Chapters 94. I Like Women Like You

Gu Sinjie was startled, a bakpao was suddenly thrown at him. When he turned to the origin of the throw, he saw Baili Ruyi standing while leaning against the high wall. The woman's lips smiled mischievously.

"What's with your lethargic look? So ugly!" baili Ruyi asked, her lips smiling towards Gu Sinjie.

Gu Sinjie sighed in annoyance, in the midst of this confusion he instead met Baili Ruyi who only knew to invite him to fight like a man.

Gu Sinjie continued walking towards the big tree of his favorite place while saying, "Whisper."

Baili Ruyi raised her left eyebrow, feeling astonished. What's wrong with that guy? Usually Gu Sinjie would instantly reply to his curse quickly.

Baili Ruyi grew curious, then chose to follow Gu Sinjie. "Is there a problem?" ask Baili Ruyi.

Gu Sinjie did not reply, the man was now engrossed in chewing the bakpao. Baili Ruyi continued to follow the man's footsteps, even as Gu Sinjie leaped up the tree.

Gu Sinjie sighed furiously again, then looked at Baili Ruyi annoyed. "Why do you keep bothering me?"

Baili Ruyi rolled her eyes lazily. "I'm not bothering you! I just want to know why you are! After all, isn't what often bothers you?"

Gu Sinjie sighed again, I don't know how many times this has been. He's already so tired. "Yes, just talk all you want. I'm lazy to argue."

"Are you going down to the battlefield?" baili Ruyi asked, her gaze seemed to have another meaning besides asking.

Gu Sinjie nodded, his eyes still staring in the other direction. "Of course, because I have to be next to Wangye in every battle. That was my oath when I was appointed Great General of the Empire."

"In the previous war did you get hurt?" baili Ruyi asked again, she knew this was not the first war for Gu Sinjie and Xiao Muqing.

"You mean?" baili Ruyi asked, the two corners of her brows were still fused in annoyance. He still thought Gu Sinjie's speech was a boring joke that went by.

Gu Sinjie clasped Baili Ruyi's clenched arm hard, slowly the woman's fist loosened. His condition calmed down again.

"I proposed to the only Miss of Mr. Baili's owner. What else?" gu Sinjie asked, his eyes looking at Baili Ruyi seriously.

Baili Ruyi widened her eyes, then her left hand moved quickly and slapped Baili Ruyi.

"You kidding?!" baili Ruyi asked in annoyance.

Gu Sinjie pouted in annoyance, staring at Baili Ruyi sharply. "You think I'm always kidding, damn it?!"

Baili Ruyi was stunned, her facial features softened. The woman's face immediately blushed again, Gu Sinjie who saw this immediately laughed loudly while rubbing his cheeks that felt spicy.

"You embarrassed?" ask Gu Sinjie.

Baili Ruyi snorted, then threw her gaze away from Gu Sinjie. "No, asshole! Don't look at me!"

Gu Sinjie still continued to laugh, until finally his laughter slowly stopped. The look on his face became soft, as well as his gaze which was now deepening to look at Baili Ruyi. "Ruyi, be my wife. Be the Great General's mistress to me." Now there was no look or joking tone from Gu Sinjie.

Baili Ruyi's heart kept pounding, she looked back at Gu Sinjie. The two of them threw deep glances at each other, Baili Ruyi still had trouble answering. His mouth was muddled, he was really surprised. He had absolutely no idea that Gu Sinjie had actually proposed to him.

"Why did you propose to me? Aren't you the one who said that I don't deserve to be someone's wife and woman? I'm too rude and arbitrary, I can't be feminine" Baili Ruyi said, not giving Gu Sinjie an answer.

Gu Sinjie chuckled, then replied, "If the man you marry isn't me, it certainly won't fit until the apocalypse comes though. Unfortunately, miss ... My type is a brave one like you. It's not just women who know how to scream for help while crying. I love a woman who breaks someone's neck when she's bullied."

Baili Ruyi blushed, she had no idea that the image of her in Gu Sinjie's sight turned out to be that rough.

Gu Sinjie gulped, he was actually worried Baili Ruyi thought this action was strange and disgusting. Because both he and Baili Ruyi used to always insult people who spread intimacy. But Gu Sinjie still displayed his calm look, not showing his concern.

Baili Ruyi smiled faintly, Gu Sinjie currently looks like a joyful puppy while wagging his tail to the right and left quickly.

Baili Ruyi tapped Gu Sinjie's forehead softly, laughing at the look on the man's spirit face. Gu Sinjie did not laugh, the man now only smiled faintly while looking at Baili Ruyi's face. His right hand moved to get rid of the strands of Baili Ruyi's hair that covered part of the woman's face. Then Gu Sinjie stroked Baili Ruyi's cheek and brought her face closer to Baili Ruyi's face.

Their eyes closed together, for the first time, they kissed. This was the first kiss for the two, and this was also the first time there was an atmosphere of peace as well as love around them.
