Birthmarks

     Gatot opened the front door of his car, then turned to Teguh who was still standing in front of him.

"You're coming with me." Gatot told Teguh.

Gatot got into his car, he kept the accident case files in the car dashboard.

Then start the car engine, Teguh enter and sit in the front seat next to Gatot who drives the car.

"Where are we going ?" Ask Firmly.

"Tape, I want to check the location of the accident." Said Gatot while driving his car.

Steady, the two of them immediately left the police station building.

   The people who served, present at Linda's funeral, relatives, the Wijaya family was present to deliver Linda to her last bed.

Among them, there is also Maya who follows Linda's funeral process.

Wijaya with a sad face sprinkled flowers on his son's belly button, then doused it with water from a bottle he held.

Maya wiped away the tears flowing down her cheeks. Weeping over Linda's death.

Meanwhile, not far from Linda's burial site, Gavlin peeked out from behind a large tree.

Gavlin looked at those present in the middle of Linda's tomb.

Gavlin's eyes looked out, watching the motions of all those present at the funeral.

One by one the faces of the people standing around Linda's grave she observed.

Gavlin looked at the gestures and sad expressions of each of the people present.

Wijaya's relatives invited Wijaya to leave Linda's tomb.

Vijaya without refusing to follow his kinsmen, they left Linda's grave.

Then, one by one the mourners who were present left Linda's tomb.

When he saw people leaving the tomb, Gavlin's eyes looked at the figure of the Man.

The man was wearing a black hat and sunglasses, dressed all in black, standing in front of his car.

At the top of the hill, not far from the burial site, Gavlin observed the man watching from a distance.

Gavlin thought for a moment, then, he immediately stepped out of his hiding place.

Gavlin was willing to approach the man who was watching from a distance, he wanted to know, who that Man was.

And what's the point is at Linda's burial site while watching.

Gavlin ran quickly towards the man standing far away who was still watching Linda's grave.

Maya lives alone, standing in front of Linda's grave, staring at her best friend's tombstone.

Engraved Linda's name on the tombstone, "Linda Kusumawati ningrum bint Wijaya Kertosuryo-Born, 11 January 1995 - died 20 October 2021".

Maya looks at Linda's grave.

"Thank you for the friendship you've been giving me Lin." Maya.

"Be happy there, I will remember and love you." Maya.

She gently stroked Linda's tombstone, as if she was stroking Linda's hair, her best friend.

Then Maya turns and steps her legs, leaving Linda's grave.

Gavlin runs up the hill-hilly land, Maya who walks out of the cemetery, turning to look for Gavlin.

He knew Gavlin was hiding behind a tree, present at the funeral.

Because when Maya comes to the burial site, she meets Gavlin.

Gavlin refuses Maya's invitation to join her in seeing Linda's funeral.

Gavlin did not want to be near the cemetery, because he did not want to make a fuss if Wijaya, Linda papah saw her presence at the funeral of his son.

Maya's eyes looked in all directions, then her eyes were fixed on Gavlin who was running up the hilly ground.

He also saw the figure of a man standing on a hill, Maya thought, who is being pursued by Gavlin? Maya then immediately ran after Gavlin.

The figure of the man wearing a hat and black glasses looked at Gavlin who was rising closer towards him.

The man quickly ran away and got into his car, Gavlin quickly climbed up to chase after him.

"Heeei !! Don't run, stop !!" Shouted Gavlin furiously.

The figure of a man already running his car, quickly driving the car and then leaving Gavlin who stood upset looking at the car away.

"Siaa...Aaaaggghhh !!" Shouted Gavlin.

Gavlin sheds her frustration at not succeeding in taking down the man who oversaw Linda's funeral.

Maya approaches him with a breathless gasp, setting her breath, she stares at Gavlin's annoyed face.

"Who is Vlin ?!" Maya's question still set her breath panting out of running and climbed the hilly ground around the burial site.

"I don't know, just curious, I saw that guy from earlier looking at Linda's grave, like watching, his attitude made me suspicious." Gavlin.

"Observing ?!" Maya said astonished.

"Yes, I went after her and wanted to arrest her, to know what she meant and what her purpose was to oversee Linda's funeral. But failing that, he ran away." Gavlin.

Gavlin looked extremely angry, his face looking disappointed and annoyed at failing to catch up.

"Who is that guy, what does he want? Does it have anything to do with Linda, with her death?" Maya thought.

