Twenty Three

Aldi and his wife, Risa were sitting together in the living room. They were waiting for the son to come home. Risa loves Fian her only son. For Risa Fian is proof of love between herself and Aldi.

"Well, Fian's an adult now?" Chirps Risa suddenly.

Aldi who was drinking his coffee immediately looked at his wife asking. "What do you mean, Mah?" Ask Aldi.

"Yes according to Mama, Fian already deserves to build his own family" replied Risa.

Risa really wants to see Fian get married. For Risa, Fian is old enough to build his own family. 27-year-old Fian never once introduced a girl to Risa.

Aldi breathed slowly. Honestly, Aldi still does not understand what Risa's words mean. Fian is old enough to get married but the problem is that Fian never even shows signs that he is close to someone.

"Yes Fian is quite an adult. Who would marry Mah? While the child had never brought a girl to the house" said Aldi.

"What if we were Fian Pah's mate?" Risa's proposal that made Aldi immediately choke on his drink.

"Well, that Fian's not a kid anymore. He can find his own way to shape his future. We as parents are quite supportive" said Aldi did not agree with the proposal from his wife.

"But Pah, the rich Fian was never attracted to any girl. So, we as parents are reasonable to interfere" Risa's argument.

However, Aldi still disagreed with the wife's proposal. Aldi knows very well how the attitude of his son who does not like to be meddled in his affairs by anyone.

"Mama, just ask the same person. Papa follow the same decision Fian later" resigned Aldi who is very difficult to resist the desire of the wife.

"Mama wants to mate Fian the same.." said Risa suddenly stopped.

"Who's the guy?" Fian asked coldly.

Fian had just arrived and immediately interrupted Risa's words. Fian heard that he was going to be betrothed and that was the thing Fian hated the most. Fian did not want to get married for now. Fian only wanted to focus on Lea his little sister who needed him the most at the moment.

Risa flinched with Fian's sudden question. But not how long Risa approached the son and immediately told him to sit together to discuss his wishes. After sitting down with Risa began to launch her action to persuade the son.

"Dear girl, Mama wants to find you a partner. Mama can't wait to see you marry and continue to love grandchildren for Mama and Papa" said Risa softly.

"Fian doesn't want to get married for now" Fian refused coldly. Fian's cold attitude started seven years ago. At that time Risa had Fian choose between Lea or Risa. And at that time Fian also found out about the disease suffered by Lea because it was Fian's focus only on Lea and no longer care about the surrounding.

"Darling, you are now 27 years old. It is worth getting married. What is the reason you don't want that?" Risa asked who was upset because her son was so stubborn.

Fian also looked at his Father and Mother alternately with his flat gaze. Fian knew that the answer would be like a bomb going off that would cause chaos between them.

"Lea" one word that is able to make Risa so emotional.

Risa has not been able to accept Lea as part of her family. A Leah is the fruit of love between her husband and another woman. Which wife can receive the fruit of love from her husband's infidelity.

"She's not a bastard. He's just a proof of the moral depravity of a man who's completely irresponsible" coldly Fian can't accept if there's a dirty word insulting his sister.

"GUARD YOUR LIMITS FIAN!" Jerky Aldi. Aldi could not accept Fian's words that call him an immoral man.

"WHY MR ALDI SANJAYA? IS NOT WHAT I SAY TRUE. ARE YOU IN CHARGE OF MY SISTER?" Asked Fian with a raised voice.

"FIAN ENOUGH" Risa snapped.

"Why?" Asked Fian in a low voice. Whatever Fian was to Risa, Fian had never once raised his voice to Risa.

"Why? You asked why. Want you what? You want Papa to marry that woman and destroy Mama. The child should be grateful that Mama still allows your Papa to finance his life. But he does so badly as to brainwash you into defying your own parents. If you want Mama, you can get rid of her. But because Mama still has pity on him, Mama did not do it at all" said Risa at length.

Risa certainly does not accept the attitude of Fian who is so concerned with Lea compared to his own family. Risa did want to get rid of Lea but because she was still in her sanity she did not do so.

Fian realized something when his own mother said such a depraved thing before him. It turned out that his guess had been true that his family could never accept his sister at all. Unknowingly Fian shed his tears in silence.

Risa and Aldi who saw it was then confused why her son who never cried suddenly cried just because of the words from Risa.

"You guys are the same. Mama knows, what Lea needs most is that Papa's affection is not a treasure that Papa has. Like me, she needs guidance from her parents. I never held Papa responsible for that woman but the one I held accountable for my sister. Now my sister really needs her Papa to take out all the burdens in her heart" said Fian.

Fian looked at his parents with reddened eyes from crying. Fian continued his words to resuscitate the two.

"Mama said Mama wanted to get rid of Lea. Without dirtying Mama's hand, God himself would have taken her away from me. I'm afraid of losing him Mah. He's been a part of my life for the last 10 years. God is angry with Fian mah" continued Fian.

Fian immediately hugged Risa tightly. Fian was now in a state of tremendous fear. Fian sobbed on the mother's shoulder. Fian is afraid of losing Lea, the sister he loves the most. Fian did not know what to do to heal his sister.

Risa and Aldi are confused by Fian's words. What does Fian say if God will take Leah.

"What do you mean?" Ask Aldi slowly.

Aldi was also very worried about his daughter. However, Aldi is still a father who always wants to see his children okay.

"He will not last more than one year to live. My sister will rest for her. I'm gonna lose him" Fian's raving that makes them clueless.

"HE WHY THE FIAN?" Shouted Aldi who did not like Fian who did not want to be frank.

"HE HAS END-STAGE LIVER CANCER!" Fian answered at last. It had been enough for Fian to hide it all this time. He can't take it anymore.

"What?" Oozing someone who just broke into the Sanjaya family home.

Everyone inside turned to look at the entrance to see who was coming. And it turns....
