Chapter 004: Explanation

Fan Chen took a deep breath, then exhaled slowly. "I'll explain everything, but I beg you not to think I'm crazy."

Yun Mingyue flinched with her mouth slightly opened, then nodded firmly with a serious expression. He knew this matter wasn't as simple as it sounded because it had gotten that way. "Well, I'll hear it."

Fan Xiaoyu went to the kitchen to prepare tea and fruits for her mother to eat.

Fan Chen regained his breath, then he began to explain about his nightmare for a month, his mental state during this time, including the reason why he had not gone to the Wood Protection City to attend university.

The reason why he went to Hainan and asked to sell shares, of course, he did not explain the system, but explained that in his nightmare that ended today, he said, there he sees that one week after the nightmare is over, a zombie apocalypse is coming.

He looked up at Fan Chen and added, "Mom will believe you, I will sell all shares, including the house here. We're gonna move in and live in Wood Protection City."

Fan Chen wanted to tell that the Wood Protection City might not be safe, but he chose to remain silent.

Fan Xiaoyu was speechless, not expecting that she would be transferred to the Wood Protection City. The school also had to move. But, imagining a world like this, he felt that school was no longer important.

"Yu 'er. Try to bring your best friend who you trust and can trust you here, I'll bear all the costs." Yun Mingyue knew Fan Xiaoyu's worries as she asked him to move to Wood Protection City.

Fan Chen got up, walked past the table that separated them and knelt in front of Yun Mingyue, then hugged her.

Yun Mingyue smiled faintly as she rubbed Fan Chen's head and said, "Mother knew this would definitely happen, which is why Mother wears a short shirt inside. From childhood, Chen'er always liked Mom's belly."

Fan Chen was speechless as he finally realized that he was hugging Yun Mingyue's waist and his face was on his mother's delicate stomach, and finally knew the reason why his mother took off her office clothes first.

Fan Chen's! Is it because of you, so she wears clothes like this? Damnit damnit! You have a mother who pamper you so much!

Fan Xiaoyu stood behind the glass wall, looking at the scenery outside while calling some of her good friends who wanted to move in with her here. He also explained about the zombie apocalypse that would appear six days from now, but not all believed him.

But, what could be done, even he himself was a bit doubtful about the words of Fan Chen, his own brother.

"How's it?" Yun Mingyue asked as she looked at Fan Xiaoyu who had finished making a phone call.

"Of the five best friends, only two people want to go here. It just so happens that their mother works with Mom."

Yun Mingyue nodded her head, and said, "Then it doesn't matter, the one working with Mother is a single parent. It's better that way than there's a grown man in our place, Mom doesn't like their gaze when she's at home."

The one in question here was the father of three good friends Fan Xiaoyu who did not want to come to the Wood Protection City.

Fan Chen got up from his mother's embrace and sat down on the sofa. "Mom, I see Mom's exhausted. I can massage Mom's feet."

Fan Chen controlled the system interface with his mind, and bought Passive Skills: Nerve and Muscle Expert, and Osteopathic Expert. He spent 20© to buy those two skills.

"Oh? Really?!" Yun Mingyue opened her mouth wide. Then he sat further to the side, and raised both of his legs on Fan Chen's lap. "Then you don't have to be polite, let me feel your son's massage." He said while waving his hand.

Fan Xiaoyu saw it. Lying if he didn't know that, he ended up taking wine for his mother to eat. "Mom took care of both of us, now let us take care of Mom."

Yun Mingyue smiled faintly revealing happiness, although there was a little annoyed because it was like saying that she was old.

Fan Chen took off the stockings that Yun Mingyue was wearing, then started massaging her delicate legs without feathers. "Mom, you should know why I suddenly recovered. I was the one who called “Build”, and it just so happened that the acquired ability could be used to build a shelter of its own. So I feel like, it's better that we find a relatively safe and quiet place to build it ourselves instead of coming to the Wood Protection City."

Fan Chen knew this, but he could not if he had to go to Protection City. If he went there, the system he got would be useless—!

Seeing Fan Chen's determination and no reply, Yun Mingyue sighed. This was his first time seeing the stubborn Fan Chen. "All right, I believe you. I want to see it for myself, find the best place, and build the Refuge to your liking. But if it fails, Chen'er will have to obey all of Mom's words."

Fan Chen nodded and said, "Alright, Mother. By the way, thank you for always trusting me, Mother."

Yun Mingyue smiled warmly as she looked at Fan Chen, stretched out her hand and rubbed her face gently. "Mother rarely sees you like this, is it because you “Wake”, that's why you have this kind of confidence?"

Fan Chen smiled faintly, but did not say anything. After living together for a few days here, he had already fused with this family, and was determined to take care of all of them. In fact, he was ready to sacrifice his life.

"Since we are going to leave the Wind Protection City, how about tonight go to the Nine Dragons Fish Pavilion? I will treat you, and the budget, without limits!"

Fan Chen lifted one corner of his lips and asked, "Is Mom serious? I eat a lot, and since the groceries go up to three times, maybe I'll spend a lot of money."

Fan Chen shook his head. He did not reply, but directly hugged Yun Mingyue tightly.

Yun Mingyue was slightly surprised. He smiled, rubbing Fan Chen's back.

Fan Xiaoyu looked at Fan Chen's expression, and he suddenly burst into tears. She could understand why her brother was like this, however her brother could be said to be unwell, even the doctor said it would not be safe, but fate said another. Her brother is healed.
