Anila For Anala

Anila For Anala
CHAPTER 35 - LOVE YOU HONESTLY

"So, here I am," exclaimed Anila by raising both open palms.

Anila and Maliq, both still reluctant to move home. A large mosque in a freeway rest area becomes a stopover performing tarawih worship.

After running tarawih prayer, both went to an outdoor concept restaurant. The free view overlooks the freeway, showing the hustle and bustle of vehicles as if racing towards the end line.

The night was getting stronger, the wind was blowing stronger. Anila tightened the blue-gray parachute jacket that wrapped the body. His jacket was in Maliq's hands for five years.

"You take care of her very well," Anila said suddenly switching the conversation.

"Huh?" maliq did not understand.

"This package" Anila briefed with attention to the details of her parachute jacket. His fingertips caressed the surface of the jacket. The condition of the jacket is still like the beginning when it was placed on Maliq. The color of even the texture of the fabric fibers does not change. It was still the same as Anila remembered back then.

Maliq rounded his lips to form the letter o without sound.

"Jaket I'll take care of it. Let alone the person," joked Maliq, and got a quick reply from Anila.

"Not changed you, still fond of gombalin people," Anila recalls.

Although Anila never knew Maliq directly did that to women other than herself. Let alone seducing women, the road with women he never saw or heard. Maliq is too cold or as afraid of creatures of the female type, except himself and Hauna. It was also calculated, that both of them include creatures of the female type.

Maliq is eager to avoid the accusations. If Anila knew, she was like that only to the woman he was currently before. It was easy to bring the feeling to a joke, but when it seriously wanted to say, it felt like there was a huge stone blocking the way of sound.

Repeatedly Maliq took a deep breath and exhaled through his mouth. All words are so easy to slide, but when honestly speaking what feels why it becomes so difficult.

"Certainly, why are you still upset? You say, now it's all about you?" Maliq shifted the awkwardness that only he felt himself.

"Mas Rana asked me to meet Papi, because ...," Anila paused.

Maliq changed his sideways position to face Anila. He was sure that something urgent was troubling Anila's mind.

"... Papi's sick. Blood cancer." A clear thread slid down from the end of Anila's eyes. Anila was determined to continue her story. "The most likely "treatment is chemotherapy. But Papi's condition is still weak, doctors have not dared to take action. Currently the doctor's concentration stabilizes Papi's condition first." Anila sobbed as she finished her sentence. He covered his face with both palms to muffle his sobbing sound.

Maliq was fixated on hearing the explanation of the woman who was trying to control herself beside him. Maliq gave Anila time to vent emotions. Until finally the woman in a parachute jacket re-opened the palm of the hand that had covered her face. Anila has begun to master all the emotions within her.

Maliq gathers all the courage, despite the stakes of their friendship. "An, you .. no intention to let go?"

"Huh?" Anila turned her eyes to an object Maliq was looking at. "Oh, this?" tanya Anila showed a circular white gold ring on her ring finger.

Anila shrugged her shoulders. "Five years I've turned into a man who loves himself so much. I protect myself too much from any pain that may arise from an old or even new relationship. So, I myself can't answer when I'm ready to take it off."

"But if someone is willing to help you love yourself, protect yourself from any possible pain that may arise from it, how?" telisik Maliq's.

"Know where he won't hurt me? I can't read people's minds."

"But I can. I can read his mind," said Maliq.

Anila furrowed her eyebrows until the line between her eyebrows appeared, while distancing the sitting position from her best friend. Can you read the minds of others? since when? is he reading my mind now?

Maliq saw the gesture of Anila who seemed to be afraid of him, trying to straighten out his words. "I can read his mind, because that person is me."

Anila blinked her eyes many times. I can't believe what he just heard. Maliq's? Maliq wants to love her, want to protect her?

"Since when?" anila asked as flat as possible even though her heart was rumbling strongly. If the atmosphere of the road is not crowded and the vehicle is passing, Anila is sure, Maliq can hear the roar.

"From the beginning I started to get close to you. The feeling of wanting to protect it I could never fight."

It's been that long? Why just now? Why when things get complicated like this? Why is it when it's not just about me and you, but there's him and them. Those I have to take care of. The roar had now turned into a tightness that was squeezing his chest. His chest hurt when he found out that his mind was wrong. All this time assume his love clapped one hand. Apparently not.

"I ... I just .. want to love you .. honestly," Maliq said carefully.

The young woman rose away, turning her face away from the man now behind her back. Tears were back on her cheeks, tears that Anila herself did not know what it meant. "I'm tired, I want to go home."
