A Friend from Malaysia

A Friend from Malaysia
First Menstruation

It all started with a drop of blood on the bedsheet.

That morning Yolanda woke up from her sleep and shouted to the surprise of all the residents of the house.

"Yahoooo!!!! Mamaaay!!!"

The scream immediately made the servants run to their little lady's room. Unconcerned the Papa who had been in the basement immediately ran to his daughter.

"Miss Yola, why?" ask the servants.

Panicked looks on the 12-year-old girl's face.

"Look at Ana! There's blood on my bed and in my pajamas, too. Yes Tuhaaan .... do I have a severe, deadly disease??" yolanda asked hysterically as she showed some blood on her sheets.

Seeing that the servants numbering three could not help but smile at the innocence of the child of their master. While Papa Abhimanyu saw it just cleared his throat awkwardly and then turned around wanting to return to the living room.

"Geez, what's wrong Ana Kirain. Turns out it's just 'it' ...."

"What does Ana mean just "that"? I'm bleeding, Sister Ana! Bloody!" said the girl with a dramatic mimic.

"Hmmm. But it's not a disease. All normal women experience it. That's a sign you've reached adolescence. Soon you'll be all grown up, beautiful!" the servant named Ana explained.

"But how is this? How am I supposed to do?" whinek Yolanda who was still dissatisfied with that answer.

"Yes already. Ma'am Ana help you clean up first. Later Ana teaches you how to wear pads," said Ana.

Meanwhile, the Mama who heard his daughter's screams earlier, was just about to come to his daughter Yolanda. He listened to the screams from the upstairs room, but because he was busy watering the flowers he had just come to his daughter.

"Yola why, Pa?" she asked her husband who was going down the stairs.

"Mama check it out for yourself. It's a woman's business" replied Abhimanyu, then passed leaving his wife dumbfounded by the answer.

"Female susan?" mummy Mama wonder.

Yes, that day is a historic day for Yolanda Gunawan. The first day of her period changed most of her life.

After taking care of her daughter and explaining a few things related to menstruation until Yolanda left for school, Mama Ratih finally calmly sat down with her husband who was enjoying coffee while occasionally checking his phone.

"The time has come, too. Does it have to be now, Pa? Yolanda's young, she's our only daughter. That little girl, how could Mama possibly marry him at such a young age? Can't we wait until at least he's old enough? 17 year. Yes, Mama is okay if Yola is 17 years old. But Yola is 12. That kid, he knows what?"

Abhimanyu let out a long breath. He understood his wife's worries.

"Ma, the agreement that our family made with the Nirwan family is absolute. Can't be bothered. It is for the common good and the bonds of friendship between the Gunawan family and the Nirwan family. Forever our family will remain indebted to their family. Now Yola has entered the age of aquil puberty. It means he's ready to get married!"

"But Yola was a kid, Pa! How could such a small child get married? C'mon Pa! We'll postpone this wedding plan. We just got married at a pretty mature age, why does Yola have to go through all this? They won't even know that Yolanda is menstruating if we don't tell her, anyway" Ratih said.

"Ma, enough! Papa is tired of all these debt problems. Papa had long since looked down on their family. By marrying Yola and Ilham, the debt of gratitude is completed. Papa can stand with his head held high without having to bow his head again at their side!" Abhimanyu answered without dispute.

"But Yola is still in school. SD Pa's! Still SD! He is also our only child. The reproductive system is not yet ripe for marriage. Not to mention that Yola was taken to Malaysia. What about Mama?? How's it???" ask Mama dramatically.

"Mama thinks too much. The Nirwan family also knew that Yola was a child. They would also naturally not demand anything more like a descendant for the time being. The marriage of Ilham and Yola today is only to bind and strengthen the bond between our families. The real household life they would live later if Yola was an adult." Abhimanyu stopped his words for a moment.

"By the way Papa met Inspiration, he was a good and educated boy. Papa's sure he won't do anything to Yola before our son grows up. After all, Ilham will soon continue his education in Berlin," continued Abhimanyu.

"Trust me, this marriage is for a while just for bonding. Your beloved daughter will be safe until she grows up. Papa will also later talk about this to the Nirwan family. And certainly Yola's life and education will also not be disturbed because of this marriage. She can still go to school as usual, Ma."

Ratih could only sigh. This made him upset anyway.

The Yolanda school.

"City of Yola ...."

Yolanda simply returned the greeting with a makeshift smile.

The greeting of boy friends as usual every day adorned Yolanda's eardrum. Some children who have been pubescent are like that. In their average age of 12-13 years, most begin to show their interest in the opposite sex. Likewise with the students of grade 6 Elementary School. Yolanda in their eyes is indeed very attractive, beautiful, and also fashionable.

Just look at the fur coat attached to the body as it reaches it. Not to mention branded shoes and watches and bags that will not necessarily be purchased by classmates.

