Chapter 16 - Soulmate

The boisterous sound of applause rang out very loudly as Mario finished his chant. The man also came off the stage. Then, the event continues to the next participant.

Ashilla then approached Mario and praised Mario's sweet, beautiful, soft voice as well as making him flutter. He did not even expect Mario would do such a romantic thing for him.

"Thank you Rio. I didn't expect you to sing that song for me. I feel like I'm the luckiest woman today" Ashilla said with a smile.

Mario who heard that just nodded. He could not have told the truth that the song was dedicated to Alyssa. The meaning of the song of love perfection is broad not only for couples, but family, friends and loved ones around us. He just hopes, if Alyssa knows, again that Mario sing for her.

Sometimes Mario looks around, looking for the whereabouts of Alyssa. But he couldn't find. Fortunately, Ashilla did not pay too much attention to Mario's movements so he was not suspected.

Afterwards they watched the show together by standing side by side.

The series after series of events has passed well and smoothly until the announcement of the winner of the race is ready to be announced.

Everyone is waiting for who the winner is. Be it the winner for individual champions or group ones.

"The first winner in the individual race was Mario Keano Haling. Please come up on stage because it will be given a gift by our beloved principal."

The applause sounded very boisterous coupled with Mario's rise to the stage with a thin smile.

The gift was given by the headmaster to Mario. After that, Mario lifted the cup he got to the top while shouting. Then he got down from there and was approached by Alfonso who congratulated Mario.

"Well, it's not wrong that you were chosen as the champion. Your voice is very good. The others are still under all of you. But, I feel surprised, you who like jazz songs even choose the mellow pop again."

Mario does not respond, he instead asks where Alyssa is because he has not seen Alyssa since coming to the hall.

"Alyssa again did not know where Abram went" replied Alfonso.

Hearing Abram's name made the look on Mario's face that was initially happy so a bit upset.

"When did Alyssa and Abram get so close?" ask Mario to Alfonso.

Alfonso just shrugged his shoulders not knowing. Because he really doesn't know. Mario should know better? Because they are friends even next door.

Mario sighed and left Alfonso in front of him to put the cup and the coaching money into his locker.

Suddenly a hand pulled Mario in haste. It was Ashilla.

"What the hell is Shil?" ask the confused Mario.

"Come back to the hall. Soulmate's show is about to start, we're the first couple to be tested."

Hearing Ashilla's words made her so lazy, but how else. It's even harder to persuade a woman who's been snickering and angry. He also complied and complied.

The two walked into the hall simultaneously. Sure enough, MC has started his show with jokes that make laughter for the audience.

The first couple to take the stage were Mario and Ashilla.

"Hi, hi, how are you two?" ask the familiar MC.

Ashilla answered the question with a smile.

"Uh, this pretty smile is so sweet. It's worth having her boyfriend as well. Are you friends?"

"YES" replied all the spectators simultaneously.

"Well, looks like our first couple is not compact yes, the clothes alone are very opposite color. One wears a bright color, the other a dark color. Are they really a couple?"

The MC's words made Ashilla look at Mario and see the clothes Mario was wearing were not the clothes he bought yesterday. Ashilla was very angry and upset, but of course he could not do on stage that was watched by many people. He could only hold it in and would ask that later.

"Huuuu," cheers from the audience who disagreed with the MC. Although their clothes are not in line, but they remain a harmonious and famous couple in all corners of the school.

"Alright, well, it seems the audience is starting to hate me. Okay then, let's just start going to his soulmate. The rule is, every couple should answer my questions simultaneously. There are only 5 questions in total, but if you manage to answer those 5 questions with the same answer then you can get the title of king and queen and soulmate this year. But it must be remembered, if other couples also have the same score, then you will be competed again until you find the real soulmate. Okay, let's start with the first question."

Among the spectators, there was Alyssa and Abram standing next to each other. Alyssa continued to sigh in disappointment that Abram had lied to her. But, if he did not participate in the event, Abram would bear his shame. And Alyssa can't see that. Finally though with a forced Alyssa will still follow the show.

"When is your date? Hold back don't answer right away. On the count of three, can you answer? Understand right?"

"One, two, three."

"november 12th" replied Ashilla.

"Ah, yes November 12th," replied Mario who was a little late.

The MC even smiled because the two answers were not the same.

"What's this about? Looks like the guy forgot. Even though the date is included as an important date."

The MC even became a stove and made Ashilla upset. But he tried to hide that annoyance.

"Try the second question, maybe this couple is still nervous because they are the first couple to go on stage. What is Mario's favorite food?"

"Bakso," answered the two together.

Ashilla was finally able to smile because the answers were both correct and the same.

"It seems like they were nervous. Well proceed to the third question. What activities do Mario usually do on Sundays?"

"Basketballs."

"Sleep all day."

Both answered differently.

"Why do you answer sleep all day? Don't you like playing basketball?" asked Ashilla who was feeling a little upset.

"Yes, but on Sundays I prefer to sleep all day. Revenge after 6 days of continuous learning in school."

"Please, please, take control of your emotions yes, because there are still two further questions. What is Ashilla's favorite food?"

"Spaghetti."

"Soto?"

"Ih, why are you so wrong Rio anyway? I told you I like spaghetti."

"Sorry, sorry, I think you like soto, because it's right we eat together, you look really good eating it."

"Well, what's going on? What is this thing called soulmate? Even from 4 statements, only one answer is the same. Well, it looks like the girl knows more of the guy than the guy himself."

"Huuuu," again the cheering sound of the audience dominated the entire hall.

"Please keep the audience calm. We will continue to the last question, hopefully this question does not make them fight after this event. If any of you have a problem, will you choose a story to your best friend or boyfriend?"

"Daughter."

"Friend."

"Okay, a different answer again this couple gave. This proves that they are not soulmates on our show. Thank you for showing me how much you don't understand and know about each other. For the next couple please go on stage. And the first couple please get off the stage and please do not fight let alone break up. But if breaking up is okay, I can be the girlfriend of the beautiful."

"Huuu."

Ashilla and Mario get off the stage. Alyssa started talking about Mario unconsciously.

"Mario is so, if it's Sunday he's lazy all day. Even if I want to play, I have to wake him up with a lot of effort. Actually Mario does not like the same rich gini events. But, it seems that because of Ashilla he was willing to follow. Ashilla's brought a lot of changes to Mario."

Abram kept staring at Alyssa. Actually he knows who is in Alyssa's heart, but he will continue to fight because Alyssa is currently still not owned by anyone.
