Chapter 13: Why is The Past Always So Painful?

After school, Rena, Arjuna, Esa, and Levina were eating the food they ordered at the cafe where they used to gather. Levina, who said she would buy it, kept her promise. It's just, Liam can't come because there are other activities.

The sound of incoming messages is heard on HP Arjuna. Arjuna immediately opened it and smiled happily.

"Which other girl is it now?" ask Levina.

"School next door. Find a new flavor."

Arjuna then turned on his motor.

"If so I go home too. Na's! Come on I'm anter!" said Liam.

Rena immediately hugged Liam who was ready with his motorbike.

Rena and Liam then leave and leave Esa and Levina.

Esa moved from her seat and saw Levina who had not yet moved.

"Lo didn't come home?" ask Esa.

"Later."

"Sopir you haven't picked up yet?"

"Gue wasn't picked up."

"OKs. I'm going first, yeah!"

Levina nodded. Esa had already stepped a few steps, but stopped when she heard a voice familiar to her.

Esa sees Alex wearing a different uniform from her school is having a conversation with Levina. Levina who seemed lazy to serve also moved and wanted to leave, but was blocked by the man.

Levina was about to leave but her hand was held back by Alex.

Levina walks past Alex, but it looks like Alex doesn't want to let Levina go. Alex clutches Levina's hand firmly.

"Gue said go home with me! I'm still talking about you, Lev!" said Alex.

Levina tries to release Alex's grip, but can't. The grip was too strong.

Not staying silent, Esa gripped Alex's hand which made Alex look at him no less sharp.

"He said he didn't want to go home, did he?" said Esa.

Alex brushed off Esa's hand which automatically made Levina's hand slip from his grasp.

"Gue has nothing to do with you. Don't interfere!"

"Obviously this is my business. Levina's my best friend. I have a responsibility if Levina to why-not because of the rich jerk lo. You're not satisfied with Levina's illness?"

Alex smiled asymmetrically.

BUGH!

The fist floated on Esa's left cheek.

"Alex!!" yell Levina.

Levina looked at Alex intently where the man was now smiling with disdain towards the man she had just hit.

"Lo what the fuck, anyway?! Don't play hit can?!" furious Levina.

Esa and Alex threw sharp glances at each other. Visitors at the cafe have begun to focus attention on them.

BUGH!

Now, it was Esa's turn to hit back Alex until the man fell down. His punch was hard enough to make the corner of Alex's lips bleed when Alex rubbed the corner of his lips that felt sore with his fingers.

"Once again I see you disturbing Levina, abis lo same me!" said Esa.

"Well! Lo too! We're home!" levina said while pulling Esa Perfi from the place.

Alex stood up and watched the two men riding on a motorcycle leaving the cafe. Alex, who could not resist the emotion, took it out by punching the cafe table and screaming in frustration.

The road they walked was so quiet. No one but them went down that road. Either from the same direction or vice versa. On the way home, Levina and Esa both locked their mouths. Only the sound of the roar of the motorbike engine they were riding was left to fill their hearing until they reached the gate of Levina's palace house. Levina got off the motor and tidied up her messy hair exposed to the wind during the trip.

Esa's worried. Esa's baritone voice broke the silence.

"No papa?"

Levina smiled.

"Lo still likes Alex?"

Levina laughs.

"There is no other question?"

Levina just kept quiet with a small smile. Remembering his past with an ex-lover.

"The first time I knew Alex, when Alex I was heartbroken. He healed my heart until I finally fell in love with him. But.... Alex is lonely, Sa! I was busy preparing for the Math Olympiad. This was one reason why Levina still did not have any more lovers after breaking up from Alex. If Arjuna, who is Levina's pastime, knew this reason, the man might feel very guilty.
