Zombie Resistance: The Eagle Team
Preparation for Departure 2-2
“Wait a minute Vice-Captain, why did you suddenly choose a low-ranking soldier to become Captain” asked a senior member of Zombie Resistance. “I don't need to answer questions from people who are not concerned” replied Vice Captain in a threatening tone.
“Sorry sir, can you explain why I can be chosen as the next Captain? Why not you?” ask Revelation. “Because you are the warrior who has defeated the mutated zombies, who is now nicknamed Scratcher with only four people and also you are the only person recognized by Captain” replied Vice Captain.
“Acknowledged? I never knew that the Captain acknowledged me?” ask Revelation. “Running the last mission with the Captain, using the Captain's weapons, was once trained by him, and you are the only one who saw how the Captain died at the expense of himself for the safety of everyone. By having done all that, you are more or less already recognized by the Captain and maybe if he is still alive, you might be made his right hand” replied Vice Captain.
“I will not force you to want, but if you want, it will be progress for Zombie Resistance Indonesia, because it can have a great Captain” continued Vice Captain.
After hearing the Vice-Captain's words, Revelation thought about what she should do. While the Revelation is still thinking about what it will decide, Wahidyn and Septian are talking about what the Revelation might say.
“What do you think he will answer?” ask Septian. “Entaihlah, maybe he will leave this Team” replied Wahidyn.
“What are you guys talking about?” said Dani who surprised Wahidyn and Septian.
“Don't surprise me like that woy, anyways since when have you been aware of your trauma?” septian was shocked.
“Just now, but it's okay, I know he won't kill me that easily and if I get shot, he must take me to the emergency room” Dani replied casually.
“How are you sure? if you know, our Chairman is actually a liar who is a lho” expert, Wahidyn said. “ But he's not a guy who likes to leave his friends isn't he?” answer Dani with another question.
Septian and Wahidyn were silent at what Dani said, and they began to realize that their worries were futile, the three of them knew that Revelation would not disband the Team even though he had become the Captain and maybe the three of them would be appointed as his guardians. When they fell silent, Revelation had already got the answer to everything and she said the answer calmly.
“Sorry, Vice-Captain, I refused it” replied Revelation.
“Can I ask why?” ask the Vice-Captain. “I'm not the kind of person you think I don't want to bear a heavy burden, after all I'm 19 years old, I still want to enjoy my youth with my friends, even though what we did was just argue about something unimportant, after all I am the Chairman of the Eagle Team, I do not want to leave them”, Revelations said.
The Vice Captain fell silent after hearing the reply from the Apocalypse and after a while the Vice Captain smiled slightly and began to speak.
“Alright then, if that's your decision, I won't force you, now you can go back” Vice-Captain said.
When Revelation was done with its affairs in the Captain's room and was about to return, suddenly a transmission appeared on the virtual screen that was on the wall behind the Captain's desk. The screen displayed a blurry display, probably due to a communications tower being damaged due to a previous Scratcher attack, but still able to transmit sound.
“To Zombie Resistance Indonesia, we Zombie Resistance China gladly accept you guys to take refuge in our underground base on condition that the Indonesian Zombie Resistance forces help us defend our underground base” voice women with voice the one firmly came out of that virtual screen.
“I Deputy Captain of Zombie Resistance Indonesia, we thank you and agree with your terms, we will leave for China as soon as possible, our number is only 500 people including with Zombie Resistance members, we will depart by sea-” line Vice Captain's sentence is stopped because the virtual screen transmitting his communication has stopped.
“Well then, Revelation, the Chairman of the Eagle Team, I give you an important task, which is to observe the road and secure it for our departure to China, find the fastest way if you can, if you can, hurry up to the main gate and carry out your mission” Vice-Captain orders to Revelation. With the spirit of Revelation immediately replied with respect, “Good Sir!” after saying that, Revelation immediately returned to her Team room and told her Team about the mission they had to do.
Upon reaching the Revelation in front of his Team's room, he immediately opened his door and immediately informed them of the mission they were about to undertake, but as Revelation looked into the room, he saw that his companions had already prepared their equipment, and that, also the equipment of Revelation, Revelation was silent astonished at the door of the room of the Eagle Team.
“Where are you going?” ask Revelation in wonder beside the door of her team room.
“What are you saying? We have a mission, right?” answer Septian. “Because of that we have prepared” continued Wahidyn.
“How do you guys know?” tanya Revelation began to enter the room and take away her equipment.
“Of course we know, we have tapped-“ Dani sentence stopped because Septian hand shut Dani's mouth firmly. “Do not mind him, Dani is still struggling because he just realized from his trauma” said Septian panicked.
“Which is even more important, what is our mission this time?” ask Wahidyn.
“Oh yes, let me explain as we go to the main gate” said Wahyu.
The Eagle team sets off towards the main gate of the headquarters and Revelation explains their mission on the journey, which is to find a safe way to go to the nearest port. When Revelation had explained their mission, the Eagle Team had already reached the main gate of the Zombie Resistance headquarters which was now a gate made of wood guarded by Zombie Resistance members.
“We are from Eagle Team, Vice Captain has given us the task, let us pass!” say Revelation to the Zombie Resistance members guarding the gates.
“Good! Open gate!” shouted the guard to the other gatekeeper to open the gate for the Eagle Team. After the Eagle Team passed through that gate, the gate was closed again.
“So we have to find the nearest and safest road huh?” ask Septian.
“That's how it is, but if you can, prioritize security first” replied Revelation
“Then what about this line” Wahidyn said while activating the clock and removing a virtual screen that shows a picture of the map of Indonesia. After Wahidyn showed the map of Indonesia, Wahidyn enlarged the map to show where they were.
“Our current position, which is in front of the destroyed gate, is in the Central Jakarta area. If you want the fastest line, we have to head north all the way to the port, but on this line. .” Wahidyn stopped talking and showed a video of the circumstances surrounding the port described by Wahidyn. In the video, there are more zombies hanging around in the area than in any other area.
“As you can see, there are so many zombie” said Wahidyn. After seeing the video, all the members of the Eagle Team looked disappointed and did not see the video again, except for Revelation who continued to pay close attention to the show.
After looking at the video continuously Revelation saw there was a gap of a few minutes where all the zombies in the area went to another area, The revelation keeps looking at the video and counts the lull in time the zombies are gone.
