Day 3: Light

...Akari, the name actually comes from the word Hikari which means light. My family gave me that name in the hope that I would become a bright light and provide warmth to everyone around me, but in reality it was she who became my light, my guide in every step, the future direction of my happiness that I have always wanted to achieve. But light is not a mass, it is an arrangement of waves that physically cannot be held or touched. Light is also very fast even its speed is said to be the fastest thing in the universe. It is of course the same as my light, he is very fast in the literal sense, he is said to be the fastest runner in the school who is now in the chairmanship of the running club....

"So I'm awake!" Hanabi was galloping around while scouting the door of Akari's room, yet she did not get an answer from her brother. Deciding to enter, Hanabi turned the doorknob and peered inside but inside the room, her brother was already awake and was busy turning the pages of his book without noticing his sister who had entered his room.

"Sister let's get off breakfast!" After his sister called again, Akari turned to look at her sister who was leaning her head on the door. "All right, well I'm coming." Then the two of them began to walk down the stairs to get to the dining room, there was already his father who was arranging the table with food and Kai who also just came out of the room.

After finishing breakfast, Akari immediately put on her uniform and started going to school. Looking up at the sky Akari smiled gently as the sunlight hit her face the wind also played a role by flying her hair strands. "Seeing from the wind direction and hot weather in the morning, it is likely that the afternoon will rain. You'd better bring an umbrella if it's really raining."

Akari turned her head to the left and looked at Taki who was staring at the sky. Somehow Taki can know things like this but Akari can always trust Taki with the weather forecast because it never misses even once she knows Taki. "But I can't go back home, if I do it might be too late."

"No need to worry, I'll bring an umbrella for the two of us later." Akari smiled happily when she heard Taki say, "Thank God" he said.

"It seems like tonight I can't accompany you home, I'm given a guard shift from seven o'clock tonight. But don't worry about the rain, I'll borrow my umbrella for you." Akari is saddened to hear Taki's words that can't accompany her today, but she desperately wants Taki to accompany her and spend more time with her. But Akari understands she must not be selfish, Taki also has to work to support himself. With a smile Akari turned towards Taki. "Taki-kun just works, Akari can take care of herself. So no need to worry."

Taki only nodded in agreement but he was also very sorry about not being able to look after Akari tonight. Although Akari believes she can take care of herself but Taki is still worried, Taki cannot imagine what would happen to Akari if she came home alone at night. "But still, it's best that Akari doesn't come home too late tonight."

Taki sighed annoyedly seeing Akari not responding to her words which meant that Akari did not want to hear her words. "What the hell would happen if you didn't feed the fish just one day? Not that he's gonna die or what? What's actually there until you want to be there every day? Are you doing a ritual or maybe knowing a myth you want to prove the truth."

Akari's eyes glared slightly in shock at Taki's words, she didn't want Taki to know that she believed the myth, and what if Taki knew about her feelings for her. Is it possible that it will make their friendship collapse and Taki will hate it, Akari shakes her head there is no way someone will hate you if they know you love her right? Akari hopes it's true.

"Well how else would you not want to obey my words, you should be able to take care of yourself." This time Akari did not answer Taki's words, the two of them walked in a comfortable silence making their journey feel very long.

...⚫26 Days⚫...

Akari arrives at school and soon enters the classroom, she sees Sayaka sitting in her chair writing something on top of her book. "There's PR?" Akari asked as she had sat down at her chair smping Sayaka. With a little slit Sayaka answered. "No, I'm just putting together a plan for my date with Sai, it's gonna be a weekend soon."

"Oh" Akari brought her head closer and peeked at Sayaka's writing, she slightly flushed why there was a kiss on Sayaka's list.

"What kiss should it be?" Sayaka does not turn around to answer Akari's questions, she stays busy with the thought of making her date schedule. "Sure, it's a way of expressing your feelings to your partner." Akari does not know how to refute Sayaka's words, but she thinks it is not true if one of the couples does not want to do such a thing then it is better that his partner will understand, right? Not even coercion as Sayaka said. But Akari cannot voice her opinion because in terms of romance, Sayaka is much more experienced than her.

"What's wrong with Arashi-san? He looks so nice and friendly to me like no other." Sayaka's chopsticks on the way to her mouth stopped when Akari asked. He put his chopsticks back on top of his bento box and stared into Akari's eyes. "If you're so curious why not ask him directly."

