“What events are there in Darul-Falah, Rin?” alarick asked that night after they had dinner together.
“Reuni alumni.”
“You want to come?”
“Ya, Mas.”
“Tumben, usually every go anywhere you still permit me first,” Alarick said.
Sherin did not have time to show the invitation of the pesantrennya to Alarick, because lately the situation is both cold, more than usual.
After telling Sherin about his past that night, Alarick grew quiet and secretive, and he no longer even slept in the room with his wife. Either because he really wanted to be alone to calm himself— as directed by Sherin— or because the man was not able to enjoy his night with a long sleep.
Seeing that, Sherin also did not want to disturb him. Rather than looking at her husband, Sherin prepares herself for the worst. He's got to the point, and there's no comma anymore.
So the invitation to a reunion from Darul-Falah never Sherin told Alarick. Even he decided to come to meet the invitation without saying goodbye to Alarick first.
Alarick was so busy with himself and with what he felt, that he ignored his wife's existence. Not wanting to disturb, Sherin also busied herself and learned to be used to being ignored by her husband. They are immersed in their own world, and for a long time they will forget that they are a couple.
“I don't want to bother you with my business Mas,” Sherin said.
That answer made Alarick momentarily take a breath. “Yes, Rin. I realize I'm not being fair to you. But I've never been bothered by your business. You're my wife.”
“Yes, for now huh, Mas? Tomorrow or the day after, she may no longer be a wife. I'm just learning to get used to it,” Sherin said. And after nearly five minutes of Alarick being silent, not finding a word worthy enough to say, Sherin immediately got up from her seat and left her husband still in silence.

Many ways can be done to shift the burden of the mind, and reading is the way Sherin now chooses. Despite the fact, sheet by sheet that he has passed through none of the contents of the reading can be observed perfectly. Because there are two sides in him that are reluctant to be together.
His pair of eyes read, but his mind wandered everywhere, not about what was read, but about what had been there for a long time.
Unwittingly by Sherin, Alarick walks into the room and looks at his wife who seems busy with her reading.
“After going to bed?” ask Alarick. Sherin who was sitting leaning on the headboard with her legs turned up.Slightly surprised to see Alarik know-how was already there.
Slowly Alarick approached. “You accompany me, Rin?” tanyakanya.
“Where?”
“Ke City.”
“To meet your son?” ask Sherin carefully. He was very hopeful that Alarick would invite him when he met his son—who was either the son or daughter—and Sherin also suspected that the man had been getting news about the child during the ‘before’, so that now he is getting drowned with himself alone.
Alarick shook his head slowly. “I have not managed to contact Risa's family,” restless. There was clearly a sadness in the forty-year-old man's eyes.
Seeing that, Sherin's heart is very heartless. “patience yes, Mas. Hopefully you will soon be reunited with him,” Sherin hopes in prayer.
Alarick nodded briefly, after which he immediately spoke,
“Meet me to the Wira doctor! I'll take my order medicine there.”
“Mas taking sleeping pills again?” asked Sherin with concern.
“How else? Without it I could not sleep at all,” rhetorically Alarick and immediately out of the room after Sherin expressed her willingness to accompany.
‘So deep, you punish yourself, Mas. Everything that happened to Kanaya wasn't your fault. All of that has become your destiny line that has been recorded since the time of Azali. You can feel guilty, but don't punish yourself like this. May feel lost, it's a sign that you love so much, but don't forget, death will surely approach anyone’.
Sherin can only recite each word in her mind. Because of course he did not have enough courage to convey it directly to Alarick, although now they sit side by side in a car that drove to the center of Malang.
At the moment, there are no sentences as beautiful as anything that Alarick can accept. And no real word would agree. For the man has closed his eyes and ears to see and hear all the truth that is coming from any direction.
Alarick only focused on what he felt was right and right, namely atoning for guilt by punishing himself.
How long will the man continue like this?
Sherin took a long breath.
