chapter 2 Dragon

In fairy tales dragons are described as absolute beings who are very strong even until now there is no story that tells about their defeat but for reasons unknown they are extinct since ancient times, but there is no story that tells about their defeat, whether they were annihilated by the gods because of their pride or they fought each other until they were destroyed, no one knows.

And what was in front of me right now was one of those creatures, or rather what was left of it.

A gigantic dragon-shaped skeleton bound together by countless thick black chains that were quite large. He looked like he was being sealed by someone or something but there was something strange with him even though there was only a skeleton left, there was a large enough red crystal-like object right on his chest.

What it is is the heart or core of this creature, as many other fantasy creatures have. But what surprised me the most was that he spoke to me.

"I've been waiting for you for a long time for a human child"

How long has it been since I've been sealed here for hundreds or thousands of years. Even now my body has only stayed bone even though I tried to recover it with my remaining strength but it didn't work, this black chain that can neutralize my power so that whatever form of effort I use to be free ends up in vain.

I was already very desperate with my circumstances, using the last strength I had I moved my consciousness right to my (core) core. Even so the time I have continues to decrease every second that time passes can only be quietly waiting to die.

If only I had a container to hold my consciousness that way I would be free from here. But who would come to a place like this? It's good that if this man has strong strength I won't be able to seize his body with my current state, because he's weak it will be easy for me to do so, what a perfect opportunity.

I was very surprised to hear a voice that seemed to be directed at me but there was no living creature here but me. Could it be the skeleton that is in front of me right now.

The core he was referring to was probably a red-colored crystal.

Answering my questions he started telling me why he was here, a fairy tale from a dragon seemed to be quite exciting.

It all started about 2000 years ago when I was just relaxing in my lair but suddenly appeared someone who was wearing a full-length jet-black armor to cover his entire body. At first I thought he was one of those foolish and weak humans who tried to challenge myself to pursue fame. But my guess was wrong, that jet-black-passioned figure turned out to be extremely strong, he was able to fight equally with me.

We exchanged attacks after attacks ranging from physical attack magic to mental attacks. It's just that the two of us are very formidable even with all those deadly attacks.

The fight that lasted for ten days and ten nights it caused broken damage to the surrounding area without anyone being able to determine the winner.

After a long fight both sides suffered quite severe injuries but neither side showed any sign of falling down.

In the middle of the fight I tried to communicate with him.

" you, what reason do you have until you fight with me? "

But my question was simply ignored even so I did not give up on getting information from him.

"Hey, can't you talk or anything"

He still won't talk to me.

"You've been quiet since, are you afraid of me? "

I tried to provoke him a little but no matter what I did he remained silent like a statue. Maybe he couldn't speak from the beginning. Just as I was thinking about all the possibilities of who he really was, without the cue he quickly attacked me and the attack was successful and both my wings were cut off.

I made a big mistake, I should have focused on the fight instead of thinking about the uncertain.

With that he was prepared to launch the final attack, but he had not had time to do it he also made a fatal mistake because he felt he had won from me he was caught off guard. Creating an opportunity for me to strike back.

I risked everything for this attack and with a little bit of my energy left I used it all for my dragon breath which was also my strongest attack.

The result was commensurate, the attack successfully hit him severely causing him to suffer severe damage. He fell to the ground but he still had the strength to stand up and his sturdy jet-black armor began to disintegrate, slowly revealing the figure behind it.

I had guessed that from the beginning he was not human, because humans could not possibly be this strong and my guess was correct.

The figure behind the armor had a posture similar to a human but the appearance he had was very strange, the color of his skin was as black as the color of his armor. His head had a horn on his side and eyes were completely white. After I thought about what I thought was that the armour seemed to be part of its own collapse, it looked like it was sticking together like a piece of flesh and bone.

I was very confused and curious how not in the thousands of years I lived I had never seen a creature like him.

Although the creature was dying and dying, suddenly he made a strange gesture and shouted words that I did not understand like he was offering himself to something I knew, then a black chain appeared and bound and sealed me. It seems like the last attempt he made was to seal me because he had lost to me. The last thing I saw from him was that he turned into ashes and disappeared into the air.

"That's why I ended up here"

And with that, he finished telling the story.

"Oh yes my name is Artemis one of the dragon race which is the strongest race and what is your name son of man"

He said it with a majestic sounding dragon moreover he also highlighted the word 'strongest'

in his sentence, well even though it actually matched the dragon race.

"My name is ni-" No because now that I'm in this child's body I should also use his name.

"I mean, my name is leo"

This is the name that Leo's mother gave him she hoped that as Leo grew up he would become a brave man. Although Leo actually had a surname that he got from his father but I can clearly feel that this body hates that name because it only brings pain to him.

"Yes leo? Good name, at least I'll use that name as a sign of my gratitude"

Those words made me feel bad.

"What are you talking about? No, what do you mean?"

"As I said, I'll take over your body"

Right after he said that my body could not be moved at all as if my body was being controlled by something invisible.

"What are you doing to my body?! "

I screamed at him while trying to rid myself of anything.

"Hmmm, seeing from your reaction it seems like you never saw magic power huh? Well, whatever it is doesn't matter anymore because you're gonna be over soon"

There really is magic power in this world. Although I actually wanted to shout out in excitement about it, but my current state does not allow for it.

The red crystal that spoke to me from earlier approached slowly and prepared to do something. Whatever he's going to do doesn't seem like a good thing to me, he said he's going to take over my body, if he succeeds isn't I going to disappear? Knowing this I was gripped by extreme panic knowing that soon I would die making cold sweat flow down my body.

"This is it, let's start"

It seemed like her preparations were done and the next second my entire body was engulfed by an immense pain. I wanted to scream as loud as possible but my body did not respond at all.

When all this pain I feel like time is going very slowly, how long it's going to be over, I want it all to be over soon, this pain is killing me. But what I can do, right now I'm just a helpless victim and can only give up the situation. Slowly my consciousness disappeared swallowed by the darkness. This is what I finally thought, even though I had a second chance to live my life as I wanted.

Her body that had rebelled against me with all its might even though I had tied it with magic had already reached its limit. This human boy named Leo is quite persistent.

"Don't blame me Leo, I myself am forced to do this for my freedom, don't worry I will make sure to use this body as best I can"

Although he said his words pitched regret but in his heart there was not the slightest bit of guilt let alone regret, instead he felt very happy because he would be free from these shackles soon.

Shortly after the body takeover ritual he did was finished, but what awaited him was not what he expected.

He should have been free and running out in this world but what he did not expect was that Leo's body had already been taken before and the body retrieval magic ritual could not be used on the body that had changed the owner.

"What really happened!? Didn't I make it but why am I stuck here"

He didn't want to believe what he was going through, but this is the truth. And that's how he got stuck in that empty space and slowly disappeared without knowing what was really going on.

Artemis' life essence fused with Leo's body and gave him a power he had never imagined before. A misfortune for Artemis but a blessing for Leo.

Because Artemis who became the object of sealing the tongue no longer exists then the seal will disappear and the place where the leo is made of magic also disappeared without a trace.

My head was very dizzy and when I opened my eyes I was not in the same place as before, I was lying in the middle of the forest.

Why did I end up here, wasn't the last time I was in that place and that damn thing that tried to take over my body. There were so many questions that came to my mind but there was no point in asking because no one would answer them. It would be a nightmare for me if I asked and the one who answered was that damn creature.

Leo tried to hold back his curiosity about what had happened just now and how he had survived Artemis because what was most important to him now was to get out of this place.....