For a child his age, Yolanda does have a fairly high stature compared to other peers. Many people have speculated that Yolanda is talented as a model.

Instead of greeting the boy friends who greeted him, Yolanda the little girl instead came to a fat boy.

"Ehsan, would you like to make that?" Ask with Malay dialect imitate the character upin-Ipin.

"Eh, Yo-Yola. Ja-don't bother me, will ya?" said the fat boy in a frightened tone.

Yolanda was very happy to bully him. The last time the little girl with her gang, the centess trio teased her by putting some cockroaches in her bag until Hafiz was screaming during lesson time.

"Why, Ndut? I just want to greet you, you know!" yola nosy.

"Enape you've always bothered me? I never fucked you!" reply Hafiz.

"Do you want to know why?" ask Yola.

Hafiz nodded. Yeah, he wants to know why. If he is wrong, he promises in his heart to apologize and change it.

"Because I don't like you!" yolanda said with a mocking smile. "You're fat and ugly. Anyway I don't like you!"

"Then you want ape?"

"You want to do ape?" ask Hafiz to panic.

"Where's your PR assignment?" ask Friska, one of Yola's best friends.

Friska and Yuri instantly stirred up the bag of the padlock boy.

"A- is here! You want to copy it to? I'll love you but don't bother meuu ..." whine Hafiz with eyes that glisten.

"Copying PR? You're so fucking sick! I'm Yolanda Gunawan, I've never cheated anyone else's PR. I trust my own abilities more," Yola said proudly.

"It looks like this is Yol, the PR," Yuri said.

Yolanda received the book and looked for the pages of the book containing Hafiz's PR, and heartlessly tore off the pages of the book and kept them in her pockets.

"Yongoooo!!! Don't rip my duty!" he screamed while crying.

"Pabs!!! It's happening! I'm sorry Ehsan, uh Hafiz! I'm sorry!" lead with laughter.

"I'll report with my brother, you later! My brother must have avenged you! He wants to come to Indonesia in a week!" jeremy Hafiz.

"I wait, Endut! Just call your brother. Who will be afraid?" yola said indifferently while wagging her hair.

Hafiz did not understand why Yolanda was so hateful and nosy to him. Their parents are friendly. Yolanda's parents seem kind, but why is her child's temper so bad? Even several times their families visited each other since the Hafiz family moved from Malaysia to Indonesia because Hafiz's father was sent as a diplomat.

But wait until his brother comes, Hafiz won't let the rancid girl calm down. His brother would definitely scold those who liked to be nosy to him.

At a Matriculation class, Pre-University in Kuala Lumpur, a man in his 19s was busy studying in earnest. He is Inspiration, the man to be betrothed to Yolanda.

His attention was distracted for a moment when the sound of his phone rang. Oh, this is from Mama, he thought.

Mamah, Papah and his sister Hafiz have indeed moved to Indonesia since a few months ago. But because Ilham still had to complete his secondary education which will soon be completed, Ilham was forced to stay in Malaysia with Atoknya.

Because Ms. Gu (Teacher) did not seem to be present at this subject hour, Ilham finally raised his Mamah call and activated his speaker so that he could continue writing some more tasks for tomorrow.

"Yes, kenape, Mah?" tanya Ilham with Malay accent without looking at the phone.

"Ilhaaam!! Mama, I want you to have happy news!" his Mom's screams were called.

"Slight down, Mah! Happy news ape?" tanya Ilham is still engrossed in writing with her pen.

"Yellow, Yola! She is menstruating, Kid! She's menstruating! She has matured! You should go to Indonesia this week. You must get married soon!!!"

Yheng!!!! Jrengjeong!!!

Ilham quickly grabbed his phone and closed the speaker. But late! All the eyes of his friends in this room were on him and seemed to strip him. What a shame!

"A, hahaha. Mama, what do you mean by Mamah?" the whisper is a little bit anxious.

Then without wasting time Ilham put down his stationery and brought his phone out of class so that no one would steal his chat with his Mom.

"Ilham, Mamah and Papah have talked about this with you. Your marriage to the daughter of the Gunawan family must not be contested. You and Yola are getting married this month before you leave for Berlin."

"Your friends!!! How could Inspiration marry that little boy? Don't even know, how to marry a small child? Mate with Papah do not joke with Inspiration. Like no other joke je," replied Ilham.

"Madam and Papah don't want to joke with you Inspiration. Anyway, in a few days, Mamah want you to come here. Mamah did not like to be denied," said Mamahnya Ilham.

"But, Mah ..."

"No ade, but-but. Two more days, you're here!"

Pajo .... Peware ....

The phone call is dead too. And Ilham was still glued to where he was standing.

Married married? Haaa? Is this the time of Siti Nurbaya?

"Buehva ...."

A pat on his shoulder made Ilham wake up from his daydream.

"Malays ...."

The girl smiled. Real pretty.

"You're kenape?"

Ilham.

"Not apee," he replied gently.
