be more scared. A giant white tiger stood towered not far from where it hid. He just showed up.
The white tiger was not an ordinary tiger, not a Sumerian tiger, or perhaps a Sumerian tiger. It was much larger than the tiger in the star garden in his hometown, could it be that the tiger was bigger in the wild? It is almost the size of an adult rhino.
“Call for help,” cried Ed, but it was too late that the tiger hit Phipps and fattened his body with his front legs. Rae looked with a horrified look as the tiger grabbed Phipps head and decided.
Ed launched a white light onto the tiger. The tiger retreated for a moment. Then ran to Ed. Ed shot out a white light in a frenzy, precisely hitting the tiger. Every time the tiger hit him he looked in pain but he kept going forward. And lining Ed's head with his claws. Severe injury. Ed fell down with a lot of blood. His face was deeply scratched.
The tiger did not let him get there. He approached the drooping Ed and pounced on his neck. Wiggling Ed's body until Rae can no longer see.
He's gonna die here.
Just like Ed and Phipps. Suddenly Rae heard a small eongan sound. The tiger had a child, he was standing not far from where he appeared suddenly. Rae turned towards the mother. Her mother turned her head and walked hunkered down towards Rae. Rae retreated in fear.
The little tiger ran to greet its mother. Who suddenly fell in front of Rae exhausted.
“No... no... no...” go to Rae. While crawling closer to the mother, her fear disappeared instantly.
“I beg you not to die,” home. His eyes are getting wet. He stroked the head of the mother. “I beg,” whispered. She knew that if her mother died then her child would die too. The mother slowly.
The kitten approached and sniffed his mother by meowing quietly to call his mother. While the mother's eyes began to close.
“No,” whispered Rae started crying. Suddenly an energy flowed from the head of the mother who was in elus Rae. And a voice sounded in Rae's head.
He who is bound to you, the life of which half preserves your life. You owe him a life. Then live the stakes. Take care of him and he will take care of your life.
The voice disappeared, as a light shot out from the mother's body, hitting Rae's chest. It spreads throughout the body. Then gather and slide quickly towards the kitten. Rae felt lost for something when the light left her body. He looked at the cat who looked back at him. It was as if an understanding was coming between the two. They're tied.
“What happened,” thought in a daze, staring at the mother. With wide open Rae watched the mother's body fade away as if it had never existed. It turned into thousands of light that shot out rapidly in all directions.
The screams of the animals startled Rae. The voice was ringing around him. Scaring Rae, the kitten jumped on his lap. Makes Rae jump. But her weight gives Rae a sense of security.
“We have to go from here.” He scooped up his cat and walked into the forest further.
The voices did not stop making Rae agitated and frightened. Suddenly the voice stopped making Rae alert.
He looked around as if there were people watching him. Rae was scared and ran fast. He looked over without looking at the abyss before him.
This time he will die, will really die. His body was thrown away. He saw the ground below him that was about to hit his body. Like a second too slowly. Rae swiftly coiled placing the kitten in her arms.
He felt a burst of pain as his legs were lining the ground. The sound of a bone crack deafened his ears. He fell down in a roll while holding a kitten on his chest.
Then the darkness and pain blinded him. Rae was drowning in darkness.
