Almera's Gigolo

Almera's Gigolo
29.Meet Mr. John Smith.

After a long journey for almost 24 hours I finally landed at New York's John F Kennedy Airport at 9 p.m.

Arriving at the airport there was a driver who picked me up and would drive to the hotel tomorrow morning and I was planning to see Mr. Smith.

30 Minutes later I arrived at the hotel where I was staying for the next few days, I laid my body in a kingsize bed in the hotel room I was staying in.

Tired of my body after a long journey.

drt.drtts.

I lazily picked up a phone call from Anggela.

"em, what's up"

"i've made an appointment with Mr. Smith's secretary, he'll see you tomorrow at 10 in his house, and Mr. Smith's secretary will pick you up at the hotel.

"why don't you meet at the office"

"he is now rarely going to the office because of his health explained his secretary earlier"

"why isn't his granddaughter meeting me"

"for that I don't know"

"you were supposed to come with me here" I muttered to Anggela.

"try it out later to see him tomorrow"

"yes.." said I immediately turn off the call Anggela.kutatap sky room I occupied, really really old man who sucks my inner.

At 10 in less than 15 minutes I was ready to meet with Mr. Smith.

Anggela just called me saying that Mr. Smith's secretary will pick me up soon.

It's not even 10 but he can't wait to meet me, I'll get this investment and go home soon, I thought resentfully feeling as if he was being played by this guy named Mr. Smith.

A classic black sedan came to pick me up, a middle-aged man came out of the car and greeted me.

"Mrs Wijaya"he reached out to shake my hand.

"yes" I answered receiving the man's hand.

"my name is Miller"

"oh yeah, nice to meet you, Mr. Miller"

"please Miss" she said, letting me into the car she was carrying.

"thank you" I replied as I got into the classic black car.

after traveling for less

more than 1 hour through the streets of new york city we finally arrived at a classic Victorian house .

The house looks very old, but it looks very beautiful probably has been around for generations from the old Smith family.

Miller opened the car door for me, led me into the house.

"please you sit down I will escort Mr. Smith to meet you"

I just nodded at him and sat in the living room that looked warm atmosphere.I circulated my gaze around the room a lot of family photos on display there was one photo that caught my attention a little, a picture of a 10-year-old boy smiling broadly at the camera.

"good photo is not" said someone from behind me.I turned back towards the source of the voice, looks like an old man about 80 years old who still looks dashing to me using a stick in his hand.

I just smiled answering the question.

"it was my grandson, now he's more handsome than the picture he photographed" he said, allowing me to sit down.

"introduce me Almera Wijaya" I said, shaking her strong old hand.

"yes, I know, but if you don't mind I'd like to ask"

"please, I'll answer you with pleasure"

"i heard that your office has just been replaced by your grandson "

"that's true but he's still not willing to stay in the office in my place to lead the smith corp.so for a while I still have to handle it"

"oh, that's"

"yes, I can't force it even if I want to"

"so that's a picture of your grandson" I said as I pointed to the picture of the handsome boy with a big smile"

"yes, maybe you've met him"

"you mean?"

"my granddaughter, now lives in Indonesia, so being in the same country you may have met"

"i don't know because actually I also haven't lived in Indonesia for long so I don't know too many people there"

"really, dear then, I'm actually hoping that you can get to know my grandson"

"sorry about that, Mr. Smith"

"yes, that's just the hope of an old man who's been living alone for too long, in contrast to you young people who still want to be free"

I smiled at her words,

"can we start now talking about our cooperation"

"alright, you seem to be impatient" he said with a small chuckle.

Long enough we talked about business, it didn't feel like it was lunchtime and Mr. Smith asked me to stay with him for lunch.

"stay for lunch here" he pleaded with me to refuse.

Mr. Smith took me to lunch in the back yard of his house, which looked very beautiful with lots of flowers and trees that looked well cared for.

we had lunch together, as if Mr. Smith was just staying with a waiter there.

"it used to be this house is not this lonely, every vacation comes my son and his children always come for a vacation here, as you see on the living room wall there are many photos of them when visiting me"he said while looking at the green grass in the yard, I just listened to the conversation without intending to interrupt.

"but everything has changed since my son and his wife died in a tragic accident 7 years ago."

"sorry" I said as I was moved to hear her story, she must be very lonely.

"i was devastated when I heard the news, for many years I was drowning in grief thinking I had no one else"

"you mean"I was curious about what he said.

"i think when the accident happened my two grandchildren also became victims, because at that time they had all moved to live in Indonesia, Indonesia, but it turns out that a few months ago I knew that my grandson was still alive"

"so you just met him again after years of losing his word"

"yes, I was very sorry to know that, for many years he had lived a very miserable life, why had I not been looking for him, I thought".

I don't know what to say to the old man in front of me.

"you must be tired of hearing stories from old men like me"

"no, I just don't know what to say to hear your story, it must have been a very hard time for you" I said sincerely.

"it turns out you're a good woman, I'm so glad you could be my granddaughter"

"ehem, I'm sorry for that", I said uncomfortable hearing it.

"no papa, I feel lucky because the one who met you is me, let him regret passing the opportunity to meet a beautiful woman like you" he said with a smile at me.

I just smiled, the curriculum heard from Mr. Smith, made me remember someone who always talked sweetly to me.
