Ghosts in Minimarket

Actually this incident has long happened, on Tuesday, October 30, 2018. My mom and I shop at one of the minimarkets located in Jatinegara District, East Jakarta. Minimarket is quite large and has two floors. Said employees, minimarket employees, and people who live around the minimarket, the minimarket is haunted.

Because it was a long time ago a dozen years ago at a time a month after the minimarket was completed in the wake. A pregnant young mother was shopping at the new minimarket. At that time the minimarket was still very quiet because it had not been built long. The mother carried her shopping trolley through a hallway containing kitchen spices.

The hallway contains kitchen spices that are located at the back of the minimarket. So the place is a bit quiet and located the most edge. The mother nudged one of the storefronts containing cooking oil with a trolley she carried. From the top shelf of the storefront one large cooking oil fell right on the mother's head.

The mother fell to the floor, but was half conscious and short of breath. The shopkeeper who heard the mother ask for help immediately approached her in the kitchen spice aisle. They immediately took the mother to Premier Jatinegara Hospital which is beside the minimarket, only on the road limit.

But when he arrived at the hospital, the doctor said that the mother was dead and the baby in her womb had also died. After the incident, he said many buyers in the minimarket heard the sound of trolleys walking around the kitchen spice aisle, he said, but when they passed by, they saw no one carrying a trolley across the hall.

And he said also many minimarket employees who still hear the sound of trolleys pushed at night even though the minimarket is closed. Hearing that story I was ordinary and didn't believe too much because I thought the way that mother died didn't make sense. I think the story was just made up to scare people. But I just believed when I experienced it myself when I went to the minimarket with my mother.

Actually, it can be said that I have shopped dozens of times in the minimarket. But never experience anything strange while shopping. Just Tuesday when I was shopping at the minimarket I experienced and saw something strange. When my mom passed the hallway where the kitchen spices. I pushed my mom's trolley and my mom picked the groceries and put them in the trolley.

And near the basin under the stairs that's where the young mother died. But while waiting for my mother, I did not wait in the basin under the stairs. Except I'm waiting by the sauce and ketchup storefront. A little far from the cooking oil storefront. Well, from the basin under the stairs, I saw a black shadow twitching in it. Coincidentally, at that time in the kitchen spice hall only I was alone in there.

Somehow back then in the kitchen spice aisle was not as crowded in the tea and coffee aisle. I also consider the black shadow is only my imagination or hallucination. But suddenly a small bottle of cooking oil from the cooking oil display case fell out on its own. Even though the bottles of cooking oil in the display case were arranged very neatly. Suddenly someone patted me on the shoulder from behind. It turned out to be my mama.

My mama said we'll be right down the laundry aisle. I immediately put my trolley back into the laundry soap aisle. When I was a little far from the kitchen spice hallway, I heard the sound of a trolley being pushed from the direction of the kitchen spice aisle towards the hallway behind it. So the sound of the trolley over time like shrinking the volume of his voice. Obviously when from earlier I did not see anyone carrying a trolley around the kitchen spice aisle.

I did not pay much attention to it and assume the sound of the trolley came from one of the trolleys of minimarket buyers who were passing through the kitchen spice aisle only. That was my experience in the minimarket in my home area that I had experienced. Whether it's original or my own imagination. But I feel like it's real.
