After Married Husband Become Sugar Daddy ?!
Episode 15's

Jennifer glanced at him, and then ignored him. He pulled out his phone and prepared to call Fidelya, wanting to inquire about the situation of the two of them, Yon and Fidelya.

No one answered the call.

He tried to call Yon, but still there was no answer.

"Why don't they answer the phone?" Jennifer sighed and anxiously stared at the screen of her phone. He turned to Lucas and asked with concern, "Did they have a fight? Fide is grumpy..."

Actually, he was worried that Yon could get hurt.

"No, they don't fight" Lucas reassured him.

"Why didn't they answer?" Jennifer opened the call log again, ready to call Fidelya once again.

Lucas stops her, seeing Jennifer's actions. "Don't call again, maybe they're busy doing.

"...All right," Jennifer reluctantly put down her phone and changed the subject. "Are you hungry?"

"Yes," Lucas looked around the street looking for a restaurant and asked, "What do you want to eat?"

"While it's light, tomorrow I have to start filming and don't want to breakouts" Jennifer replied after thinking for a moment.

Lucas raised his eyebrows, slightly surprised. "Are you an actress?"

Jennifer stopped pretending and confessed, "Only unknown actresses."

Lucas recalled something Jennifer had mentioned before and asked curiously, "Are you not a stage actress?"

Jennifer sighed, "I haven't acted since I graduated. That's why I had to join this production and get a taste of acting again."

Lucas casually asked, "Why did you quit after graduation?"

Jennifer was silent for a moment.

"I'm married" she suddenly replied.

Lucas looked at her, surprised.

Jennifer smiled forcefully, "My ex-husband's parents don't like acting. They consider it dishonorable."

Lucas did not understand, "Why does it matter what they think? You can do whatever you want."

"If I hadn't given up on acting, they wouldn't have agreed to my marriage to Dion" Jennifer explained.

"What does Dion think?" asked Lucas for clarity.

Jennifer knew she was being questioned about Dion's opinion. He smiled bitterly, "He wants me to listen to his parents and work in the tax office. She said that acting was a demanding job, leaving me often separated from home, and she didn't want that."

Jennifer hesitated for a moment, "Because I want to have a family. My parents divorced when I was very young and started a new family. No one wants to accept me. During school, I was like a guest, stayed with my mother during odd months, then went to my father during even months. But no one welcomed me. Wherever I go, I feel like a burden."

He still very clearly remembered that feeling, depending on others.

Despite the biological parent's home, it was as if no one treated him as their own biological child. They see him as an unwanted guest, someone they must accommodate.

Although they never asked her to do any household chores, she voluntarily handled all household tasks, such as sweeping, mopping, washing, cooking, taking care of her younger siblings... He was afraid of being driven out, so he tried to please them in this way, proving that he was worthless, that he was not a beggar, but someone useful to them.

I remember the New Year in the last year of High School, I was at my mother's house. On New Year's Eve we made too much food. We can't eat everything, but it's considered unlucky if there's leftovers on the first day of the new year. So my mom poured all the leftover meaning into my bowl and said, 'Look how thin you are, eat more, spend it all.' I needed a lot of money for the art exam the next semester, and I was afraid of making mommy angry or risk not giving me money for the exam. So I left no food, I felt nauseous from eating too much, but I forced myself to eat it all. After watching the television show together, everyone went to bed, but I hid in the bathroom, vomiting and crying alone. At that time, I wanted nothing more, success in exams, being an accomplished student... I just want to have a family where no one is forcing me to eat food I can't afford."

Jennifer still remembers these events clearly, but her tone is calm, even a little too calm, as if she is telling the story of someone else.

Suddenly, Lucas understood the stupidity of his past actions.

At the same time, he felt a little pity for this woman.

He gave up on everything just to have a family, but in the end, he didn't get it.

If Dion truly loved her, he would not have asked her to sacrifice his ideals and ambitions, but would have wholeheartedly supported him.

The man loves himself more than anyone else.

However, Lucas did not say these things. After all, he could not comment on the personal affairs of others, and these words were of no benefit whatsoever for now. He must have understood it all.

In the end, he simply said, "Focus on your acting, you'll be successful."

This hopeful remark was something they both knew very well, because that was the message Jennifer sent to Lucas on Valentine's Day.

Jennifer glanced at Lucas and could not help but smile.

Lucas smiled as well.

After Jennifer finished laughing, she sighed again. "When I gave up the stage and got married, a lot of people, including my acting teacher, thought I was stupid. He said I would regret my decision in the future. Now I'm sorry, but different stages of life have different goals. At the time, I wanted to start a family. Using my current understanding of regretting past decisions is meaningless. I can't change the past, so it's better to move forward without looking back."

For a while now, he had been thinking a lot and gaining insights.

Lucas raised his eyebrows, "I didn't expect you to have such high aspirations in life, a true socialite."

Jennifer laughed and raised her right hand, creating a small gap between the index finger and thumb, while saying in perfect English, "A little."

"Well, treat me to a meal, and I'll tell you my past story" Lucas bargained.

Jennifer replied, "..."
