Chapter 148: Trying to Enter the Headquarters Center

The three squads waited for a while until the fire was half extinguished, then they entered with careful steps and the personnel consisting of three people in each squad faced backwards, walk backward when entering while keeping the back to keep the clouds.

Even though there is a Mingyue J-18 aircraft guarding from the sky, it is not completely safe from threats, such as planes that hesitate to shoot if mutant animals or zombies are too close.

Fan Xiaoyu stood behind Fan Chen, he raised both his hands, getting ready to use the Lightning Element Ability and Magnet Control.

Fan Chen glanced at his sister, he made sure that the Energy used did not exceed 70%, which resulted in a head ache and pain.

"Yu'er, don't push yourself too much, there's Big Brother here who has the Lightning Elemental Ability. So Yu'er doesn't have to put in too much effort, I don't want your head to hurt from the side effects of using excess energy." Fan Chen expressed his worries without stopping and did not even look back though.

Fan Xiaoyu nodded her head and said, "Yes, Big Brother. Yu'er knew that, and Yu'er was still able to exert more power. When Yu'er gets tired, Yu'er will stop."

Fan Chen nodded, he no longer said anything, he just kept silent, but he continued to monitor the usage of the Energy Fan Xiaoyu was using. If his sister continued to use the Elemental Ability even though it had crossed the line, then he would immediately stop it.

"Be careful." Fu Shen spread out his left hand. The command had already been taken over by him after he had finished discussing before launching the EMG-20KA-150KV, and it was said that after passing through the wall, he immediately took over.

Fan Chen stopped, he looked at Fu Shen, then observed the surroundings.

“Captain, half the zombies in this base are lured due to the sound of explosions. We can hold the back, but for the inside of the base, we can't do it because it could hurt you.” Yang Menghu who operated one of the Mingyue J-18 Aircraft gave a report.

Fan Xiaoyu heard the notice, and without waiting for orders from her brother. He raised his right hand as high as he could, manipulating the flames burning around him, then he knelt on one leg while smashing his hand on the ground.

The manipulated flames hit the ground, forming a circular wall that protected the three squads simultaneously. Then, Fan Xiaoyu opened both of her hands wide, the wall of fire was expanding at a speed that could be seen by the naked eye, and with a hefty thickness of the wall of fire, each time passing through a low-level zombie, the, the zombie will burn.

The energy required by Fan Xiaoyu to bring out the Fire Element Ability was not much, as the flames were already around him, no longer creating from nothing which consumed more Energy.

Fu Shen looked around, and instantly found a safe place. "Go to three o'clock."

Without delay, everyone rushed towards three o'clock, even the person facing backwards instantly knew which way to go.

As before, and some sort of action after the formation of Mingyue Defense. Codes in the military are heavily altered, each team has its own communication mark.

North is the 12 o'clock direction, usually used as a benchmark when all team members are separated. But if together, the benchmark will be changed into the direction seen by the chairman. Of course, each country is different, has its own provisions so that if communication is intercepted, it still does not provide meaningful information.

Fan Chen waited for a while, only then did he return to move after seeing his sister standing beside him. "Don't use the Fire Element Ability for a while, just use the M4 Carbine Laser. You've started sweating, wait until it's fully recovered."

Fan Xiaoyu nodded, this time he did not refute, he again took out the M4 Carbine Laser and held it with both hands.

The Mingyue J-18 aircraft stayed in the air, circling the base and facing outward to reduce mutant beasts and zombies trying to get close.

The Mingyue PO-11 aircraft was in the sky just above the base, and underneath were hundreds of active HK-80KAH-EP Armors.

Fan Chen pulled out a hooked gun, held it tightly and stopped running, but instead did the stance of the horses while raising his right hand.

Without warning, everyone knew what Fan Chen was going to do, so they immediately knelt down or fell on the ground.

Fan Chen swung his hand horizontally while opening fire, making the powerful sling rope shoot out extremely quickly. Then he activated the Lightning Element Ability, so that the sling rope was enveloped by a flash of lightning that emitted a thunder-like sound.

Fan Chen raised his hand again, then swung it back like a whip while turning his body 360°.

That swift turn gave rise to the sound of the wind being split apart, but there was also thunder that was not too loud. The sling rope rotated, each time it passed through the object, the thing it passed through would be cut off and explode, even the tall building on its right back half split.

Fan Chen kept the hooked gun, then dashed forward followed by the others.

Boooms...

The building that lost its balance and fell, smashed the pursuing zombies behind it into ground meat. Their bodies were crushed, blood seeped in the cracks of the rocks and instantly evaporated due to the high temperature.

Fan Chen ran in the front row, then he turned to face back. He saw one by one the zombies that were not overstressed by the building, starting to climb up through the ruins.

The most feared thing in this disaster was the zombies, if it was a mutant beast, despite being severely injured, it would still recover in the end. But if exposed to zombie attacks, even though a little scratch, there is no hope anymore.

Up until now, from the first time it caught a living zombie, Mingyue Defense had still not been able to create a zombie serum to be immune to the virus.

"Xiaochu, control the 20 HK-80KAH-EP Armor to first enter the basement, scan the situation there in detail and make sure it is not found by them. Although, it seems impossible not to be found in such a state."

Fan Chen was not optimistic about their hiding, given the explosion after explosion that came, and the fall of mutant beasts as well as zombies. Certainly, as the leaders of these two groups, these two leaders knew about the killing of the subordinates.

“Good, Master.” Xiaochu's voice rang out, accompanied by the movement of the 23 HK-80KAH-EP Armors that moved to the center of the headquarters, where there was the tallest building there.

Fu Shen raised his left hand to form the “peace” mark, asked the squad originally led by him to gather, then he waved his hand to the left with an open palm, but all came into contact.

The squad of 11 people acted according to Fu Shen's direction, they went to the left in the T-junction. Then they still spread out again into three small groups and planted bombs.

Fan Chen was still at the back, he was unceasingly shooting at the zombies that were riding on the ruins using the M4 Carbine Laser.

"Sister, Yu'er is helping." Fan Xiaoyu stood beside her brother.

Fan Chen smiled faintly and said, "Are you scared?"

Fan Xiaoyu did not reply directly, but there was a slight nod of his head. "Slightly, this was the first time Yu'er had actually gone on an expedition. Previously hiding behind the HK Armor, or wearing a Replacement Robot. But, Yu'er was very excited, because Yu'er could use Yu'er's Elemental Ability freely here."

Fan Chen nodded slightly, but did not say anything. He waved his hand, turning around leaving behind the back that all the zombies were depleted of and would be taken over by the other personnel to stand guard.

Fan Chen wanted to see what the HK Armor captured, so he stood in the middle to focus more on watching and taking the next action.

It is impossible to go straight into the deepest parts without knowing the intricacies such as the number of floors, corridors, forked roads, guarding and so on that can affect the mission.

Had no humans needed to be rescued down there, Fan Chen would have directly asked the Mingyue PO-11 Plane to release the Energy Cannon and level the entire Hong Kong mainland with the ground. After leveling it, then rebuild from the beginning because it is easier.
