You Pinang Me As Honey

You Pinang Me As Honey
Episode 19: Spending the Night

The long awaited day for Arinda came. Go home. After about a week Arinda adventurous in the magnificent villa Ardan, now is the time Arinda returned to her parents in the city.

But now, the return that Arinda had been waiting for so much, became something that Arinda felt heavy. How not. In the villa, Arinda found a beautiful lake like a painting, which is set with clean air and cool pampering. The beauty he did not meet in the city.

Later in the villa, he found a new family. Bi Imah with the servants. With their sincerity and obedience, as well as friendliness and not considering Arinda as someone else, Arinda felt comfortable being in that foreign place with them.

And the most valuable for Arinda is, in the villa he also returned to meet Ardan, the best friend he had been looking for. Although the encounter begins with many mysteries and drama, Arinda's encounter with Ardan is an important part of her life. Like whatever it takes.

"Prepare. After breakfast we'll be leaving soon..."

Ardan's message when they get back from the rooftop this morning. They actually spent the night on the rooftop of the villa, with a lot of heart-to-heart storytelling and talking. Starting from Ardan's apology for not inviting Arinda at the wedding, nostalgic, joking, to Ardan's emotional expression.

"How are you feeling now, Arin...?" Ardan tried asking.

"I'm happy, Ar." Arinda answered while breathing long air. "Thank you, it's made my holiday so beautiful and colorful here."

Ardan nodded and smiled hearing that. He felt grateful because Arinda indeed seemed to feel comfortable in his villa.

"Come back, when the time has come..." Ardan's words made Arinda frown. That's how Ardan, a lot of sentences that make Arinda have to find the meaning and meaning of the sentence itself. But Arinda doesn't want to know more often. And consider it the wind.

"Aryn..." Ardan called out as it began to quiet.

"Hhh..." Arinda answered with her eyes still closed, enjoying the fresh air that night. There was drowsiness that had slipped, because the air there really made Arinda lulled.

"I love you..." Ardan's words this time, really make Arinda can't breathe. Instantly the drowsiness of Arinda disappeared somewhere. He opened his eyes quickly and looked sharply at the owner of the voice.

"Don't, Ar." Arinda shook her head later. "Our relationship as friends has been so wonderful and fun. I'm happy to be your best friend. And I'm so happy to have such a great friend like you."

Ardan listened to each of Arinda's words calmly. He looked at Arinda's thin lips as she spoke. Sounds fun. Sometimes his eyebrows curl and his eyes seem to talk. Ardan loves all that, and all about Arinda.

"Love your wife with all your heart, Ardan." Said Arinda later. "He who deserves your love more fully."

"Then I will marry you. That way, you'll be my wife, and I can love you with all my heart..." Ardan was excited to say that.

"Ish..." Arinda squinted her eyes, glancing at Ardan who she thought was delirious. Arinda responded jokingly.

"And you want to make me your second wife...??? Just try it if you dare...!!!" Arinda clenched her hands and thrust into Ardan's face. As if he were threatening.

"Why is that...? I'll ask you as honey. Honey is sweet, and healthy again..." Ardan giggled himself, while waiting for Arinda's reaction upon hearing that.

"Iihhh. If your wife had heard, you would have strangled her to death..."

"Hey, what am I dying for...? I'm gonna propose to the girl I love..."

"Look, I'm going to complain to your wife about this..."

Arinda moved towards a long table that was quite high on the outskirts of the place. It had a chair with high legs as well, and Arinda was already sitting there. Looking at the lights that looked very small, far away in the city.

"Just try if you dare...!!!" Ardan followed and sat down next to Arinda.

"Tell him, too, if I propose to you with this..." Ardan thrust out a small box containing a very sweet ring, with a tiny sparkling diamond stone.

Arinda looked up at that. He saw Ardan's eyes. Hardly able to speak anymore.

"Hey, what is this...? What's wrong with you, Ar...?" Arinda lirih.

"I'm serious...!" Ardan tried to convince Arinda of his feelings. "Marry me, Arinda Maharani..."

Arinda flinched to hear that sentence. He looked back at Ardan's eyes that weren't joking. The water began to wash his eyes. He turned his gaze away from Ardan, away as fast as lightning. There was an irregular rumble in his chest.

Ardan took a deep breath, and exhaled slowly. Giving Arinda the opportunity to digest and understand everything. He closed his eyes, waiting for what Arinda wanted to say.

"Cand..." Arinda.

"Hmm..?"

"I know..."

"But you can hurt..... "

"I didn't hurt anyone, Arinda...!!!"

Arinda stopped talking as Ardan snatched his words. Ardan's tone rose, making Arinda both shocked and scared. He felt that something was troubling Ardan.

"I really love you, Arin. Is that wrong...? Do you think I'm committing a crime...?"

Arinda is not warty. He doesn't know what to do now.

"I beg you, Ardan, don't do this..."

"Then what should I do...? Letting and forgetting my feelings just like that, then burying them deeply...???"

They both fell silent. There's no sound. Only the gusts of the night wind wiped their skin.

"I'm sorry, Ardan. I'm..." Arinda hesitated at her own words. It was like he was looking for a way to breathe. Stuffy. Because you have to be honest with your feelings.

"I can't...!!!" Arinda shook her head, with a soft voice on her lips. A struggle for Arinda to say that.

"Arin, I'm not asking you to answer anything right now." Ardan tried to calm Arinda down. He grabbed a small jewelry box in front of Arinda, closed it and kept it back in his pants pocket. "Find your answer at home, tomorrow."

And instead of being calm, Arinda even more riled up with her own attitude. He was afraid, if it turns out he was the one who actually hurt Ardan's feelings. But he does not want to give uncertain hope, if you have to give a convoluted answer. "Huft, what should I do now...?"

"You want to drink something...?" Ardan shifted the topic.

"Drink...?"

"Hu um.., follow me..."

Ardan moved and walked slowly towards his minibar. Let Arinda sit on one of the chairs at the bar table.

"I'm not good at making drinks. I'll make you some warm tea, will you...?" Ardan said with a smile and put an apron on his body. It's like a barista in Arinda's cafe.

"You're cool with that apron..." Arinda seduces Ardan. Wanted to forget the turmoil in his heart just a moment ago.

"O yeah..? Do I have to wear it often, to look cool in front of you...?"

"Hahaha, what the hell..." Arinda laughed at Ardan's behavior.

"Mmm, how about papermint tea...?"

"Can..." Arinda smiled sweetly. Then I asked Ardan.

"You want coffee...? I learned a little how to brew coffee from a reliable barista in my cafe."

Arinda got down from her chair and walked after Ardan, then put on an apron as Ardan did. Soon they were busy preparing their own materials.

"I'm going to test my skills now, special for you..." The scales of Arinda are next to Ardan.

"Hey, you made me a guinea pig...? Don't try to poison me..."

"No Mr. Ardan, calm down. I'll just add something to make you happy all day long..."

"REally...? Then put your love in my cup..."

"Hahaha.., alright Mr. Ardan..."

Once their coffee and tea is done, they enjoy it together at one of the tables with an umbrella on it. Continuing small talk filled with laughter, until the morning.

Tomorrow they will be separated. And they just want to leave good memories in that place. Memories, which may be repeated later. When the time has come.
