Apparently, my best friend My in-laws
Chapter 16

“Help what?” Alarick looked at Sherin not understanding.

“If this is his special day, I'll let you meet him, congratulate him! Or pass the time with him!” Sherin paused her sentence by scooping her breath. Shortness, that was what he felt when he spoke. Which woman is willing to let her husband with another woman—and the much loved ones— even if only for a moment.

“From you just shut up, celebrate alone, it hurts yourself. And unknowingly you also hurt me, Mas” continued Sherin in a voice that began to tremble. Not only that, in the corner of his eye, there was a floating lump of water.

“If only it could, I have done it for a long time,” said Alarick and his steps can no longer be held back. He passed away leaving Sherin who heard that with a feeling of being tossed. He found out that Alarick would do anything for the woman he loved, without the need to get permission from his wife. That, the fact Sherin got now. The facts that hurt him were deep enough.

The beautiful hijab-wearing woman was still glued in silence. His body docked to the wall, leaning. Just looking for a support from his soul that seemed to fall. His memory wandered a few years ago. On the first night of the wedding.

Flasback.

“our wedding may not go as it should. Because I have closed the door of my heart to everyone,” Alarick said at the time. “Here!” the man pointed at his own chest with his index finger. “there is already a person's name, which may not be replaced” he said.

Sherin didn't look very surprised to hear that. He only stared at Alarick for a moment before lowering his gaze again. Sherin was not so surprised, because the possibility he could feel. There is no way a rich and handsome businessman, the owner of dozens of hectares of plantations, still lives alone until now. If not for the past that has not been resolved. Or love that cannot be solved.

“But I will strive to be a husband who fulfills all my obligations to you, as my wife,” continued Alarick later.

Sherin nodded in agreement, Expressing agreement without a word. So maybe Alarick assesses Sherin's attitude that seems not to bother.

Alarick's hand rubbed Sherin's head slowly which was still covered with a wide hijab. “Sleep first! I'm going to go out for a minute.” And again Sherin nodded. But when Alarick then landed a brief kiss on her forehead, the girl felt her body shake.

After that Alarick took his body out of the room, leaving his bride to sleep alone on a bed of flowers. And Sherin fell asleep without carrying a burden. She considers Alarick the same as her, which is currently also the mind of Ridwan— her husband who died in an accident, three days before the wedding. It will not be easy for Sherin to forget Ridwan, as Alarick who honestly admitted that he still kept someone's name.

And time passed.

Flascback.

Now, or rather tonight, Sherin seems to have just realized, if the difference with Alarick is very sharp. Over time, Sherin has been able to mengikhlaskan and began to live his days as a devoted wife for Alarick, the handsome husband. And offered the love of his heart.

But Alarick is not. There is no distance or time that makes his feelings change direction. A name in the heart, still he recited. Although there is a beautiful wife who always serves with sincerity.

During these two years, Sherin waited patiently. He always believed he could change things. But now, doubts began to overwhelm the feelings. The power to survive is diminishing. Because of the Immaculate Love, it has soared a deep wound.

That morning.

“Sorry, it hurt you,” said Alarick who resembles a whisper. Because his position is right behind Sherin's body. Alarick then landed a kiss on the head of his wife who was still silent.

The movement of Sherin's hand that was stirring drinks for her husband was stopped, because of Alarick's actions. “Sorry, I haven't been able to be a good husband to you,” regrets Alarick in a soft voice.

“I've forgiven you, Mom. Even before you apologize,” Sherin said quickly.

“No. Don't make me feel guilty! Because I know, this is not easy.”

“Then?” Sherin immediately turned around and looked at Alarick who was in the back.

“I know you must be feeling depressed.”

“Long, if I say no, Mas,” greet Sherin quickly, as soon as the discomfort instantly fills the feeling.

“Or me, if you are already unable,” pinta Alarick with a look inside.

“Is this really what you expected, Mas?”

“No,” firmly Alarick even accompanied quick shakes. “I just don't want to see you continuously uncomfortable being by my side,”.

“you want to let me go, Mas?” sherin asked with a trembling voice.

“If with that, you will be released from discomfort .. “ break Alarick even though it is not accompanied by deep enough confidence.

Sherin threw her gaze out the window. Pain, felt in the chest. And it was seen from the puddles of water floating in the eye pelupuk.

“I don't really want to be like this, Rin. I want you to stay with me. But I'm self-aware that there is something I can't give you,” said Alarick, who received no immediate response from Sherin.
