Day 4: Fever

...Fever may be a common thing for everyone to experience, usually this is caused by changes in the weather or exposed to rain. Fever itself is hated by Akari, he can not do anything and must always feel an uncomfortable feeling in his body....

...⚫26 Days⚫...

Akari slowly opened her eyes as the sunlight started to enter the cracks of her room, she felt her head hurt a lot and her body was very weak. Trying to get up Akari falls back into her bed but she pushes her legs even trembling. With great difficulty Akari stepped into the kitchen and headed to the fridge to pick up the ingredients. When the fridge was opened Akari's body shivered in the cold as the cold air of the fridge came into contact with her skin. He quickly picked up some vegetables, sausages and eggs he had brought on the table.

Taking the pot and filling it with water Akari stepped quietly, placing the pot on the stove top, then she left the stove after lighting the fire. Akari returned to the table, she started chopping vegetables and sausages and then washing them over the sink.

Akari glanced towards the pan filled with water she was cooking, but it seemed like the water she was cooking was still not boiling. So he decided to rest for a while, he sat himself down while twitching his head which felt very heavy. Akati never thought he would have a fever just because of the rain yesterday. Feeling that his head was getting sick and his body was also getting tired Akari closed her eyes to rest for a while while waiting for the water in the cooking to boil, but because of the drowsiness that began to disturb him Akari without realizing it was asleep.

"Hwaaaaaaaaaa, the vow is empty." Hanabi shouted in surprise when she saw smoke billowing from the pan that had started to blacken, she directly ran towards the stove to confirm the stove fire. Hanabi grumbled softly looking at the freshly bought wok having to charred so fast, then she started looking for who the person responsible for this was.

Hanabi's eyes twitched irritated when she saw her brother who was sleeping on the chair instead. She approached to scold her brother but upon seeing his brother's reddened face Hanabi was instantly worried, she quickly stuck her hand on her brother's forehead and was startled when she felt her brother's forehead was extremely hot. He immediately ran up the stairs to call his father and Kai.

The sound of the pounding of the feet that made Akari sleep disturbed, she slowly opened her eyes and then remembered she was cooking water, Akari immediately turned to the stove and saw her dish was charred. He wanted to run there immediately but his body did not approve of this desire.

"If you have a fever instead you don't cook." Akari turned to her side and saw all her family members staring at her, Akari looked down regretting her actions. "I'm sorry Akari's father." her father simply nodded then turned his attention towards Hanabi who was standing next to him. "Hanabi can you replace your brother's duties today?" Hanabi nodded obediently and started walking towards the stove to pick up the skillet that had been charred. "You better take your medicine soon and I'll tell your teacher you can't go to school today."

Akari immediately looked up to hear her father's words. ''No need for Dad, Akari will definitely recover after taking the medicine." Her father looked at Akari with a demanding look not wanting her words to be rebutted. "What if something happens at school."

Akari bowed her head sadly, she had to feed the koi fish there or else the gamble with her luck would be void. Akari's father was a hard man but seeing her son who looked sad like that made her feel guilty. He knew very well that Akari had a relentless nature that was passed down from her own nature, rightly what the fruit people said fell not far from the tree. "Alright, but at least I'll call Taki and ask him to take care of you."

"No, please don't Dad, Akari's okay, don't make Taki-kun messy." And once again Akari refuted her father's words, her father just stroked slowly as he passed away leaving Akari. Not long after his father's departure, Kai arrives with a glass of water and a medicine. After thanking Akari for taking the medicine given by her brother. "What needs to be in between, brother is afraid Akari feels dizzy on the road, it can be dangerous."

"It's all right, Akari is well." Kai, though distrustful of Akari's words, nodded slowly as he stood up and left Akari to help Hanabi cook.

...⚫26 Days ⚫...

Akari walked slowly, her eyes felt so heavy to open she hated her condition so much, in his heart he wondered if Taki also had a fever because he was also with him playing in the rain yesterday. "Good morning Akari." Taki suddenly appeared from behind him surprising Akari, Taki's cheerful expression changed to worry when he saw Akari's slightly red face. He placed the back of his hand on Akari's forehead. "You shouldn't have to go to school if you have a fever."

Akari did not comment on Taki's words, instead she noticed that Taki's condition seemed to be fine in contrast to her. "T-taki-kun doesn't have a fever?" Taki raised one of his eyebrows in shock and was confused by Akari's question. "meaning?"

"Yesterday Taki-kun also played rain with Akari, but only Akari had a fever." Taki smiled slightly as he listened to Akari's explanation, he placed his right hand over Akari's head and ruffled Akari's hair. "Of course the Akari thing, the immune men and women are different know, men are usually much stronger with girls." Akari nodded in understanding, but before she spoke again she felt her head getting dizzy, her eyes seemed to spin and finally wiped.

