Jennifer takes Lucas home before half-ten, while Dion hasn't arrived yet.
After entering the house, Jennifer placed a rose bouquet from the hotel on top of a pile of boxes near the entrance. He then opened the shoe cabinet and picked up a pair of men's sandals specially prepared for guests, putting them in front of Lucas. "Already sanitized, please wear."
After changing shoes, Jennifer placed her bag on a small table above the shoe cabinet and removed her coat, hanging it up. Meanwhile, he asked Lucas, who was sitting on the sofa, "What do you want to eat?"
Both have not had breakfast.
When Lucas changed his shoes, he replied, "Anything."
"If so I prepare breakfast only sober, yes" said Jennifer, as she walked towards the kitchen. A few minutes later, he came out with a tray, put it on the coffee table in the living room. He said to Lucas, who was sitting on the couch, "Drinking Mongolian milk tea first, will help cool you down. If it's hot, just take off your coat, the temperature in my house is pretty high."
Their house has a floor heater, and the temperature is warm, similar to late spring. Jennifer usually only wears a nightgown at home.
"Alright," agreed Lucas, feeling a little hot. He took off his coat and put it on the sofa.
Jennifer returned to the kitchen to start cooking.
Lucas sat alone in the living room, feeling a little bored. He poured a glass of milk tea.
Mongolian milk tea is salty, and she doesn't really like the taste. He drank a few sips and put down his glass, his gaze accidentally falling on the TV wall.
Jennifer's TV background wall has been designed as a bookcase that reaches the ceiling. Decorated with books, flowers, and artwork, giving it an elegant look. Not suitable is a small green plastic crocodile toy placed in one of the compartments above the TV.
Lucas suddenly felt drawn to this rather cheap looking toy. He wanted to see it closer. Standing up from the sofa, he walked towards the TV cabinet.
The crocodile was placed in a chest-high position. As he approached, Lucas noticed that on the back of the toy was imprinted a few provocative words: "Don't touch my head under any circumstances."
People always like to try something that is forbidden.
Lucas raised his hand to touch her. At that moment, Jennifer came out of the kitchen, carrying a plate of freshly finished fried eggs. Seeing this scene, he immediately panicked and shouted, "Don't touch that!"
But it's too late. Before his voice was gone, Lucas had already hit the crocodile's head. With a gentle click, the small crocodile suddenly opened its large mouth. In the next second, Lucas's eyes were exposed to patches of a sticky white substance.
It was cream.
The crocodile, as if spouting water like a ferocious dragon, started spraying cream all over Lucas, shaking his head. In less than three seconds, each part of Lucas was covered in a sticky white stain.
Jennifer wanted to laugh, but couldn't do it. He bit his lower lip hard, trying to hold back his laughter. His face became red.
Lucas wiped the cream off his face with his hands, clenching his teeth at the sight of Jennifer. He was full of frustration, unable to let go of his anger because he himself was the one who disobeyed the warning: "Don't touch that." Whose fault is this? Just his own hands.
He took a deep breath, held back his anger, and asked, "Why is there an item like this in the living room?"
"It was a joke toy, bought for fun," Jennifer ran to the bathroom and came back with a clean towel, giving it to Lucas.
While wiping the cream, Lucas, who was still skeptical, asked, "How many people are fooled?"
Jennifer paused for a moment, then honestly replied, "Just arrived yesterday, and you were the first lucky one."
Lucas froze, feeling like a fool.
Jennifer thought that she must be feeling ashamed at this moment, so she kindly comforted her, "I thought my buayaku would never find a fan, but you came like an angel."
Lucas bit his teeth and was emotionless, he responded, "If you don't know how to comfort someone properly, it's better to just shut up."
It's so hard for someone like you, who doesn't know how to appreciate things, to succeed!
Lucas remained silent and continued to clean the cream.
The cream was sticky and hard to clean, so Jennifer proposed, "Why don't you just take a shower? Leave your dirty clothes outside the bathroom, and I'll wash them for you. I got a dryer, dry it quick."
Lucas did not want to keep wiping with the towel because it only made it stickier. "All right."
Jennifer went to the front door and took a coffee-colored men's bathrobe and a pack of men's underwear that had not been opened from one of the boxes. He gave it to Lucas and said, "After you shower, you can wear my ex-husband's clothes first. Her underwear is new."
"All right." Lucas took his bathrobe and panties, then went to the bathroom.
Jennifer cleaned the living room floor first, then took Lucas' dirty clothes from outside the bathroom and went to the bathroom in the master room to wash them.
Having taken a bath at the hotel earlier this morning, Lucas took a quick shower, cleaned the cream on his face, and wrapped his body in a bathrobe before coming out of the bathroom.
However, as soon as he walks into the living room, the fingerprint-based security door makes a "click" sound and then "cracks," opens and opens. In front of his eyes stood a stranger.
The man had a tall and handsome posture, dressed in a light gray wool coat, a light yellow high-collared sweater, old grey jeans, and black leather boots. He emanates an elegant personality, looks cultured and classy.
When the man saw Lucas, he frowned tightly and asked in a cold tone, "Who are you? What are you doing in my house?"
Lucas immediately guessed who this man was: her ex-husband Jennifer.
What is this guy's name? Oh yeah, Dion?
Currently, he was wearing Dion's clothes from head to toe.
If you have been chasing sensations, it is not good to give up halfway.
Lucas immediately explored the role, to meet the expectations of Director Jennifer. He casually looked at Dion with indifferent peach eyes, slightly squinted, and said casually, "I'm his girlfriend. And who are you?"
Dion's expression froze, as if struck by lightning, he looked at Lucas in disbelief, his voice trembling uncontrollably, "You are, what?"
The awaited moments of torment had arrived and Lucas felt great satisfaction. With his hands in his pockets, he stood up confidently, not disappointing Director Jennifer's expectations. With a faint smile, he displayed a mixture of condescending and mocking attitude in his eyes, and arrogantly repeated, "His girlfriend."
Dion held his breath, or rather his breathing came to a halt, as if the air had suddenly sucked in. Soon, he saw men's leather shoes near the shoe rack, roses on the box, and an old gray wool coat on the sofa.
His face slowly became gloomy, and he felt a pain in his chest, as if being stabbed by a knife.
Despite her divorce, she still believes that Jennifer is hers. This feeling of ownership has become a habit, considering they have been together for ten years.
From the age of fifteen to twenty-five, from school to entering the workforce, Jennifer is always by her side. So he couldn't accept anyone else having Jennifer, couldn't accept even dying.
With a deep breath, Dion struggled to resist his urge to beat this man up. With a moody expression, he pointed at the door and shouted furiously, "Get out now!"
Lucas remained unmoved, smiling and looking at Jennifer. With a possession-filled, intimate gesture, she wrapped her arms around Jennifer's shoulders, pulling her in her arms. Coldly, he looked at Dion and said, "Hurry up and get your things out."
Dion clasped his fist, his expression cold as he stared at Lucas. "This is the business between him and me. It's none of your business, stranger."
Lucas insulted with his cynical smile, those attractive peach-colored eyes once again revealing an expression full of stubbornness. With a proud voice, he said, "How could this not be my business? He's mine now."
