A Tale of Ary

54. Requesting

At midnight Ary just arrived at the halfway house where he was assigned. Once until Ary immediately lay down his body, because fatigue did not take long Ary was asleep.

The next day at the hospital where Rendy was treated.

Rendy still fell asleep after her mother cleaned her body and drank milk. Rendy was treated like a baby by her mother. The body is wiped using a washlap moistened with warm water. Mama painstakingly cleansed Rendy's face and part of her body.

Rendy sleeps for hours, and even Fadli's doctor visits remain unawakened. Doctor Fadli who suspected that something had happened to Rendy began to examine carefully. Rendy was unconscious again. His condition is getting lower, but last night when Ary left him the situation was stable.

Doctor Fadli also swiftly gave help to Rendy. Rendy was again placed in the ICU. His heart rate is weakened, the oxygen levels in his body are also reduced. Just a few hours left Ary condition Rendy back drop.

Doctor Fadli also took the initiative to contact Ary, first he faced the head of the hospital. Doctor Fadli asked the hospital chief for permission to leave or to pull Ary back from his current place of service. All for the sake of his humanity as a doctor. Whatever the doctor will do to save the life of the patient.

"Assalamualaikum! Ary flickers back here! Rendy's back to critical!" doctor Fadli said as soon as the phone connection was connected.

Without asking who picked up the phone first, Fadli's doctor immediately spoke as if he knew that the one who picked up the phone was Ary.

"Wa'alaikum salam warahmatullahi wabarokatuh. Who is this?" ask the phone lifter.

"Hmm, I'm sorry to talk to doctor Ary?" doctor Fadli cleared his throat before answering a question from the phone lifter.

"Shortly, Sir! I called first." replied the nurse who picked up the phone.

Ary is currently examining patients who have come for treatment. Although the hospital has not been completed, but many patients have come. This is because before it was made into a hospital, this building was previously Puskesmas. No wonder so many patients come for treatment.

"Dok, get a call from." said the nurse who had picked up the phone. He forgot to ask the name of the caller.

"Yes, this is also done" Ary replied as he walked up to his desk.

"Wait a minute, Mom!" pamit Ary on his patients, not to forget Ary also asked his patients to sit down.

"Yes, assalamualaikum.." said Ary so close the phone handle in his ear.

"Wa'alaikum hail, Ary! This is me Fadli. Rendy's back critically, you'll be right back here. I've taken care of everything, you can go back to this hospital now" said doctor Fadli in a hurry, as many of his patients were waiting.

"But Doc! The hospital is not yet finished, a little more is finished. Only the procurement of medical equipment, the construction is still the finishing stage." explained Ary.

"Once you have, leave it. There will also be an envoy from Jakarta, let him be in charge. I spoke with Rahmat's doctor" replied Dr. Fadli.

It is not only Rendy's condition that is the reason doctor Fadli forced Ary back to Jogja. The increasing number of patients makes Fadli's doctor need help from doctors like Ary.

"All right! Finish my business hours try to go back to Jogja, Doc!" ary replied at last.

A few hours later, after the patient was discharged. Ary takes care of his things to bring back to Jogja. This afternoon he will also return to his service home near the hospital where he served.

At nine o'clock Ary arrived at the hospital. He headed straight for the ICU room, where Rendy was still lying helplessly.

"The rend! What the hell are you?" greet Ary as soon as she enters Rendy's room.

"Wake up! Not tired of sleeping?!" continued Ary. Ary is still trying to wake Rendy up.

Ary begins to examine Rendy's state, from advanced tension to heart rate. To the lungs, stomach, leg nerves and lastly the eyes. Finished checking on Rendy, Ary sat on the right seat of Rendy's bed.

"If you don't want to get up, I go home. Capek knew back and forth the long journey, where the road was broken again" said Ary, then stood up.

"I go home first, tomorrow I come again when you wake up. If you don't wake up, I don't want to come anymore" Ary said as he walked out of the room.

"That..."

"She..ry.."

Ary who faintly heard his name called turned his head towards that voice.

Seeing Rendy's hand move weakly, Ary actually did not have the heart to see Rendy's current state. So weak helpless, his breath was stinged from the tightness.

"Yeah.." replied Ary approaching Rendy.

"Wanna drink?'' ary asked as he was next to Rendy.

Rendy just shook her head.

"Don't leave me!" answer Rendy lirih.

"I died without you!" continued Rendy.

"Sstttttt! Don't talk like that! I'm here, I'll take care of you until you get well" Ary said, holding Rendy's hand.

It was the first time Ary wanted to hold Rendy's hand. Usually Ary always keep not to come into contact with the skin of the opposite sex. Rendy was happy because Ary was willing to hold her hand.

"Thank you!" rendy replied with a smile.

One Week later.

Rendy's condition has made a lot of progress. He even looked fresher. All this because there is Ary who always painstakingly takes care of Rendy. Rendy is getting excited about living with her illness.

Ary's parents today will come to visit Rendy, because they have been told by Ary. Ary has told his parents everything. And Ary's parents approve, just waiting for Rendy to recover to discuss Ary's marriage with Rendy.

"Assalamualaikum.." greeted Ary's father as soon as he entered the VIP inpatient room occupied by Rendy.

"Wa'alaikum salam warahmatullahi wabarokatuh" replied Ary and Rendy kompak.

At the moment Ary is guarding Rendy, as Rendy's parents are out to buy lunch. It also happened that Ary had finished examining his patients.

"Dad, Mother!" ary said as he walked up to his parents then kissed the backs of his parents' hands.

Father and Mother approach Rendy after shaking hands with Ary.

"How hotshot?! Already light!?" greet Ary's father while shaking hands with Rendy.

Rendy smiled clumsyly, she felt ashamed of being called a whiz by her future in-laws.

"Alhamdulillah, it's quiet." replied Rendy briefly. He was confused about what to call his future father-in-law.

I'm sitting in a chair by Rendy's bed. He's gonna talk to Rendy. Since Rendy's condition has improved, there is no problem if you ask her to chat (think Ary's father).

While Ary and Mommy sit on the sofa, choosing to separate from Father and Rendy. Not long after that came Rendy's parents.

"Assalamualaikum" said Rendy's parents.

"Wa'alaikum hail warahmatullahi wabarokatuh." replied all who were in that room.

"Eh, there's besan!" said mom Rendy. Mama Rendy is introduced by Ary with her parents during a visit to Ary's official house.

"It just so happens that the father and mother here, it is actually not polite to discuss this in a hospital like this. But circumstances forced me to make this decision." papa Rendy opened the conversation.

Currently the two parents from Ary and Rendy were sitting together on the sofa, while Ary was sitting on a chair near Rendy's bed.

"By not reducing our respect for Jenengan both, I as Rendy's parents want to ask Ary to be our daughter-in-law as Rendy's wife." continued Rendy's father, Candra Wijayanto.
