Saving Assena

Assena and Petter sat together in the park. Until the hot chocolate in their respective glasses has now been exhausted.

Without any conversation, only Petter occasionally spoke a word or two to break the awkwardness between them. Assena responds with only a slight glance or a small nod. Assena felt really awkward.

Petter who usually talks a lot, I don't know tonight which is just the two like this his tongue feels so twisted. He preferred to look at Assena's face in silence.

While the crowd still sounded and the thumping of music was also heard.

When they do not know what to do, with each hand still holding an empty glass. Suddenly their attention was shifted to the sky when fireworks were seen soaring and then breaking up up there. There was an explosion and the light seemed to spread in all directions.

"That's beautiful isn't it?" Petter, who was looking at the sky, smiled at Assena.

Assena who heard that, turned her gaze to Petter then nodded with a smile.

"But I don't think it's just the fireworks that make tonight beautiful." Petter was still staring at Assena.

Assena who returned that gaze now frowned. "Then what?" Confused ask.

"Because tonight saw fireworks with you, this togetherness that feels wonderful to me." Petter smiled as he stared at the girl in front of him.

Deg, start again. Hearing every word that had just come out of Petter's lips made Assena's heart beat back like she was about to get out of place.

What the hell is that? is Petter trying to joke?

Now Assena froze looking at Petter trying to digest every word Petter said.

Hahaha laughed, but Assena laughed.

"What are you talking about? You're trying to seduce me, yeah!" Assena still made her laugh. He just tried to argue not to get carried away with what Petter said. He was afraid that Petter was just joking.

But by the way this is the first time Petter has seen Assena laugh.

Now even Petter who was silent saw the response of Assena who thought he was seducing.

"Why silence?" Assena asked frowned.

"If I'm not actually seducing you and I'm talking about reality, what??"

Deg, and again. Making Assena freeze instantly returned Petter's gaze.

Long as their gazes locked onto each other, Petter slowly brought his face closer to Assena's.

Getting closer and closer, now the distance Petter's face with Assena's face is so thin.

Assena rounded her eyes, what exactly would Petter do to her?. Something came to his mind, but was that really what Petter was going to do?

If it can be heard, maybe now their heartbeats are mutual.

Petter's lips and Assena's lips are about to meet. But the sudden explosion of fireworks sounded so shocking to both of them. Petter immediately gasped pulling his head that was already leaning towards Assena's face.

Petter was so embarrassed, what was he really thinking??. He almost did that.

Assena was no less embarrassed for their closeness that had just happened.

Thankfully it didn't happen, it's better, right? than to feel more ashamed of this.

Now the awkwardness seems to stretch between the two of them.

"Ah see the fireworks there again, beautiful yah!" Petter said pleasantries while scratching the back of his head that did not itch.

Assena did not know how to respond, she just tried to force a slight smile with her palm rubbing her nape.

"Emm, I think I should go home, it's late." Assena said she wanted to run away from this awkwardness immediately.

"Well, I'll take you to the front." Petter tried to melt the atmosphere.

"Yes, I'll find Jasmine first. I'll say goodbye to him first." Assena said as she stood up from her seat.

Following Petter came to stand "let me take it".

"Are you not going home either?" Ask Assena who has now stepped together.

"Oh yeah, I'm giving it back to you" Assena while thrusting the coat that she took off that had been stuck to her back.

"It's okay. Just wear it!" Reject Petter while pushing back the hand of Assena who had been hit.

"No, I'm not cold anymore." Assena said slightly forcing Petter to take back his coat.

There was no choice, Petter received the coat. And deliver it on his left arm.

They continued to step back to the place where the crowd was created. Still seen the guests are still gathering ria. There was talk and laughter in every group of people. Some of them enjoy the dishes as well.

Assena's eyes now swept around, looking for Jasmine's figure among the crowd of people.

While Petter helps search, he and Assena split up to find Jasmine.

Assena continued walking into the crowd, her eyes still sweeping in all directions. He walked by the pool, sometimes a group of people blocked his path, making him have to carefully step afraid of falling into the pool.

Not far away, a pair of eyes caught the figure of Assena who was walking on the edge of the pool. The owner of that eye is Viona. With his hands holding a glass of drink, his smile seemed to expand. His eyes were still fixedly staring straight at Assena. As if Assena was a prey for him. He gulped down his drink, and placed it on the table and stepped towards Assena to get closer.

Assena is still confused looking for Jasmine's pleasure, now her steps are stopped she took out the phone from her small bag. He's gonna call Jasmine. As he was busy looking down with his phone, suddenly someone from behind pushed him. Byuurrr Assena fell into the pool.

Everyone's eyes went straight to the pool.

"Who is that?"

That's all it sounds like, but no one's going to help.

Assena who splashed into the two-meter deep pool, he could not swim. He seemed to have trouble just bringing his face to the surface. He wanted help but his mouth was full of water.

Petter who heard that someone had fallen into the pool. Rushed running and when he recognized the body with a pink baby dress that was moving in the middle of the pool there. "Assena" he said without a vote.

Without a second thought he immediately threw the coat he was carrying in any direction. He plunged into the pool to save Assena. He swam quickly to reach Assena's body faster. After the limp body he found, he immediately took it to the edge, and brought it up.

Panicked, Petter continued to shake Assena's body to ask for Assena's already lost consciousness. "Hey Assena quickly came to her senses" she cried so frantically. In the stomach of Assena. Uhuk uhuk Assena coughed with a lot of water coming out of her mouth.

"Thank God." Petter was a little relieved by hugging that soaked body. "Are you okay?" Petter lowered his face watching Assena's face on his lap. Still showing worry on his face.

Assena, who was still feeling weak, tried to sit down. "I-I'm fine, thank you for saving me Petter." His words stammered, hearing lips tremble from the cold.

Petter tried to help Assena sit down. "That's nothing, what matters is that you're okay." Petter smiled with relief.

"Wait a minute!" Petter stood up and looked for the coat he had thrown. He picked it up when he was seen near the table.

Then put it on Assena's body.

Instantly, Assena just a lamp staring at Petter's face that was sticking a coat on his body.

Then someone with a roar broke through the crowd of people surrounding Assena and Petter.

"Jeez Assena are you okay??" Jasmine hugged Assena anxiously.

"How did you fall into the pool?" Now Jasmine confronts her body with Assena's body. Holding his best friend's shoulder with worry. "I was worried about you when I found out you fell in there." Now both of Jasmine's eyeballs have begun to tear and re-hugged Assena. He was worried about Assena

Assena just smiled. "I'm fine, don't worry about me".

Quickly put out his embrace. "How could I not worry about my own best friend.i" Jasmine looked at Assena's face wryly.

"Now it's okay, I just want to go home." Assena glanced at her surroundings already beginning to realize everyone was covering her.

"Aren't you going to change your clothes first?" TanyaPetter was still staring at the pity of Assena.

"No, I just want to go home." Quickly answer.

"All right."

Now Jasmine and Petter help Assena to stand up, and take her away from the place.

Everyone was still staring at Assena's departure, and it was also heard that they were talking about the unexpected incident.

After Assena's departure with the shocking incident. Someone was standing looking straight at the direction where Assena went until she was no longer visible. His gaze was so empty, then bowed softly.

He is Alvin. Actually when he found out that Assena had fallen into the pool earlier, he was about to save Assena. But it turns out he lost quickly to Petter.

He was only able to silently watch how he always lost to Petter to get Assena.