"I'm sure it must have something to do with May." Gavlin.

"There are only 2 things, the person knows Linda well enough, wants to see Linda buried, or the person who killed Linda." Gavlin.

"He came to make sure that Linda was really dead and buried." Gavlin looked at Maya's face.

"Yes, too, if Linda was intentionally killed." Maya shuddered in horror.

"Why do you know I'm here?" Ask Gavlin to Maya.

"Now, you want to go home?" Ask Gavlin.

"Yes, take a taxi." Maya said with a smile.

"I'll take you home." Gavlin stared at Maya's face, Maya nods with a smile.

They both set foot, leaving the location.

   Gatot, with his serious face is researching the location of Linda's car accident with a Truck.

He turned to Teguh who was standing near the traffic light pole.

"From the cctv you saw, where was the truck waiting and watching before Linda's car came?" Ask Gatot to Teguh.

"There sir !" Teguh said, pointing to the left of the road.

Gatot immediately stepped his feet quickly towards the path Teguh pointed at.

On the road where the truck was waiting to watch, before Linda's car came, she saw the surroundings.

Gatot's eyes stared at the asphalt, there were traces of large tires from a car on the asphalt.

Gatot then turned his head left and right, his eyes constantly watching the surroundings.

Then, on the side of the road close to the tire tracks he found, Gatot saw cigarette butts lying near the grass and rock fragments.

Gatot immediately stepped out her legs, approaching, she crouched down.

Firmly who saw Gatot squatting and wearing gloves in particular immediately ran over.

Gatot noticed that there were about 8 cigarette butts lying around, he took a small plastic bag specifically storing evidence from his pants bag.

With his gloved fingers on, Gatot picked up a cigarette butt.

Gatot observed it, then put the cigarette butts into a special plastic bag.

After all the cigarette butts were taken and stored in a special plastic bag, Gatot stood up, she turned to Teguh who was standing next to her.

"Investigate, find out whose fingerprints are on this cigarette butt." Gatot.

Gatot handed me the butts of cigarette butts that were in special plastic, Teguh immediately took it from the hands of Gatot.

Then Teguh immediately stored the evidence in his pants pocket.

Gatot then immediately stepped foot, leaving the scene, into his car.

He quickly ran to follow him, then firmly into the car.

The two of them then left the scene of the accident that took its toll, leading to Linda's death.

   In the car, the figure of the man who oversaw Linda's funeral took off the hat he wore on his head.

He put it on the front seat, next to him, he then opened his sunglasses, keeping his sunglasses inside the dashboard of the car.

The man who turned out to be Mike looked smirked satisfied to see Linda was buried.

"I can finally be truly relieved, Linda is already in the grave." Cynic words.

"Could you be Lin, if you want to be my wife, you won't die." He said laughing happily while continuing to drive his car on the highway.

   Meanwhile, Gatot was installing a wireless bluetooth headset in his earpiece, while continuing to drive his car he called Maya.

Firmly sitting quietly in the front seat, next to Gatot who drives a car.

"Where are you ? I want to talk to you, wait for Dad at home, okay?" Gatot spoke on the phone with Maya.

Steady listening, Gatot continues to drive his car, his car drove down a slightly crowded highway.

   The taxi stops by the side of the road in front of Maya's house, in a taxi, Maya and Gavlin sit in the back seat of a taxi car.

When Maya wants to pay the taxi fare, Gavlin has already thrust his hand, giving money to the taxi driver.

He pays the taxi fare, the driver takes the money out of Gavlin's hands.

"Thank you sir." Said Driver. Gavlin nodded smiling at the driver.

Maya then put the money back in the wallet, then kept the wallet in the bag.

Gavlin and Maya get out of the cab, and the taxi leaves, leaving the two of them to step into Maya's courtyard.

Maya and Gavlin enter the house, Gavlin looks at the living room of Maya's house.

"Sit down Vlin, I'll get you some water." Maya.

Gavlin nodded with a smile, Maya immediately went inside her house, Gavlin then sat on a sofa in the living room, quietly waiting for Maya.

   Gatot's car stopped in front of the police station building, she turned to Teguh who was sitting in the front seat, next to her.

"You will quickly notify me once the results have come out and found who the owner of the fingerprints in the cigarette butts earlier." Gatot.

He opened the car door, got out of the car, then stood outside, next to the car.

Gatot immediately left Teguh, who was watching his departure.

Then Teguh turned around, stepped foot quickly, into the police station building.

