Alice In Another World's

Alice In Another World's
Chapter 06: A Rain

The previously gray sky is now starting to split in two displaying a dazzling ray of how the show is. Decorated with the glitter of the rainbow and the sound of water droplets hitting it, I kept looking at him and stood with a glimmer of hope in order to leave this place immediately.

I used to think that I wouldn't be able to get out of here at all, but I don't think that worry is necessary anymore.

I pulled White along to traverse dozens of corpses under my feet, this country is clearly dead as well as its neighbors.

***

Some time before.

"Hey lady, that kind of magic I don't have? Even moving from one place to another is rare, this one is inter-dimensional, it just doesn't make sense."

Such was the saying of the witch who owned this shop. She was a middle-aged woman with a robe as well as a pointy hat to cover her long black hair.

Before I came here for following a rabbit, unfortunately if someone had followed him once they would never have found him twice, the only way would be to look for magic that could bring me back.

I was looking for him even though I wasn't in a hurry, basically all I wanted was an adventure like this.

"If so I just bought an empty book and a questioner to write."

"All right."

I received the two items I requested with money instead, I had previously thought that when I was in another world I would be able to quickly use magic but my assumption was clearly wrong.

Someone has to learn.

One could use magic depending on which one he had, not everyone had it only people born with good luck could use magic.

I made sure I was one of those lucky people. All I have to do now is find a teacher.

"Let's forget about the book first, then can you teach me about magic?"

The witch smiled wryly.

"If you want to learn magic then come to the magic academy in this city, they give their best training to anyone as long as they have money."

"I'm so sorry my money's up."

I was too wasteful of money and now I'm running out of it.

The witch took a long breath

"I can give you a light lesson if you want to work here for a while, of course I'll pay the wages."

"I'm glad to take it."

By the way this witch is named Carmen, her shop is the only one offering magic tools which is why I came here.

Usually I would go straight away either one day or one Sunday, but in certain cases it might not matter if I stayed in one place for a long time.

"You can come back tomorrow morning and get to work."

"Understand."

I came the next day as he said, just as I was about to open the doors of the men in military uniforms first.

"Little girl."

I ignored the statement and looked towards Carmen.

"Alice you come, come in."

"Good."

I let them out first before finally replacing me, they look arrogant and obviously come not with peaceful intentions.

"What are they doing in this store?"

Carmen seemed to doubt what I was asking even so she finally opened her mouth.

"They came here to ask me to make a weapon that could destroy one kingdom."

"You received it?"

"Obviously I don't want to, this is why I left the military to open a store like this, they should've stopped asking me to do it."

"Then what did you tell them?"

"I asked for three days to think about it anyway if I refused they would kill me on the charge of being a traitor."

I was out of words again, when I entered this city I had indeed heard that this country was at war with the other country, if it must be said the reason is because these two countries both want their own benefits.

"What should I do?"

"I don't know, I don't know what your decision was like I chose not to be involved in it, after all I'm going to continue on the journey again."

"Truly irresponsible, come on just say one."

"Right, if this country is at peace then I don't need to make its weapons."

I nodded little, I don't know what he's going to do I don't know. What is clear is that every day I just work by tidying up this shop and learning a little bit about magic from Carmen, for Carmen herself, she was so rarely in the store she played a role to and fro to discuss the matter of peace.

When three days passed the military came back and there Carmen agreed to make her weapon but she also asked for a month.

The military agreed to it without any problems.

I always silently watched Carmen who looked frustrated, she sometimes held her head in a daze, whichever choice she would be considered a killer and she also had no intention of dying.

The one who is blamed is the one who forced him to do so.

I made tea for him.

"You'd better rest Miss Carmen, you've not slept from yesterday and forgot to eat."

"Sorry to worry you, even Alice has to sleep here."

"No problem, so what about peace?"

"I'm afraid, why are people so greedy, even I intend to ask for support so that the war is stopped but no one cares."

"Are you sure they don't care?"

"True Alice, the people who rejected them would only be exiled and in the end they themselves decided to leave, they were mostly people who loved their children."

"so."

It's been three weeks since Carmen responded. I was even able to use wind magic thanks to his help.

"Don't push yourself too hard, then I'll go to bed first."

"Thank you Alice, if there wasn't you I might have gone crazy."

"You're overreacting."

The next day Carmen had created her homemade weapon, for her she did not want to use it at all, every time she saw it there was a pressure that could be felt by her. Sometimes I see her crying alone.

Then one day before the weapon was given to the military I realized that my bedroom door had been locked.

I drove through the door while calling Carmen's name.

"Carmen, are you there?"

"Sorry Alice, three days from now you can't go out, I've prepared food there you don't have to worry."

I glanced around and found what he meant.

"Your horse will be fine too."

"Carmen what are you going to do?" manyworry.

"From the time I hated war but they always forced it on me, I thought if they all died then there would be no more war and I would be free."

"Your Carmen?"

"...."

"You're not trying to kill yourself, are you."

"Of course not, I should be able to find my daughter. The military forced me to come here and they told me that I was dead to my daughter until she left the country."

"Don't say?"

"When I tried to stop the war I found out the truth, but I ran this store to raise money to meet my daughter again in the village, but they were... if they like to kill, I'll show them everything."

"Carmen, Carmen, Carmen, wait a minute Carmen, let's talk to them again?"

I only heard the sound of his steps going down the stairs, since then I never heard it again, while staring at the sky from the window I counted the days, I did not dare to look at the window directly, I did not dare to look at the window directly, even as people screamed in horror, I decided to cover my ears.

When it was three days, I broke down the door. Only silence greeted me. There was no sound and there was only a letter on the table.

"I'm sorry for everything Alice, one day I hope we can meet again, somewhere, at a different time."

I went out of the house and saw that the rain had fallen, which was surprising that the bodies were just lying on the street. They died from a deadly smoke that was blown up like a bomb.

My own room is protected because Carmen put up an antidote magic.

When the rain subsided from a distance White came.

She stuck her head out at me and I stroked her.

"Let's go."

White replied with a nod.
