The New Grand Duke

"Don't you miss that grand duke start??" After 4 years Simon again asked this question.

Flo was as he pleased and still covered his face. "Yes!" Isak the woman. "Yes, I miss him so much!"

"Prepare yourself, we'll go down the mountain together. We'll take Hally, too."

Flo still sobbed sobbing and nodded her head repeatedly making Simon smile warmly at Flo's honest words.

"Look!!! Oh my goodness, the lights are so pretty!" Hally cheered cheerfully. "Good heavens!! Look at the fountain of iru in the middle of the city roundabout!!" The 10-year-old girl was enthusiastic, how not this is the first time in his life he can go down to the capital complete with his father also with Flo after a week more persuading Flo to prepare to go down to the capital.

"Hally are you amazed?" Flo smiled at Hally's carefree manner.

"Yes miss! I'm so happy!!"

The capital city is crowded at every corner of the street, flag decorations and parades adorn every large street. All for the sake of celebrating the victory of occupying local territory in a mission to expand the territory of the country. But Simon who looked around from that moment felt the awkwardness, the people were gathered, the flag was flying, the parade was there but the face of the community was not seen celebrating the victory.

"Are you going to stay around here??" Flo asks Simon when they get close to the city center. "Then I'll give you farewell." Flo lowered her head.

"I'll drive you."

"No need." Flo smiled warmly at Hally and Simon. "Greetings farewell done faster better."

"But your body is still..."

Flo took a cloth bag from Simon containing her clothes. "I can tell you tomorrow." Then he looked at Hally. "Hally come here for a minute." Flo opens her arms to hug Hally, the little girl immediately splashes in Flo's arms. "Thank you, yeah.." Flo patted softly on Hally's shoulder.

"Yes??"

"I've wanted to thank you so much for all this time." Flo said with still hugging tightly Hally.

"Miss why are you saying that??" Hally is still confused. "I didn't do anything." However, Hally hugged Flo tightly.

"I have to say thank you and sorry to you before it's too late." Flo let go of his embrace. "I always remember the boy.I haven't had time to thank them, I haven't even had time to apologize." Flo's smile turned mellow considering Gemma, Gloria as well as Nora. "How happy would it be if I could say that to them even just once."

Simon and Hally will stay 1 day in the capital, now they enter a simple restaurant to fill the stomach first before staying at a hotel near there.

"Welcome!" The middle-aged woman greeted the two of them as she entered the humble tavern. "What do you want to order?" The woman prepared a table for Simon and Hally.

Simon who has realized something is wrong with the faces of the people since then is now increasingly suspicious because in this tavern too many residents who are seen gathering with a gloomy and even sad face. "Before ordering, than that I want to ask. What the hell is going on with some of the people here? Why does the atmosphere of the capital look so gloomy?"

"Yes?" The owner of the shop was a little confused.

The middle-aged obedient woman raised her eyebrows and nodded in understanding. "Ah. that. So your new grand duke today has been crowned."

Simon was surprised to hope he heard wrong. "Huh? The new grand duke???"

"true." The restaurant owner confirmed it. "Today it has been a month since the death of the previous grand duke. Yesterday the mourning period was over, so today the coronation of the new duke. Duke Ethan Dalton Ferkalon." The owner of the shop put on a sad face. "The previous duke was very young and kind. We the people really hope the new duke can think of the community's distress like the previous duke."

"Ja. so you mean the previous duke..." Simon was still trying to accept what he had just heard.

"The late Winter Duke Leonhard Ferkalon. During the mourning period, the country was filled with tears and the people were very sad to lose a figure like him."

Simon immediately stood up and pulled Hally, "I'm sorry for the message later!! Hally let's go!!"

Simon runs down the street looking for Flo, his face anxious and scared as well as Hally he runs while looking around looking for Flo.

No!! Though I managed to persuade him to come down from the mountain!! Why?! He was the one who was about to die, and after 5 years he finally gathered the courage to face reality. But, how could this happen?! How can?!!!

Simon seemed to feel the pain that Flo would suffer if he heard the news of Winter's death. He kept running to find Flo.

Flo walked a little hastily, he was riled up. His heart was so riled up and it was hard to understand, hearing all the citizens whispering whispers about the duke's death. Hearing the grieving and lost citizens along the street in the market, Flo finally stopped at the house where she was with her three servants first.

Flo fell to see the condition of the house that is messy and not maintained. His breath was breathless and a little claustrophobic, he leaned against the wooden door and stared in disbelief.

Et.. Ethan said I could come back here, he said someone would wait for me..

"Duke Winter died during a territorial dispute in that cold war, how could he have died when he was that young?!"

"Although managed to seize the territory of the occupied power but what does it mean if the previous duke had to die??"

"Ti. can't be!" Flo's breathing was even more congested given what the citizens were talking about along the way.

Every citizen on the street is talking about something I don't understand.it must be just a rumor! It can't happen!!  She's dead...?! I ignored all that shit and ran here. But...where are the people waiting for my return?!

Flo cried and sat down on the street, drowning her head between her knees. "Hiiks. huu.." The woman sobbed sobs.

"Mrs Flo?!"

Suddenly there was a sound from behind that made Flo dumbfounded.

No way!! This voice is clear..

Flo slowly raised her head to see who was calling her.
