Ana Uhibbuka Fillah (Series Loves You In Silence 2 )
8. Afrah (Gratitude and Hope in God )

North Jakarta, At 18:00 pm.

Pelita Indah Complex Housing. Block A.

Dusk approaches. I looked at the beautiful sky. A gift and creation of God that we should be grateful for.

I say Alhamdulillah in my heart. The trip from Aceh to Jakarta made me a little tired. As a servant of God, I cannot complain. I should be grateful.

I stared at a simple minimalist house and God willing would be comfortable to live in. Father said this house has been provided for us during the work contract period Dad is still running.

I entered our new home after saying the Asalamualaikum greeting and I noticed the surroundings as well as the atmosphere.

"Hows it? You likey?"

Suddenly Dad came. He was embracing my shoulder. Next to me is Mother.

"Alhamdulillah Afrah likes well. This will be our comfortable shelter."

"We should be grateful. Dad's boss was really good. He provides a home for us as a family even though it is simple. But for Mother this is more than a simple word" interrupted Mother with gratitude.

"Allah is Good. May the Lord be given mercy and abundant sustenance from Allah SWT. Aamiin." said Dad again.

"Aamiin's."

"Aamiin's." I said along with Mother.

Then me and Mommy began to look around the entire room that was complete with facilities. This house has only two rooms. One living room. Living room, kitchen, Mushola and backyard.

I'm amazed. This house is absolutely amazing. The most important thing in this case is to be grateful.

Gratitude is worship of God.  Allah SWT in many verses in the Qur'an commands man to give thanks to Him. Gratitude is worship and obedience to the commandments of God. Allah Ta'ala said,

فاذكروني أذكركم واشكروا لي ولا تكفرون

"Remember Me, and I will remember you. Be thankful to Me and do not deny" (QS. Al Baqara: 152)

North Jakarta. At 10:00 in the morning.

A week later.

Time keeps going. Day by day. The first thing we are grateful for today is that God still gives us health, sustenance and long life.

It took me a week to get used to this metropolitan city full of overcrowding.

But who would have thought the sustenance this time was so blessed to fall into the hands of Father that previously Dad's boss had not found a chef like Dad.

I stared at the crowd of people at the door of the restaurant. There are some people I don't know at all. They look like successful entrepreneurs who meet each other. My position is not far from the front of the restaurant.

I am just thankful to be back in my heart. I can only hope that one day I can succeed like them.

All the faces of the people turned to a single point. I looked in the direction they saw. A luxurious black car arrived in front of the restaurant.

Some people with cameras came near the car. It looks like they are journalists covering this opening event.

One of the middle-aged men was standing next to the car. His body is tall. Then the man opened the car door. Cameras began to shine toward the car door.

The flash of the blitz is beginning to show. I saw a tall man get out of his car. Instantly I was surprised.

By Allah! Isn't that the blue-sliced man who helped me out in Aceh?

Why'd he come here? Does he want to eat? Oh yea. He is a rich man. The phone is just a sophisticated phone until I also do not understand how to use it.

I just sighed. The rich are free like the Sultan?  Slightly exaggerated. Masya Allah.

Want to ride a meal just have to use a journalist's rent and then in the photos so get out of the car. I can only pray.

Hopefully one day I can be a rich man with a lot of sustenance like him. Aamiins.
