AFTER YOU GO ~Story About Farrel~
THE LUCKIEST MAN

The rain last night soaked part of the road that extends to split open fields, wet grass and puddles in the holes of the road to witness how heavy the rain last night. Someone ran slowly through those streets, occasionally stopping just to sigh, looking heavy and tired.

But why?

A person known to a man did not run fast, but why did he look tired?

The sports trousers he wore looked wet as a result of passing through the grass, it did not dampen his breathless steps. Closing his eyes was like taking off the load and running back. The atmosphere is still morning so not many people who pass by makes a person free to run and even stop every time.

As he passed by a large stone the man chose to stop, sitting leaning under the stone like a turtle hiding with its shell. Closing his eyes again heavily, what problem?

Why that guy?

His eyes went around like something was looking for but the gaze was slowly blank as the sun crawled up, I heard the sound of a call returning the man to earth.

"Farrel ... hey!"

The man who turned out to be named Farrel turned his head to the sound. His eyes narrowed as the sunlight began to pierce. "Remain here? Nyariin's mother."

Farrel clucked in annoyance, "why nyariin?" Farrell stood up to the man who was looking for him. "We came home today you don't remember?"

Yes, it turns out that the man named Farrel was spending his vacation in a village far from where he lived.

"Tell me Uwa, go home first. I still want to be here." The faithful man looked at Farrel and then threw a smile while patting his cousin on the back.

"Wouldn't there be a village girl who has made you captivated, huh?"

At that instant Farrel glanced cynically at his cousin, "don't be nervous! I just want to spend a few more days here. Before I go back to Yogya, back to work."

There was a tired and uninspired look emanated from Farrel's eyes and his cousin knew it. "It's time you found Sofia's replacement, Rel. You can't stay alone, you need a companion, you need a companion."

Farrel shook his head faintly and smiled, "I'm fine. It will always be good as long as you have God. Mad, thank you for always knowing what I think. But remember one thing, I'm not the old Farrel, I'm not the grudging, whiny Farrel now I'm getting old. So don't worry about me! Take good care of your son and wife lest there be any regret of losing like me."

"You don't tell old dong, you're the same I'm my elder. Just as you are cheating."

"Thank God you understand." Farrell went ahead of his cousin Ahmad.

"Hey, he said tell me to tell Mom, why come home?" Ahmad pursued trying to keep pace with Farrel's move.

"You're disturbing my mood Mad."

Farrel did not want his heart to be known to others. Prefer to hold all the feelings alone. Because he was sure the tough guy was judging by how tough the guy was to face his problems alone.

Actually a broken heart like the earth that was attacked by a tornado storm really can not be shown to everyone. Farrell thinks let himself and God know.

"Assalamualaik."

"Waalaikumsalam .. Where is the Rail?" Uwa approached Farrel just wiping the sweat that soaked his nephew's temple.

"Just run in the morning, Uwa instead of coming home now? Why aren't you ready?" Farrel took a glass of water on the table and then downed it to the toilet.

"Wait for you, take a shower!"

"Farrel's still here ma'am, we're told to go home first." Ahmad who turned out to be titled Ustadz interrupted the conversation of his mother and also Farrel.

The Uwa looked at Farrel as if asking for an explanation, the shady gaze was met with a gentle touch from Farrel. Farrel clasped the clenched fingers, the fingers that had raised them, the faithful fingers stroked him as he lost his way. Farrel wanted to show how much gratitude he had for Uwa who had played a role in replacing her mother in taking care of her. Farrel Farrel rubbed the back of his hand, "Farrel still wants to be here Wa."

Uwa nodded as if to understand what his nephew felt, to him it was a miracle that Farrel did not fall down after losing his wife two years ago.

Yes, Farrell lost his wife Sofia in a tragic way. It could be the reason why Farrel enjoys contemplating alone. Maybe the trauma he was suffering from was actually very heavy for him to carry alone.

But back again, so Farrel with all the feelings he harbored and trying to realize that he is the luckiest man in the world because it was so terrible trials for him and he was able to survive.

Has not many said that God cannot test His people beyond the means of His people. It is fitting that Farrel should be proud that he was the one who was chosen to live this kind of life. Isn't Farrel a lucky man?

Uwa smiled at her nephew, the fear that had never happened Farrel grew into a strong man after what he experienced. For Uwa now, seeing Farrel smile and be happy is a matchless joyous hope.

***

After the departure of Uwa and his family, Farrel was still pondering on the terrace. Silence takes over the atmosphere. The house that was a distance from other houses was rather tenuous resulting in no other sounds other than the sounds of nature and also insects that are mutually unpretentious. If previously there would have been Reasad son of Ahmad running around here and there, this time Farrel really felt lonely.

Wouldn't it be better if he just came home?

Farrel rubbed his face rough then chose to enter the house. Farrel left for a moment his world affairs and faced his Lord by performing dhuha prayers.

Farrel has truly transformed into a different human being than before. If we could follow his journey from here. Together we model what is good and eliminate the mistakes that occur in this story.
