The Warm Night in Kanagawa

I walked over to Ava who was waiting for a taxi in front of Kanagawa Police. I was waiting for him on purpose.

"Hi!" my broom when it's near him.

"Shin ..." He looked at me a little surprised. "Thank you for solving this case. Ren is like my brother."

"No problem. You want to go home?"

"Yes." Yeah."

"Can I bring you?" I said while glancing at him.

"No, Shin. I can do it myself." Ava walked a few steps and passed me.

"When are you going to be like this?" I took her hand and held her. "Why are you always avoiding me? Even just decided on me."

For a moment the mood became quiet. The atmosphere was not as warm as it was then. It is frozen and like ice. Only the moonlight shines brightly above the sky and the flashing neon lights that accompany us today.

Every now and then a cold night wind begins to sweep over our bodies.

"I just want to be alone first, Shin." she said softly without looking at me.

"You lied! Look at me and tell me the truth!" I clutched Ava's arms. And he started looking up at me. His eyes were already glazed over like he was holding back a cry.

"Say, Ava!" I said slowly.

He was even sobbing without saying a word. I grabbed her slowly and hugged her.

"Cry if it makes you relieved .." I said quietly. I held her deeper into my arms. Until her cries began to subside, she began to take off her embrace.

"Let's take you home!" I said slowly and then grabbed her hand to get her to pick up my bike.

But suddenly Ava held my hand. And I stopped and turned to look at him.

"Shin .." he said slowly.

"Yes ..."

"That night ..."

I looked at him carefully and prepared to listen to him.

"That night I saw you with a girl entering an inn." Ava looked down and held back her tears. "And I hear from people she's a model. And, you guys used to have a bond."

Ava slowly took off my hand and turned around to back me.

"I'm self-conscious, Shin. I'm nothing compared to him." Ava quickly wiped her tears.

"May you and him be happy. I'm saying goodbye." Ava started to move her legs away from me. I quickly turned around and grabbed his hand back and pulled it back into my arms.

Now I hold her very tightly.

"I'll keep all the memories with you, Shin. Thanks for everything. I've been so happy all this time." Ava back sobbing. And I didn't let go and loosen my arms.

"Thank you for being the sun and the rainbow for me all these years. Thank you for making me happy for just a moment. I'll never forget all that." Ava's still sobbing in my arms. He held my arm slowly.

"Can't we stay together, Ava? Because all I want is you." I said slowly.

"What do you mean, Shin?" now Ava looked up at me.

"It's true Norie came to Kanagawa. And we went to the inn together." I said slowly.

"So he's the one named Norie? You still remember him when he was with me. It was raining and you were with me. But you did mention his name. At that moment I was just getting nervous. Especially now that I saw it for myself you were with him at an inn. Enough, Shin! Let me back off. He's come a long way looking for you." slowly Ava took off my arms.

"God!" I said half screaming. I don't know what else to say.

"Can't you just trust me this time? That Norie and I are really over. That night I went to the inn with Norie. But that night absolutely nothing happened. He wished he could come back to me again. But I can't, Va .." I said quietly and I looked into his eyes deeply.

"Because now you're all I want!" I was still staring at the pair of clear eyes that were now glazed over. It's so beautiful and I've missed it so much.

Ava back sobbing. And I immediately grabbed and hugged her back.

"I'm sorry yes. I always make you sad and even cry. I should've taken care of your feelings more." I stroked her hair slowly. She smelled her hair so much I missed it.

Ava simply nodded in her sobs. I slowly dyed her hair. "I miss you so much, Ava." I whispered to her.

"Look!" Aso thrust her phone at me.