   Maya comes near Gavlin who is sitting quietly on the sofa waiting for her.

"In Vlin's drink." Maya said while putting a bottle of clear cold water that she took from the refrigerator.

Maya gives a glass filled with water, Gavlin takes the glass from Maya's hand with a smile.

Then he drank the water in the glass until it ran out. Maya sits on the sofa, next to Gavlin's couch.

"I'm still curious about that guy." Gavlin.

"Who is Vlin ?" Said Maya, she came to think of the figure of the man she had also seen when pursued by Gavlin.

"Let's see, I have to find out, my gut feeling is strong, there must be something to do with Linda's death." Gavlin said as he sighed.

Gavlin rubbed his face with both palms, turning to Maya who was sitting next to him.

"Linda told me once, asked me to run, left her papa, went out of the country with all the possessions she had." Gavlin.

"Ohya?!" Maya said, her eyes wide open staring at Gavlin's face, she was a little surprised to hear it.

"Linda also said, I don't have to work, because the money is enough to support both of us." Gavlin.

"Want ?" Ask maya.

"I was offended, angry and upset at him, for underestimating me, for not being able to get a job." Gavlin sighed.

"Keep ?" Maya looked at Gavlin's face.

"I turned it down, I don't want to be accused of using Linda and being a loser who usually just spends Linda's money." His word.

Maya takes a breath hearing that, she looks relieved to know Gavlin rejected Linda's offer.

Deep in her heart, she doesn't want Gavlin to go far away from her, I don't know what Maya feels.

There was always a strange vibration he felt, if he was near Gavlin.

He was unable to pull over and throw away the feeling that was getting stronger and stronger.

It's like there's a long-standing closeness between him and Gavlin, but he doesn't know what it is.

The sound of boiling water rang out from the kitchen, breaking the momentary silence, as Maya and Gavlin were silent for a moment. Maya regained her senses, she quickly stood up.

"But Vlin, I forgot, boil some more water to make you coffee !" Maya said.

He quickly ran into the kitchen, Gavlin looked at Maya's departure with a gawking face.

Maya quickly turns off the stove, lowering the kettles filled with hot water.

He then poured the freshly cooked hot water into a glass that already had coffee grounds and a little sugar in the glass.

Maya makes hot coffee for Gavlin, so Gavlin can stay longer at home.

Maya wants to linger with Gavlin for a long time, she wants to accompany Gavlin who looks depressed and sad because of Linda's death.

Right now, he wanted to be next to Gavlin, not wanting Gavlin to quickly walk away from him.

Gatot went into his house, he was surprised to see Gavlin in the living room of his house sitting.

Gavlin who was also shocked immediately stood up as soon as he saw the arrival of Gatot.

"You? Has it been a long time?!" Gatot asked with a fixed look on Gavlin's face.

"An hour ago Om." Gavlin smiled at Gatot.

"Where is it ?" Ask Gatot.

"What the hell Well, I want." Maya said that she approached Gatot and Gavlin while holding a glass of hot coffee in her hand.

"Kok only made one, which coffee is Dad?" Gatot asked Maya.

"Diiih.meneketehe Daddy came home, ntar I made. It's for Gavlin." Maya stands near Gavlin and Gatot.

Gatot smiled, she was about to step up, along with Maya who was about to put a coffee cup onto the table.

Gatot nudged Maya's hand, because she didn't know she was going to put a coffee cup on the table.

The coffee spilled and hit Gavlin's shirt until it was wet and dirty because of the coffee powder attached to the lock.

Maya was shocked, Gatot was dumbstruck, Gavlin was also a little shocked because he was hit by a coffee spill.

"Dad.got look, so spill over." Maya says she was upset with her father who nudged her, spilling her freshly made coffee for Gavlin.

"Dad don't know, sorry." Gatot.

"Sorry, Vlin, are you okay? No one's hurt, right, your hands don't get hot coffee, right?" Maya asks worried for Gavlin.

"What's the matter May." Gavlin smiled.

Gatot looked at the face of his son who looked very worried about Gavlin who was spilled coffee.

He knew his son liked Gavlin, Gatot left them both, went into his room.

Maya tries to clean up Gavlin's dirty clothes exposed to spilled hot coffee grounds.

"Open your clothes, Vlin, let me wash and dry for a while with the washing machine." Maya.

"It's okay, May." Gavlin smiled.

Gatot approached them, she approached Gavlin, standing beside him.

