CHAPTER 28
Twelve cheese-filled croissants were arranged on a white round plate placed on the dining table. Beside the plate; there was also a box of doughnuts with various variants; while the ceramic glasses were black, filled with a variety of drinks to complete the breakfast menu on a sunny morning at the house behind the Dhananjaya Inn. The birds sang in a carefree tone outside the house, as if the universe was also trying to staunchly hide the true facts about the terrors that were happening.
Four chairs round the dining table made of wood upholstered in red and white checkered fabric located in the dining room of the house behind the inn. Kin, Gavin, Cassandra and Wanda are seen sitting on the dining chair while enjoying breakfast. Of course, Wanda did not know what had happened yesterday. He continued to babble and condemn the terror that occurred.
“So, Gavin often shows at Myrtes Cafe?“ ask Wanda while chewing a chocolate-covered donut. He ate with a loud voice. On the table in front of him are two glasses of coffee and water.
“Yes, once a week I show at the cafe, Bi,“ replied Gavin and then sip coffee.
“Oh, good thing last night you are no longer there, huh?“ ask Wanda later. He put the new piece of donut he ate two bites on a small round plate, then grabbed a coffee cup and took a sip.
“Ya,” replied Gavin while nodding. “I also talked to Cassandra.“ Gavin looked at Cassandra who was sitting next to him.
Cassandra nodded her head while smiling. “A lucky Gavin did not show and, usually when Gavin Show, I accompanied him,” said Cassandra, of course, she is now already one of the conspirators ‘hiding the facts is actually’ from Wanda.
“Means, God still loves you. Try if last night Gavin was at the cafe .. Maybe we won't meet this morning. Kin, you should also be careful now. This city is no longer safe,“ said Wanda, then she stared at the box-shaped golden clock that was coiled around her wrist. “Aibi left for work first, huh? In the meantime, don't go downtown. Hazard.“ Wanda got up from her seat and walked to pick up the briefcase she had placed on the table in the living room. “Kin,“ call Wanda before stepping to the front door. Kin stared. “If you have free time today, you should take Sonia to the museum. It seems he is interested in history,“ continued Wanda.
“Any Commander,“ reply Kin while raising his respect.
Wanda smiled at Kin. “Ok everyone, see you later tonight,“ said Wanda to Kin, Gavin and Cassandra who are still sitting at the dinner table.
“Bye,” said Gavin while waving his hand to Wanda, followed by Kin and Cassandra.
After saying goodbye, wearing a brown jacket with feathers on the neck, Wanda stepped outside the house leaving Kin, Gavin and Cassandra in the dining room.
“So, your aunt knows absolutely nothing about the Zodiac?“ gavin asked Kin who was sitting in front of him.
Gavin laughed after hearing Kin's words. “Yes, we are indeed superheroes, Kin. Like Iron Man,“ he continued.
