WAIT UP! WHYS?

WAIT UP! WHYS?
Terror Continues

Kaylee panicked to contact Emi. Shortly after Emilee came to the park, Kay was already standing with some people who heard her screams. Then the police officers began to arrive and immediately do the TKP. Kay was still in shock, having difficulty regulating her breathing and tears that were spreading everywhere.

He did not believe what he saw. Blake was lying lifeless with his neck slashed so deeply revealing gaping wounds and blood everywhere, seeping between the grass and the ground. The man's face was already very pale. The wound was inflicted from a really sharp object.

Emilee hugged him and took him some distance away with a policeman standing guard. Some people huddled and whispered suspicious of Kaylee, but Kay didn't care, what was on her mind was who was so willing to do this and why?

The police who finished doing the TKP brought Blake's body away. Kay, Emi, and several witnesses were questioned at the police station. Emi accompanied Kay to explain the chronology of her incident while sobbing and difficulty breathing.

There were no charges against Kay, but witnesses said Kay had just arrived at the park looking for someone. Boss Aaron also said that his employees had just left the store, hp Kay and Blake checked and there was nothing strange except the talk about Danny and Kaylee feeling followed.

There are no fingerprints or anything left behind that may belong to the perpetrator. It doesn't seem like a robbery either because there's nothing missing. Chances are murder is planned. The investigation process is still ongoing.

At 23:00

Kay entered the apartment with a hole and was slightly carried by Emi and Rascal who had been called to pick her up. Rascal offered his condolences for the incident that befell Blake, but received no response from Kaylee. The girl's eyes were empty.

"Eat and drink this!" emi said as she handed him a glass of water and a piece of sandwich.

"We have to move.." Kay muttered indistinctly.

"What Kay?"

"We need to move out soon. It's not safe here." Kay said with her pusar eyes.

"Are you crazy Kay? Calm yourself down and eat it." Emilee went into the room and picked up the blanket.

Rascal just stayed on the sofa next to Kay. He touched Kaylee's back to help calm her down.

"Who would do that?" Kay mutters.

"Are you suspecting someone?" rascal whispered to Kay.

"Yes," said Kay indistinctly "D. nny wi. f. ed."

"Danny? The new occupants of this apartment? He almost lived next door to my room. But it doesn't seem like he did it." Rascal was still whispering.

Kay remained silent until Emi forced her to chew and swallow the sandwich.

"Listen Kay. You may still be in shock, but don't link your quarrel at the store to Blake's gruesome death. And don't leave your stomach empty."

"But what if it's him?" lick Kay.

Emi gives Rascal warm tea, and doesn't care about Kay's words.

"By the way I can't call mom and dad." Kay lowered her head. He was very curious in fact, all the chronology of the events of the day seemed to spin rapidly in his brain.

"I'm not surprised that they suddenly disappeared...." Emi settles down on the floor carpet, closing her eyes. He's also tired, not wanting to argue about anything tonight.

Shortly after the silence the three of them fell asleep in one room. Rascal could not bear to leave Kay and Emi shocked and fragile, which is why he did not immediately return to his apartment.

*****

Early in the morning Rascal woke Kay up to say goodbye, he had to go back to his room. Kay, with her eyes closed, confirmed Rascal's departure, and stood up and led him to the door.

Rascal advised Kay to always carry a cellphone and be in a crowded place. Kay nodded and thanked Rascal, he also apologized for having suspected him. Now that he thought, there was no way Rascal would terrorize him and kill Blake. Rascal was a good man, and so was his mother.

Kay was about to open the door when she realized something was under her feet.... A tear? That paper again?

Rascal who realized where Kay's eyes were headed, immediately lowered his head and picked up the paper, there was writing behind it... Heads.

Kay turned her back and held her breath, she immediately ran to wake Emilee up,

"Emi, wakeup! Emi..." Kay shook Emi's body violently.

"What's Kay?" Emilee yawns lazily.

"We have to go to the police station, now!"

"uh? Why?" Emi sat down while tugging at her muscles

"Terror still continues! There's more paper...."

Emi looked at the paper Kay was showing. He also panicked. Who will be the victim? Is someone in that apartment? Or is it an outsider? It must be someone they know.

They were already preparing to leave when they finally realized outside the storm. It was impossible to leave, the taxis were stopping, and Rascal's old car was bound to crash after 50 meters roared in the middle of the storm. Kay repeatedly tried to call the police but there was no response.

God fucking.

They went downstairs, the apartment where Kaylee lived was not so crowded with tenants, some rooms were still empty. Mr. Halley was not in the guard, nor was the reception section empty.

The three of them looked around, the state of the building was quiet and desolate. Contrast with the storm outside. Suddenly Emilee remembered something,

"Cal... your mother... Is she okay?" ask Emi.

Rascal immediately ran to take the elevator to the fifth floor,

"You wait until Mr. Halley's coming! Don't go anywhere. I'll be right back. "

Kay and Emi lean against the wall near the reception desk. Kay lowered her head, left her gaze blank, her mind drifting asking to remember Blake tragically, not even Kay had time to say goodbye.

Blake's body is still under examination. His heart kept wondering, who? His chest began to throb again. He still could not believe it and suddenly his tears filled.

"Are you okay, Kay?" Emi looks worried about her crying sister.

"Hmmh, yes... How about you?" He quickly wiped his tears.

"Me too,"

"Why don't mom and dad come and don't call ya?"

"Of course, it might be busy with their other children." Emi said.

"You still mad, Em?"

"There's not a nice place to be. I can't lie about that, '" Emilee spoke while recalling the rehabilitation center.

"Sorry Em...." Kay hugged Emi for a moment.