"Pake this shirt." Said Gatot giving his shirt, which he deliberately took from inside his room.

"Thank you Om." Gavlin smiled.

He then took the shirt from Gatot's hand, put the shirt on the back of the sofa.

Gavlin then undressed, Gatot looking at his face, Maya turned to go to the kitchen with a glass filled with spilled coffee.

Maya wants to make a new coffee for Gavlin, as well as his father.

Gavlin had already taken off his shirt that was smudged by a coffee spill.

He put his shirt on the couch, picked up the shirt lying on the couch.

When Gavlin put on his shirt, accidentally, Gatot who from earlier eyes looked, watching, observing the figure of Gavlin gasped.

His eyes widened, wide open when he saw there was a tompel, a birthmark on the arm of Gavlin's right hand.

Gatot was silent, she thought, then looked at Gavlin's face firmly.

Gavlin did not know that he was being watched by Gatot.

In his heart Gathoth said, "The sign of birth? It's the same shape, is he Yanto?" His bathin.

Gatot spoke in his heart about Gavlin. Instantly Gatot felt there was something strange about the figure of Gavlin.

The same birthmark as Yanto's, the little boy he used to help and brought to the orphanage, was on Gavlin's right arm.

Gatot kept looking at Gavlin's face, she was stunned.

Maya moves her legs closer to Gatot and Gavlin.

Maya is astonished to see her father looking at Gavlin's face without blinking. 

"Well, why is Gavlin so serious?!" Tegur Maya, make Gatot shocked and realized from his daydream.

"Ah, no, it's okay." Said Gatot pura acting ordinary, like nothing happened.

Gavlin, who was wearing a T-shirt in his body and then sat on the sofa, Gatot sat on the sofa in front of Gavlin.

Every now and then he glanced at Gavlin's face, there was a curiosity in Gatot, he wanted to know, who was Gavlin really?

Maya puts two cups of coffee on the table, picks up a dirty Gavlin shirt over the coffee spill, takes it back, washes it in the washing machine.

"Where are your parents ?" Tanya Gatot opened the conversation on Gavlin, breaking the silent atmosphere as they kept quiet with each other.

"My parents are in Holland Om." Gavlin smiled.

"Why don't you stay with them?" Ask Gatot.

"No, I'm more comfortable living in Indonesia, they're not my biological parents." Gavlin smilingly told me about himself.

"You're adopted?" Ask Gatot.

"Yes Om." Gavlin smiled.

"Gavlin is like me Well, adopted son, I was adopted by my dear father." Maya was washing Gavlin's clothes.

Maya then sits on the sofa beside Gavlin, she smiles spoiled at Gatot who smiles at her.

"With Vlin's coffee, Dad." Maya offers the coffee she makes,

Gavlin nodded with a smile, Gatot just silently did not answer Maya's words.

Gatot then turned to Gavlin, silent for a moment, and he took a breath.

Gatot stared fixedly at the face of Gavlin who was wrong because he knew Gatot was looking at him.

"You got a tompel?" Gatot looked at Gavlin.

Gavlin was shocked, he then held the right arm of his hand.

"Yes Om." Gavlin nodded.

"That's your birthmark or a tattoo?" Ask Gatot again. Maya wonders, her father asks Gavlin for his birthmark.

"This is my birthmark Om, since I was born, I've had this birthmark." Gavlin pointed at the birthmark on the right arm of his hand.

Maya sees the right arm of Gavlin's hand, she who is sitting next to Gavlin lifting the Gavlin shirt on the arm.

Curious to know, Maya sees a birthmarked tompel on Gavlin's arm.

"Kok Dad just got Gavlin's birthmark, why Dad?!" Maya asked in wonder looking at her father's face which took her breath away.

"No, the tompel clay when he was wearing the shirt earlier, suddenly I remember the little boy I used to help. The boy has the same birthmark." Gatot.

Gatot stared fixedly at Gavlin's face, Maya was silent, Gavlin was stunned.

Gavlin tried to be calm, so that Gatot did not know that he was shocked when Gatot said that.

Gavlin silently thinks, is Gatot, Maya's father who used to help her and her sister?

Who took him to the hospital, then sent him to the orphanage?

If true, that means, Maya was really her little friend.

Because she knew, Maya was saved by a cop. Gavlin was silent, Maya was silent as well.

Gatot kept looking at Gavlin's face, from the look of Gatot's eyes, that she wanted to know more about Gavlin.
