Searching for Time Part 2

This time Widi remembered Angga, the man who introduced her to God. Where's Angga? I have a question about God, and he always has an answer. He said God is the architect of the universe, so why doesn't He care about me as His creation?

Widi just realized, she forgot God, but only God can give her a miracle, in her daydream suddenly Angga seemed to appear and say. Is not the universe of infinite magnitude can be lifted up and moved by Him, let alone just lift our degrees, are we not very small. Please, that miracle.

Since that night Widi's hope reappeared, he began to draw closer to God. Now religious books attract more attention than architectural books. Widi began to routinely undergo five prayers, even he almost never missed the dhuha prayer and night prayer. Monday-Thursday fasting has also become a habit. Aunt Lina saw this big change. Slowly new habits Widi began to be followed by this family as well. The house, which had been gloomy because it was dry from religion, began to show light. Sure enough, the magic began to approach, Aunt Lina no longer traded in the market, she and her husband already had a catering business whose income was good. Widi's design orders are also increasing, he plans to collect his income to buy a computer and continue his studies, because the family seems to have been able to overcome his own financial problems.

Time kept rolling, in 2001, almost two years Widi was at the house of Aunt Lina. Although Widi diligently conducts worship, but he has not been able to read the Quran. Widi needs a teacher for that, but she is ashamed if she is seen by people who know her, already at this age, knew no letters.

One morning Widi was riding a motorcycle looking for a place to study teaching. Every time there is a mosque he stops, according to him in the mosque there must be a place to learn the Qur'an. Unfortunately every stop, there were people greeting him, otherwise the neighbors, the market people, so he was forced to continue his journey to find a mosque further away.

Widi continued to search until he found a pine forest area, he did not expect there was still a large forest in the area that was actually not too far from where he lived. He was curious to know to what extent the end of this forest. In the middle of this forest area he passed through a large gate with the inscription Al Kahfi Land. Widi continued down the road until she met the residential area again. After finding a mosque, Widi parked his motorcycle under a large tree, next to his motorbike there is a luxury car parking that also targeted a tree.

Widi entered the mosque, he asked two hijab-wearing women who had just finished Dhuha Prayer. The woman told the mosque it had a regular schedule of Iqra lessons for adults. Widi took the dhuha prayer, after the prayer, while praying he accidentally heard the conversation of the two women.

"Pity yes Ustadza Ida, our naji teacher, she and her baby are not allowed to go home, still detained the administration of the maternity house, the money is less than 2 million," said the woman in white hijab.

"Yes, my stash is only 1 million, you have the other half?" ask the blue hijab girl.

"It's only a week away, God willing, it's an old date" replied the woman in white hijab.

Widi has 2 million rupiah in her bag, the plan is to buy a down payment on a computer, the rest will be great-grandchildren. Widi pulled out an envelope with money from her bag and walked up to the two women.

"Assalamualaikum," said Widi.

"Wa alaikumsalam." said the two women in hijab.

"I'm sorry, can't I take the money for that najai teacher?" ask Widi.

"Oh, you know me?" ask the young woman in the blue hijab.

Widi shook her head as she handed the envelope, "Hopefully enough, I say yes, assalamualaikum," Widi immediately left the two women.

"Wa alaikumsalam, jazakillah khiiran," shouted the two hijab-wearing women.

"Allah is very kind to the man, and may all his affairs be facilitated by Allah" the young woman in white hijab prayed to Widi and guaranteed the other woman.

When exiting the mosque, Widi saw a man who owned a car parked near his motorcycle. He seemed busy talking through a mobile phone stuck between his ears and shoulders while entering his documents from the top of the motorcycle seat Widi into his car. The guy was in a great hurry, before Widi got to his bike, his car had passed. Widi saw there was a map left on the motorcycle seat. Widi read the writing on the outside of the map. ‘Santoso, Al Kahfi Land’.

Al Kahfi? The place I passed by. Widi waited for about 10 minutes, maybe the man returned to retrieve his documents. Because the person he was waiting for did not appear, Widi decided to deliver the document.

"Good day, Ma'am, who do you want to see?" ask a friendly security officer, in the building lobby.

"Good Day, Mr Santoso is there?" ask Widi.

"Sorry who's this with?" ask Jajat Pak.

"I Widi, want to return the map of Mr. Santoso left behind" said Widi.

"Okay, please wait first," said Mr. Jajat.

