That afternoon Adelia sat pensively in her office, since returning from Bandung she was lazy to do anything.

Adelia is lazy to go back to her house, she prefers to go home to her parents, for some reason but she is lazy.

"Tok.tok..tok..!" there was the sound of the door knocking from out there.

"Come in." he ordered lazily.

The door opened and his assistant came inside.

"Mr Adel, someone wants to meet" said the assistant.

"Who?"

"Mr Chris."

Adelia stood up, why did the man come looking for her? He was avoiding the man because he wasn't ready to meet Chris.

Upon returning from bandung, his employee said Chris searched for him many times and he was trying not to see the man before his feelings deepened for the old man.

"Say I don't exist" he said.

"But ma'am, I told you Adel's mom was here" replied his assistant.

"Jeez Ran, just tell me I'm busy or something, can you tell me another reason?" adelia said again.

His assistant looked at him in surprise, but he could do nothing and could only carry out his boss's orders.

"All right, ma'am."

Rani goes out to see Chris out there.

"Sorry Mr. Chris, Mrs Adel is busy."

Chris just looked at Adelia's assistant lazily, he knew Adelia's assistant was lying.

"Tell him there's something I want to talk about."

"But Mr?"

"Hey, I'm a client here, how dare you ignore me!!" chris said annoyedly.

Rani gulps her saliva, she herself doesn't know why her boss won't see the man.

"Well, I'll call him, please Mr. don't be mad and wait a minute."

After saying so, Adelia's assistant stepped back into her boss' room.

Chris notices the woman's departure and in his heart wonders, why would Adelia not want to see him?

Is that woman angry with him? But what was his mistake?

Rani went back into her boss' room and there she looked like her boss was pacing back and forth in her room, her face looking agitated and full of question marks. Is Chris gone?

"Mr Adel, Mr. Chris said there's something important he wants to talk about."

Adelia glared in disbelief, how is this?

"Have you told her I was busy?" tanyakanya.

"It's mom, but Mr. Chris is angry, it seems like there is something he wants to talk about" said his assistant.

Adelia bit her lips, what should she do?

He was scared when he saw the man he couldn't stem his feelings. Adelia went back and paced back and was unclear, thinking what did Chris want to say? Was he dissatisfied with the woman yesterday and asked for another change?

Adelia was really frustrated, she shouldn't have come to the office today.

"Mom Adel." call his assistant in surprise.

What's wrong with the boss? Why not meet the client? This time his boss was acting like that.

"Ran, is there a back door?" tanyakanya.

"Nothing, here where there's a back door." his assistant was more astonished.

"Oh my God, I really need a back door to escape" she said frustratedly.

"Why do you want to run away?" a man went inside and asked.

Adelia looked up to see Chris coming, It's over!

After the departure of Adelia's assistant, Chris felt very upset about having to go back to waiting a long time. The man stood up, walking towards Adelia's room.

As Chris stood in front of the door and had opened it a little faintly he heard the talk of Adelia and her assistant saying if she wanted to run away, what mistake did she make until Adelia escaped?

With annoyed feelings Chris went inside and glared at Adelia.

"Why do you want to run away?" tanyakanya.

"Why don't you want to see me?" ask Chris annoyed.

"I'm sorry Chris, I'm busy." dusty.

"busy? Busy looking for a way to escape me?" ask Chris anyway.

Adelia lowered her head not daring to look at the man.

"Sorry ma'am, I say yes." asked his assistant.

"Eh, don't."

Adelia wanted to prevent her assistant but the woman had already passed away going out of the room.

Adelia looked at Chris for a moment and then she turned her face away, she couldn't look at Chris for too long and it felt like she wanted to jump into Chris's arms to kiss him on the lips.

Chris stood there, staring at Adelia sharply while Adelia seemed to always throw her eyes away and not want to see her. It made him even more upset when the beautiful woman who had stolen his heart.

"Hmmm...Chris, what are you looking for me for?"

Adelia tried to look as normal as possible in front of Chris.

Chris immediately walked over to Adelia and asked:

"Where have these two days been?"

"To Bandung."

"Why can't I call your phone?"

"Sorry, my phone is gone. Did you not like the woman yesterday?" tanyakanya.

"Very dislike" replied Chris quickly.

"Why? Is she less beautiful? Is he chatty?"

"Or is that woman less fashionable to you?" ask Adelia again.

"No, it's not like that."

"Then? Didn't you accept it? I saw yesterday he was holding your hand and you were quiet."

Chris took a breath and approached Adelia again, the man immediately pulled Adelia into his arms.

Adelia was so shocked and pecked in Chris' arms, this is what she wanted to avoid so much, she was afraid she could not stem her feelings.

"The woman is very beautiful, looks mature. is not chatty and also fashionable."

"Then?" Adelia tried to hold her heart.

"I don't want to be with him but I just want to be with you" Chris said without further ado.

Adelia glared in disbelief, what did Chris mean?

"Chris, don't joke. We're just..?"

"I'm not kidding!" chris said quickly.

Adelia's eyes began to glaze over, she was about to raise her hand to return Chris' embrace but suddenly Sean's words flashed through her head.

Adelia undoes her intentions, tries to hold her heart, so if she accepts Chris then it is certain that in the end she will be hurt because her family will not be able to accept the man and she does not want to hurt Chris' feelings.

Adelia quickly pushes Chris' body until the man lets go of her embrace.

"Sorry Chris, I've got a girlfriend." he lied.

Chris looked at her in disbelief, is the man who was with Adelia yesterday her boyfriend?

"Is that guy your girlfriend?" tanyakanya.

"That guy? Which one?" adelia thought.

But he didn't care, he didn't want anyone to get hurt between them later.

"Yes." he replied.

"Oh sorry, I'm sorry."

Chris looked disappointed and rubbed his hair in frustration.

"Forgot my words and you can find me another woman because I rejected the woman yesterday" he said

Chris immediately turned his steps and walked out of the place.

After Chris' departure from there, Adelia shed her tears. Although it feels heavy but he has to do it because he does not want to make his family disappointed and certainly he does not want to make Chris waste his time dealing with him which will ultimately make the man hurt.