*****

Rascal hasn't come back yet, Kay is starting to worry. Emilee was also visibly agitated by the silence. At times like this, other residents would prefer to pull their blankets closer. It's getting late, but the storm hasn't seen it coming down.

The elevator doors open,

Rascal is back.

"My mom is fine. Halley hasn't been seen?"

Kay and Emi both shook their heads.

"That's weird. Would we rather look for him?"

"Yes.I'm worried about the people in this apartment." said Kay.

The occupants of the first floor were mostly mengeghant upwards. Apartment spacious. And they put up something to muffle the sound from outside or inside. Mr. Halley's the one who lives on that floor. The condition of the first floor apartment can be said to be quite well maintained.

They then walked to the public health room, Cecil was there accompanied by his shift colleagues.

"People...."

"Oh, hello Miss. Mirror... sorry, my head suddenly hurts, is there anything you need?" sapana.

"Where is Mr. Halley?"

"Isn't he in front? I thought you guys came here because he told me." said Cecil.

"He's not in front" Emi said.

"really?" ask Sarah.

Sarah and Cecil explain that the three of them were in front. Even when Sarah took Cecil to Mr.'s medical room. Halley's still in her place. Next they both do not know.

Kay didn't tell me about the message paper, she didn't want to scare people. After all Sarah and Cecil were acting a little strange after Blake's death.

The health room was actually dark, unable to light from the sun, and there were only 2 small vents facing the building next to it. But the room was pretty cool with the AC. The lighting is also quite good, as well as new mattresses that are kept clean.

Although the room is more often empty, but still gives the impression of comfort, at least if someone suddenly does not feel well and is forced to rest here.

Because I can't see Mr. Halley the three of them were about to say goodbye when the lights suddenly turned off,

Zzzr...

Kay tried to calm herself. He clung to the bed and the wall. Dark, no light, stuffy. Being too panicked, Kay did not realize that she was carrying a phone, it should be good enough for emergency lighting.

"Emi's? Cal?"

"I'm near the door, the door is jammed" said Rascal, heard trying to open the rusted sliding door, but the door was fine.

"I was still where I was standing" Emi said.

"There's a candle on the check table. I'll try to pick it up and turn it on" Sarah said as she dragged her feet and hands fumbled against the wall.

*****

Bugh!

Something fell down.

"What's that?" ask them almost simultaneously.

"Stop that...."

Sarah reaches the table, she finds the candle and the match, and immediately lights it. They gathered in the direction of the light, but Cecil was still in his bed.

"Cecil.. Come here." pinta Kay.

Cecil was still silent, then a few seconds later his eyes widened and he began to shout uncontrollably,

"Let's.... Aaaaa...!!!" his voice is so loud.

"Little! What's up?" ask Sarah who is surprised.

"Hey, calm down" said Kay approaching the receptionist.

Then Rascal looked towards Cecil turning his back. Cecil kept shouting again and again,

"Head! Uh! Aaaaay!" he closed his eyes, they all saw something in the dim corner of the room. Something big enough to be in a transparent plastic bag. It was rather round, inundated with a liquid that was red-and-black.

That's. head... Mr. Halley...

They all ran towards the door.

Where'd it come from? Looks like it fell out of a changing wardrobe...or someone dropped it from the ceiling hole?

Sarah immediately vomited, unable to bear to see the blood-soaked head glaring at them.

The door opened, and the light came on. Someone was standing behind that door. Danny's.

"You!" kay shouted spontaneously, "why are you here?!"

"Oh, you live here too? I just found out. I heard someone yelling, I was in front of it." Danny explained in a flat tone.

Cecil and Sarah rush straight at Danny, clutching his arm, asking for protection. Danny looked a bit confused, until he finally realized what made them scared and screamed.

"What the fuck?" danny seemed to be in disbelief.

"We need to call the police!" sweetheart Kay, "and you, we have something to talk about."

Danny was silent, he was holding Sarah for the way forward. Rascal closed the door and hoped that no one would come in to witness the horrifying sight and make the nausea worse. They walked towards the lobby, where the receptionist was.

*****

The storm had stopped at 08:00, Kay tried to call the police again. Eventually the phone is picked up, and the police will arrive in about ten minutes.

Kay tells Danny to move out into the hallway with her, Danny complies without saying much.

"Tell me, did you do all this?" kay asked with trembling lips to hold back the fear and anger.

"You are crazy?! I'm not a killer, okay? I didn't kill anyone. Sorry, I heard about your boyfriend from Rascal."

"...."

"Listen yes.we did have a chat a few days ago, but I'm not a killer." Danny assured, his tone sounded serious and sincere.

Kay noticed Danny, the person in front of her was different from the jerk who was disrespectful to her at that time, the one who held her ass while smiling seductively.

"Are you following me?" guess Kay.

"No.... Hey, I'm sorry about what happened back then, I just got home from the club and my mind wasn't clear, and your boss taught me a lesson."

"really? Then why did you move here?" Kay is still investigating.

"Hmmh, since the rent of this place is so cheap, I just lost my house... Seized by the bank." he said lightly.

"Huh?" Kay scrunched her forehead.

"My personal business, you don't have to pry him any further. Nothing to do with this, unless you want to get to know me better."

Idiotically.

"alright. Let the police act..." Kay walked forward first, whether Danny was honest or not, but his explanation made Kay a little calm.

They came back to the front, not long after the police arrived. The same cop that handled Blake. The policeman looked at everyone in the apartment suspiciously. The forensic team headed straight for the medical room shown by Sarah and Rascal, barricading the door with a bright yellow police line.

Kay and the others were taken to the police station again, checked and questioned, but this time they had to stay in a holding cell. The police had to check one by one carefully, and no one was allowed to leave the office. Because it's likely one of them is a suspect.
