For a seven-year-old child, the loss of a mother and sister is painful. Jeremy is in disbelief after hearing the news of his mother's death by phone from a police officer.
"Sorry, is this really Edio Thompson?"
"Yes, right. This who? "
"We from the Dallas police department gave you information about your wife being a murder victim and it looks like she can't be saved."
"What?! What about my boy? He and my wife were at home the night before the incident, was he okay? " Edio couldn't hold back his teary eyes, the news certainly hit him a lot.
"Can you explain your child's characteristics? " The policeman said in a sympathetic tone.
"He's eight years old, black-haired and his name is Joshua Thomson." Clearly Edio who was still holding back was trembling all over his body.
"Sorry, we haven't found any other victims besides your wife. Please wait for the next news from us. "
"Have the killers been caught?"
"Unfortunately we lost him. He's a suspect who's our fugitive, and hasn't been caught yet."
By morning, Camilla was astonished that Edio and Jeremy's uncles were stuffing suitcases into the trunk of a car, then pick-up cars and trucks carrying their household goods.
"Morning Uncle, morning Jer. Where are you going with that much stuff?"
"Camilla, uncle and Jeremy are moving house to New Mexico. You take good care of yourself with your family, yeah. Say hello to Erick and Elcia."
"really? you guys leaving now? and this house?" Camilla's eyes are already glazed. He doesn't want to part with Jeremy after losing Joshua.
"This house will be sold, while the house is empty. "
"But, when did you guys come back to visit here?" Camilla asked, she could not deny that she was very sad.
Nine years later...
Camilla was getting ready to go to school. He was already in High School or High School Class 10. Today is her first day of school after a long summer break. As he was wearing his shoes, he saw something different. The house next door that was once inhabited by the Joshua family is now like it has been inhabited by others, because the lights of the house are on and a car is parked in the yard of his house.
Suddenly a man in a high school uniform comes out of the house next door. Camilla was trying to figure out who that man was. They also accidentally looked at him, then the man came to Camilla and invited her to meet.
"Hi, my name is Alex. I'm the new owner of the house. Greetings, now that we're neighbors, I should know my neighbors, right?"
"Hi, I'm Camilla. Did you go to North Dallas High school?"
"Yes, how do you know?" Alex asked in amazement because Camilla could tell the name of the school.
"I'm just guessing randomly."
"Waw, you're talented at being a fortune teller. "
Camilla laughed softly because of the jokes Alex took out.
"I actually went to school there too."
"Oh, wow, what a coincidence we're one school. Would you like to go with me? Let's get in my car." Alex holds the keys to his car.
"Eh, I don't want to bother. " A Camilla replied, she felt bad riding in someone else's car.
"I don't mind, we've become friends, have we? we're also one school, what's the problem?" Ask Alex. Camilla thought again and agreed to Alex's invitation.
"Okay, sure. "
