The Old Red Bridge

Natsu came up to me, "Nothing's left, is it?"

I made sure I filled my backpack. "No. All complete." My index finger and thumb fused together, giving a signal that meant OK.

"Oh, yeah! What about your shoulder? Does it still hurt?" I looked at him turning worried.

Natsu's face approached, "It's good that we're friends with the Fukuda twins. I don't want to pay a fortune to buy the topical medicine in the future." whispered Natsu made me chuckle.

Natsu stretched his hand up. "Don't forget to rub the medicine back on your bruise" he continued, gently patting the top of my head. Take a small nod before he steps away to the others.

At 08:40, we were ready to continue the adventure. Fear began to linger in my mind. Zeroichi_sama's strange thinking contained in the concept of the game challenges him, very far from human logic. My face turned to the right side. There's no one. Both of my hands even more tightly hugged Rei's arms.

"Aish!" Akiko turned my head. Making my and Rei's eyes intertwine. "He's the shadow you saw that night!" sanyang explained.

"You've been delirious all night just because of your weird imagination! I can't bear to see a satisfied smile on his face!" babble Akiko while pointing at Rei's face.

"You're the best banana lady!!" timpal Natsu gave her thumb.

I took off my hand embrace. "So that night ... the black shadow I saw .. isn't it a ghost?" I looked seriously at Rei's face.

"You're the one who's too stupid!" Rei turned his face away, avoiding my gaze.

"Hahh .. thank goodness." My muscles are no longer tight. "It's good to hear it because it's you!" My smile expands in relief.

Akiko, Natsu, and Kouga stopped their steps together. Me and the others stopped too. While Rei was sculpting on the spot, covering his face with the back of his hand. The sound of rushing water passing through the rock crevice, enlivening the situation of silence that suddenly came.

I got free ice cream for a week! Truly my lucky day!

"One ice cream for one day, with terms—"

Hearing the friction between the rope knot with the wooden floor, made my legs tremble.

"Calm down, we're almost there. Everything's gonna be okay." Rei tried to calm me down.

Slowly but surely, his steps led me to a place, where I began to feel the air getting more humid and cool.

"It's here." Rei said, stopping his steps. I open my eyes slowly. In front of me was Kouga who was talking through earphones, probably telling me his next turn to immediately cross the bridge.

Natsu elbowed Rei's chest. "You took a chance, huh?"

Rei stared back at Natsu, "Who do you think doesn't want to let go?"

The two of them slowly turned towards me. Then move down, glancing at my hand.

"ah! M–saf!" I said while bowing fast. Really, I feel guilty. "Thank you, Rei!" I stared at his face. "And about the ice cream, you have to keep it for a week, you know!" tugutku. "Es cream sandwiches at recess and after school!" lontarku can't wait.

Rei brought his face closer in front of me. "You still have my bill" he whispered with a triumphant look on his face. I feel like there's something bad about that. Ielan saliva soaks the esophagus while looking away, sweeping the surroundings.

"Wow." My face looked in amazement. "Is this the entrance of the forest?"

The cool air I felt, the moisture that felt so fresh, and the towering large trees accompanied by dense leaves to block the radiance of the sun, the, all of it gave a different impression from the previous place we went through.
