After finishing the morning prayers, Pearl went to the kitchen to help her mother cook. While Dzen just returned from the mosque with Mr. Bowo. Arriving at home, Dzen invited Mr. Bowo to sit on the terrace, while continuing their conversation.
"Your father has returned home?" ask bu Hindun.
"Already mom. They were sitting on the terrace." replied the Pearl who was sweeping through the living room.
"Looks, your father fits in well with Nak Dzen. From yesterday the conversation continued." said Miss Hindun. The pearl simply responded with a smile.
"Please make coffee first for them yes nduk, just as it is peyek and tempe mendoannya you deliver to the front ya." said bu Hindun who is still busy concocting spices.
"Please" replied Pearl immediately carrying out the duties of her mother.
After finishing making coffee, Mutiarapun immediately brought out, but just going through the door, Pearl heard the conversation of Mr. Bowo and Dzen, who talked about the Dzen family.
"Ehm, sorry son Ahmad, if you may know, indeed the mother of Ahmad's son died why? It hurt?" ask Mr. Bowo.
"My mom died giving birth to my sister sir. Mama was bleeding heavily at the time, and my sister was already poisoned by amniotic fluid, so that day we lost two lives at once" said Dzen sadly.
"Innalillahi wainnailaihi rojiun. Sorry son." said Mr. Bowo.
"It's okay sir." replied Dzen.
Pearls continue their steps towards the terrace to provide coffee and snacks.
"Sorry sir, here's the coffee." Kata Mutiara put a cup of coffee near Pak Bowo and put a plate containing mendoan and jar beri peyek peanut and another coffee near Dzen. Mr. Bowo just nodded as a gesture of thanks.
"Sorry, did Dzen like to drink coffee? If you are not used to it, Tiara can replace it with another drink" said Pearl.
"It's a habit of Ra, at home I'm used to making coffee" said Dzen.
"Oh, yes, I have. Please drink the mas." said Mutiara kindly.
"Thank you Tiara" Dzen said with a smile to Pearl.
"Yes mas. Equally." replied Pearl while carrying a tray on her chest walking into the house. Pearl, who was still curious about her father's conversation with Dzen, walked slowly when she got inside the house.
"Alhamdulillah, feel already have my bini aja... hehehe." Dzen's inner self chuckles with his imagination.
"Drink son" said Mr. Bowo.
"Yes sir." replied Dzen while eyeing the still hot coffee.
"Ehm, sorry. Did Ahmad smoke?" ask Mr. Bowo.
"Alhamdulillah no sir." replied Dzen.
"Well, didn't you, or not just here?" seductive Mr. Bowo who thought that Dzen was condoning.
"From time, I didn't smoke, sir. Mama repeatedly told me that I should not smoke, because it can harm myself and others. Mom was traumatized, because my grandfather, my father, died of lung cancer caused by smoking, so you really don't let me smoke" Dzen said. Behind the wall, there was a girl who was smiling herself, hearing an answer from Dzen, regarding cigarettes. Pearls from childhood do not know cigarettes, because Mr. Bowo has never smoked since family. After that, Mutiarapun immediately went to the kitchen, because ma'am. Hindun called him.
"Ehm, right? I mean, if Ahmad wants to smoke, let's buy pearls. Because there are no cigarettes at home either" said Mr. Bowo.
"Owh, so?" dzen replied understanding the meaning of Mr. Bowo's question.
"Son Ahmad." call Mr. Bowo while looking to the right and to the left.
"Yes sir?" answer Dzen.
"Sorry before, can you ask me something about Ahmad?" ask Mr. Bowo.
"May sir." replied Dzen.
"Father ask, want Ahmad to answer honestly from the heart of Ahmad's deepest" said Mr. Bowo.
"InshaaAllah sir." replied Dzen who began to tense up, his heart dag dig dug.
"Sir Bowo, what do you want to ask?" inner Dzen.
"Don't Ahmad have a girlfriend? Or a wife-to-be? Or even married?" ask Mr. Bowo.
"Oh, thank God, I'm still alone sir. Haven't had a boyfriend, a future wife or even a wife." replied Dzen with a tense smile.
"Thank God" said Mr. Bowo relieved.
Dzen frowned, what did his father mean Pearl asked that?
"Son Ahmad. Please answer honestly. Does Ahmad love his father's daughter, Mutiara Hati?" ask Mr. Bowo in the core of the chat.
"Ehm..." Dzen lowered his head, still hesitating to answer him, he felt afraid to answer, afraid that his father Pearl was angry.
"Not to be afraid, son. You just want to know. Let there be no prejudice" said Mr. Bowo with a peaceful smile.
"Ehm..." Dzen was unable to answer He was only able to nod.
"Alhamdulillah." replied Mr. Bowo who immediately made Dzen's head look up.
"I mean father? You're not angry?" ask Dzen astonished.
Mr. Bowo smiled, and said,
"I am relieved that there is a good man who loves my youngest daughter and dares to tell me. Hopefully, son Ahmad can keep the heart of son Ahmad for the father's daughter" said Mr. Bowo.
"The Pearl of the Heart is my proud child. As Ahmad wanted to see in the living room yesterday, many of his achievements were achieved. Even he was determined to achieve his goals by studying outside the city, away from his parents. Actually it was hard for me to take my daughter out of town alone, my father asked Kenzo to attend college there, so he could keep Pearl. However, the father is also still not calm, because Kenzo attitude is still not mature, if it must be addressed to keep his mother. With the arrival of son Ahmad, I am relieved, there are people who can take care of the Pearl of the Heart" said Mr. Bowo.
"But...Do I deserve this trust from my father?" tanya Dzen hesitated.
"Alhamdulillah, I am sure that Ahmad is a trustworthy person. Please, take care of my daughter." said Mr. Bowo.
"InshaaAllah sir. As best as I can. But.." said Dzen disconnected.
"Why son?" ask Mr. Bowo.
"I beg you not to tell Tiara how I feel, sir" said Dzen.
Mr. Bowo's forehead frowned, astonished.
"Why? Don't you like each other?" ask Mr. Bowo.
"Ehm, since the beginning of meeting, I have never expressed my feelings for Pearl sir. He also doesn't know how I feel about him. So please, don't tell Tiara first sir. Because she's a nice girl, who doesn't want to date before it's halal. While Tiara had a desire for scholars first, just wanted to get married. That means I have to wait for him for about two years. If he knows how I feel about him, he fears me, sir, and I can't take good care of him. However, if she doesn't know how I feel, I look after her, like I'm looking after my own sister, and she thinks I'm her brother" Dzen said.
"Hem, right? But, if Tiara already loves another man, how?" ask Mr. Bowo.
"That's his right sir. Instead, let him be free in his youth, to associate with anyone, without being overwhelmed by a feeling of anticipation." replied Dzen.
"Oh so? Nak Ahmad isn't worried if Tiara falls for another man?" ask Mr. Bowo.
"Ehm, InshaaAllah, if indeed the Pearl of the Heart is my soul mate, InshaaAllah, We will remain united sir. However, if Allah does another, InshaaAllah is best for us" said Dzen mantab.
"MaashaaAllah. Thank you to Ahmad. You put your father's daughter" said Mr. Bowo.
They ended their conversation, then Dzen prepared to take a shower and pack to return to Semarang, and prepare for a medical seminar before he headed to Semarang.