Widi sat in the guest room, she looked at the details of this building, she had not been in a place this good for a long time. Widi wiped the sweat that soaked her forehead with the sleeves of her shabby jacket while paying attention to the past employees, their appearance was in stark contrast to her who was circulating every day in the market. Unfortunately, although beautiful to the eye, they look haughty, some people glanced at him with a hostile look.

"Mbak Widi, let me take you to the room of Mr. Santoso," asked Mr. Jajat.

When meeting Santoso, Widi immediately handed over the map and immediately said goodbye, but Santoso held him.

"Before Widi, please sit down! I am very grateful, the documents left behind are the job applications of architects that I have sorted, if it was lost, can dizziness me, my boss needs quickly. Did you know that Widi is working or going to college?" ask Santoso.

"Hmm, as?" ask Santoso.

"When I look at education, I want to be an architect or an interior designer, but I can work as anything" Widi replied.

"Have you graduated college?" ask Santoso

"I had 4 semesters in FSRD ITB sir, then continued in the department of architect for an employee-only afternoon class at Berdikari University Depok, now being jammed again Sir," replied Dewi.

"Sadly, why is it stuck?" ask Santoso.

"That's sir, I have to work to be smooth again" Widi replied diplomatically.

"Dear also yes, even though if you have graduated, you can try to apply here, this office is indeed looking for architects" said Santoso.

"If work is more important than a diploma, I dare to be tested, sir. Thank God my works often win architectural contests," replied Widi convinced. He seized the opportunity, didn't he want to be an architect and this company needs him too?

Santoso nodded while observing Widi. This child from the mosque, he would bother to deliver and immediately say goodbye without expecting anything in return, should he be given a chance?

Suddenly a young man entered Santoso's room.

"Eh sorry San, I don't know you have any more guests," said the man, he had wanted to go out again, but after glancing at Widi, he felt no need to be so polite, from his appearance it was definitely not an important guest.

"When can I get another architect? Dizziness me, all my candidates rejected Erlangga, even though he said he had to be flat-footed, he was also an architect, he liked the pretentious tuh who had an office, he said, though the office building of his work is also mediocre," complained the man.

"What a coincidence Mr Desmond, you have time for my guest interview? It has not graduated but often won architectural contests, Mr. Desmond would have better understand architectural affairs," pinta Santoso.

Desmond seemed to be researching Widi with a look of disdain.

"Interview same HRD first, today I was busy. Okay, I live first yes," replied Desmond dodged, he was not interested in the candidate proposed Santoso. While exiting the door, he codes for Santoso to follow him. Santoso approached him.

"Where was Lu mabok last night, San? A graduate of a foreign university, his diploma was thrown Erlangga in front of my face, uh you love me graduated high school," said Desmond mocking, although calling Santoso near the door, he said, but he did not try to shrink his voice so as not to sound Widi. Desmond laughed leaving Santoso shaking his head.

With a bad feeling, Santoso returned to meet Widi who heard Desmond's words. But Widi is not offended, she is challenged to prove herself capable.

"Sir, when I see this office I am sure, Mr. Erlangga whose name was mentioned, must be a great architect, I have long hoped my work can be seen by architects like him. If allowed, I want to draw a building to complete this office to give to Mr. Erlangga. May I have a chance, sir?" ask Widi.

Santoso captures the great energy hidden in Widi, he also wants to give Desmond a lesson for his arrogance, eventually Santoso challenged to test his intuition in assessing the potential of HR.

"Oh, of course, I will find you a quiet place to draw, before that I will take you around, so that you can read the tastes of Mr. Erlangga, he is indeed a great architect," said Santoso.

Apparently Santoso's intuition is accurate! 3 days later a young architect who had not graduated from college managed to occupy a large room at the end of this office building. Widi drew a sketch of the box house coupled with a triangular building and the description of the concept.

Erlangga repeatedly praised the image in front of Santoso and Desmond, "Desmond! Well this is what I'm looking for, architect, not a draftsman. This kid has a concept, his work has a life. You why bring me diplomas? I want a work not a document, if I need a document I just pesen to the artisan setting!"

Santoso glanced at Desmond with a meaningful smile. He was content to avenge Desmond's arrogance.

Time goes on, Widi has been occupying her room for 3 years. Until he finally found out that he was entitled to more than just occupying the room, Widi was the owner of this company, besides Erlangga.