Akari pouted, she placed her benthic box on top of her bag and started walking then crouched on the lip of the pond. He saw a black Koi who was playing swimming freely within the pond. "That's impossible to know."

Sayaka just shrugged her shoulders no matter, she went back to eating her bento. He had actually heard of the rummors that had developed in his school since their first year, people saying Arashi liked Akari ever since. Sayaka can't deny the rumor because she can see it clearly from Arashi's eyes to Akari's, but Sayaka knows a girl like Akari won't be aware of such things, he also does not want to tell this to Akari because however if Arashi is still not ready to tell his feelings to Akari, then it is not the place for Sayaka to speak.

"Taki-kun today..." Akari was silent in the middle of her sentence, she thought back to tell Sayaka that Taki would not be able to drive her home tonight, but if Sayaka finds out it's possible that Sayaka won't let her stay here until nightfall. "It's not so."

Sayaka's eyebrows slightly lifted at the change in Akari's face, she could tell Akari was hiding something from her but she still valued Akari's privacy and would not force Akari to say something she did not want to say. "Let's go back to class, the lessons will start soon."

Once again time passed so quickly for Akari, the final lesson hour ended just like that without feeling to her. Sayaka has just returned home as well as Taki, now that Akari is alone sitting in the back garden chair of the school. the watch in his hand had shown at six but the sun was still shining as soon as summer would come. But the sunlight did not last long as dark clouds began to appear covering it and spilling water in brton-ton quantities. "It looks like Taki-kun is right again." Akari monologues while smiling up to the sky to see the rain that is starting to get thicker.

Elsewhere Taki sat on the porch of his house staring at the water that had begun to fall. Occasionally he sipped the black coffee in his cup quietly, but his mind remained restless wondering if Akari had gone home or not. Akari is more important than her job, but to find another side job if she gets fired later will not be easy. But with the weather like this makes it difficult for Taki to go to work, especially himself who does not have a vehicle like a car will arrive wet when he gets to the coffee.

"Hihihihihi" Taki turned to the table and saw his phone vibrate and the tone of his phone made him believe it was an incoming call. "Hello uncle what is it gonna take?"

"Is Akari now with you?" Taki grew more agitated when he thought of the words of his interlocutor who was Hikari's father. "No uncle, is he still not home." The sound of breathing from across the phone makes Taki massage his forehead which began to get dizzy and agitated. "No, she's not home yet."

"Uncle take it easy, Taki will definitely find Akari soon." Taki got up and ran towards his room, picked up his jacket and immediately ran away from his house towards the school.

With a loud breath Taki pushed the school gate that was not locked because it did not have a key either it was lost or how. After she gets into the back garden of the school, Taki must be forced to smile when he sees Akari running around in the park and somehow jumping over a puddle of rain while laughing off something that has already happened never done by Akari since entering the middle school.

Taki took off his jacket and also opened his shirt and then began to move his legs towards Akari. Hearing the footsteps behind him Akari turned around and when she saw Taki heading towards her direction she screamed in shock and turned around again looking at Taki bare-chested.

Behind him Taki raised one of his eyebrows when he saw Akari shouting and turned around. "Aren't we used to shower together since childhood, why are you ashamed to see me like this."

"That's different Ta... Taki-kun's." Taki grinned when he got an idea in his head he then ran towards Akari, hugged Akari's waist from behind him and started to observe her and bring her around. Akari screams in fear as Taki spins her in the air, she feels her world spinning and her head dizzy with Taki's actions. Taki also said so, he stopped and released Akari then both fell, lying on the ground with grass because of dizziness. "That was fun." Taki said with nogos-nothing in every word. Akari nodded approvingly to Taki's words, they had not done such a thing for a long time.

"Now let's go home." Take Taki who got another nod from Akari, both of them stood up and cleaned their clothes. While walking towards Akari's chair was reminded of Taki's work. "Don't Taki-kun have to work, then why come here?" Taki ignores Akari's question, giving his jacket to Akari out of fear of the cold, but Taki actually wants to cover Akari's black bra that looks translucent from her thin money uniform, especially exposed to water. But that doesn't mean Taki will say it because he knows Akari will definitely be very embarrassed, and if people ask why Taki didn't do it in the first place then Taki will answer. 'It is not good to waste the opportunity to wash your eyes' especially Akari has a chest that is fairly large for high school children usually.
