In ancient times. There lived a Titan King named Forkis. Forkis was very happy when his wife, Keto, gave birth to three twins. Forcis loved her three children so much that she asked the Titan Mother Gaia to give her three babies grace.

Gaia granted Forkis' request, giving her two daughters Stheno and Euriale, a gift of immortality. While the last born forkis baby girl, given the grace of the beauty of a Goddess. This baby girl's name is Medusa.

As an adult, Medusa wanted to devote herself as a priest in the Temple of the goddess Athena. Forkis was very pleased with Medusa's decision and allowed her daughter to pursue her wishes.

However, because Medusa's beauty often makes men chase and endanger her, Forkis asks Stheno and Euriale to accompany and guard Medusa. The two Medusa sisters were also happy to fulfill her father's wishes.

Then one day, Poseidon came to the city where Medusa lived. Stheno and Euriale learn of Poseidon's arrival and seduce him to meet Medusa. Poseidon followed the wishes of his two brothers, and went to the temple of Athena.

Arriving inside the Temple, Medusa's beauty makes Poseidon fall in love with her at first sight. A feeling similar to that of Medusa. Then they both had a love affair.

Until one day, the overflowing lust made Poseidon and Medusa lose her mind. They make out in the Temple of the Goddess Athena. Athena learned of this and was furious with Medusa and her two brothers. Athena punished the three brothers by turning their hair into a poisonous snake. Then the lower body of the three is transformed into the body of a snake.

Medusa received the most severe punishment, because Athena also cursed both eyes. So that when there are creatures that look directly into the eyes of Medusa, the creature will turn into stone.

The three brothers are known by the name, Gorgon.

Poseidon grieved at the punishment Athena had given the Gorgons. Then he apologized to Athena and persuaded Athena to grant her leniency for the punishment she had given. Athena accepted Poseidon's apology and complied, giving each one a pair of wings on the backs of Medusa, Stheno and Euriale.
