1001 Horror Stories
Maghrib Night

I'm Roy, a boy from a decent family. We are in the sub-district city whose name is Cikampek, you are certainly no stranger to the name especially if a long holiday arrives especially when it is near Lebaran. This horror story I want to tell is happening in December of 2019, so allow me to tell you.

It was Sunday morning, the sunny weather made the outside air very delicious. The day before there was an announcement that on this day there will be a power outage from 7 am to 5 pm, so I invited my girlfriend, Rini, to take a walk on a motorcycle. At 11 pm we finally went to Karawang, while my parents went to the kebon to check the work of the craftsman there.

Throughout the trip we talked a lot. From the important things to the unimportant things, one of them is that we like to tease other motorcycle users who are with their girlfriends as well but the woman is not given a helmet “cie cie really friendly, if affection dong” helmet is so disturbing us to them. It has been 1 hour and a half we traveled, finally we arrived at one of the famous malls in Karawang. “mau what do we?” ask me to Rini. “is up to you aja roy, I ngikaloo” “ya but want to do nih rin? Are we watching that? There is a Split Moon in the American Sky 2 tuh kaya exciting also sih” “yasalah deh then”. We finally saw the movie.

After finishing watching, apparently outside the heavy rain can even be said to have rained very large angina that demanded us to wait for the rain to subside. We wait in one place to drink a warm drink, while waiting for the rain to subside we also talk a lot, counting off boredom. It did not feel the clock has shown at 16:30, I also peeked outside and it turned out the rain had subsided and we went straight to the motorcycle parking lot.

“rin, pack this raincoat. I bring 2 because” said me while giving a raincoat to Rini so as not to get sick due to wetness exposed to rain. The journey home was decorated with rain and a little flood slowed our journey, I was forced to drive the fastest motorcycle only 40KM/h. When we arrived at Rini's house, the clock showed at 18:10, because I was afraid the night was getting late, so I just went straight to the house. The journey from Rini's house to my house took about 25-30 minutes.

“padahal already want 7 o'clock, why is it still dead only electricity sih” said when I arrived at the housing. “mah pah, bukain pintu” screamed, I said, but nothing is shaken. Housing feels very gripping, there is no light at all even the neighbors like there is no life. I tried to call my parents but the answer I received scared me, instead of the connecting ringing that was heard but a creepy subtle whisper was heard from my mobile phone. I tried to shout calling the old man but the reply received really made my feathers goosebumps, when I shouted “mah pah” but the one who answered was a very subtle whisper said “iyaaa” then followed by a rumbling sound out of nowhere.

I was so scared of all the distractions. I tried calling back but the subtle whisper reappeared even my phone could not light up. I sat on my motorcycle, staring around in the dark. The darkness and rain made things even worse. I tried calling again, thankfully this time. My parents said that there was no one at home and he told me to come to one of the restaurants to meet him.

I turned on the motorbike, I gased hard and saw in the rearview mirror that there was a white figure sitting on the porch. I didn't care about it and said “fucking devil bangke!”. Arriving at the restaurant, I was relieved to meet my family. I didn't dare tell her what I was going through because I was afraid my sister would be scared at home. After eating, we went back home and it turned out that the electricity was back on and the white figure sitting on the porch of the house must have gone.