Taki who saw Akari getting more and more confused quickly welcomed Akari before hitting the ground, he tried to call Akari and pinched her cheek to resuscitate Akari but it seemed that all his efforts were useless. It had occurred to Taki to conceive Akari and bring her home, but Akari's house was too far away from here and school was not too far away. Taking the decision Taki raised Akari in front of his chest and slowly started running towards the school. Akari's body feels so light to Taki that she can run quickly to school, upon arrival at school Taki goes straight to the health room. This action attracted several pairs of curious eyes and also worried about the state of Akari, many students and schoolgirls followed Taki from behind.

"She has a high fever her body temperature is very hot, I've asked her not to go to school today, but not Akari's name if not stubborn." The girl giggled at the sight of Taki who was riding on the moocsh about Akari's stupidity or something. "There's no need to worry Taki-kun, Tano-san will be fine if he takes a short break."

Taki heaved a sigh of relief at the words of this beautiful girl in front of him. "Thank you Nishimiya-san." The girl nodded while smiling at Taki. "Call me by my little name."

"Well, Kimi-san." Taki said but the girl in front of him just rolled her eyeballs bored by Taki's formal call. "I'm not that old as I know." Taki sighed softly looking at Kimi. "Well, Kimi-chan."

"That's true." Kimi said she turned around leaving Taki when her friends had finished taking care of Akari and started leaving Akari's room. Kimi waved her hand cheerfully as she was about to disappear behind the door. "What's wrong with that girl? all girls are troublesome."

...⚫26 Days⚫...

Akari started to open her eyes slowly, she felt something wet sticking to her forehead raise her hand Akari touched her forehead and found a cloth stuck to her forehead and realized that it was a compress used to relieve the heat of her head. She is confused as to why she is here, which she knows she just got on her way to school with Taki and next she doesn't remember anything.

Akari glanced to the left and found Taki asleep on a different mattress with him but still in the same room, Akari concluded that Taki had taken her to the health room when she lost consciousness. Akari's face suddenly turned red but this time it wasn't because of her fever, she blushed when she thought of Taki carrying her all the way here.

Akari's eyes were fixed towards her left wrist where she put a small pink watch. "It's almost time to go home, I'm late feeding the koi fish." Glancing again to the left Akari saw Taki was still asleep, he did not have the intention to disturb Taki's sleep, therefore Akari forced herself to sit down but it seemed like her head was not dizzy anymore, his body also felt lighter to move. "It looks like I'm cured." Akari got up to take her bag on the table and walked slowly leaving the health room so as not to make a fuss that would wake Taki up later.

Not long after Akari left Taki sleeping alone in the infirmary, the door creaked open and showed Sayaka entering the room where Taki was sleeping. But Sayaka only found Taki who was lying on the bed.

"Heyyy Taki where's Akari?" A startled Taki immediately woke up from his sleep, he immediately glanced towards Akari's bed and did not find Akari there. "Maybe in the pool." Taki immediately ran as fast as he could leaving the distant Sayaka behind him.

"AKROV!" Taki called out to Akari who was crouching in front of the pond, she gasped in shock and turned to look at Taki who looked worried and frightened. "What's the matter Ta..."

"WHY WERE YOU EVEN YOUR OWN FEASIBILITY WHEN YOU WERE STILL SICK HUH...?" Taki yelled angrily at Akari who was in a sick condition she was traveling alone like this, Taki was very scared if something bad happened to Akari. Hearing Taki's explosion Akari's eyes rounded in shock, she lowered her head full of regret having made Taki worry like that. For as long as Akari had known, Taki had never snapped at her like this.

Akari heard Taki's long breath, which was then crouched beside her. "Actually what makes you so interested in this pool, yesterday Akari even to the rain and pain of being here right? And now I guess Akari must be desperate to come to school because of this fish pond, am I right? " Akari kept her head down, she was still not ready to see Taki for now. He only nodded small in response to Taki's question, the two fell silent comfortably enjoying the afternoon atmosphere that brought the soft wind seminar as it was already November and soon it would snow.

"Where are you going? We're so worried about you knowing."

"It's late in the afternoon we just go home yeah, it's not good if people get sick out at night."

"Hey, do you hear me?" Akari nodded enthusiastically as she stood up and walked hand in hand with Taki without ignoring Sayaka's shouting voice. After Akari and Taki left the school area Sayaka's screaming voice slowly began to be heard no more. ''It looks like tomorrow morning dew will appear."

"Growd?" Taki turned his head towards Akari who was looking at him in a daze. "Well the dew is beautiful, they emit sunlight in the morning they glow gracefully clinging to the foliage." Akari is now very interested to see for herself the dew that Taki said tomorrow morning, and he was very sure that what Taki said was true because not even Taki was wrong in his reasoning about the weather. Taki from childhood is very interested in nature he even learned to predict the weather, maybe that's why every night Akari sees Taki always smiling and uplifting looking at the stars.
