What information did he receive wrong?Apollonia thought Safiro's brainwashed subordinates would be very loyal to Safiro. But the boy in front of her clearly hated her.
“I kind of failed product” Uriel realized the confusion of Apollonia then explained.
“I endured the torment of Safiro so well that I was on the verge of death. I was considered unsuitable to be his dog.” Uriel's voice sounded calm.
“Then one of his right hands dies. and no one else can replace.”.
Apollonia nodded slowly. Of course Uriel's explanation is not the whole story. Perhaps that was the reason Safiro bred him like a dog because of his extraordinary talent.
The one who can break the barrier with just two tries.
He and Sid had never seen anyone like this. The late King and his father may have been more genius than him but his father who had previously had no equal opponents throughout the kingdom in martial arts probably now had.
As Uriel received the news of his Master's death calmly, Apollonia turned to another topic.
“Because the person you serve is dead, to whom will you give your allegiance ?Leifer?” Apollonia asked frankly. Hearing that question Uriel raised the corner of her lips slightly. Uriel acted as if Apollonia had just asked a naive question.
“You yourself know you will die if you return to Leifer, in the most horrible way you can imagine. But, I can offer you another option.”
Before Uriel could answer Apollonia continued.
“Because Safiro is dead, no one can recognize you in the kingdom. I can give you a new identity.”
Uriel sneering.
“Your name and past don't matter to me. From now on live only for me.”Sounds like a simple request, but there is no other way. There was no trace of loyalty between the two, and Apollonia was not hypocritical enough to threaten her life to accept her request with freedom as security.
Apollonia needs this child. But if Uriel refuses his offer he will not hesitate to kill her.
Uriel slowly got up from her bed and stepped towards Apollonia.
“Si-”
“What you do.”
Apollonia tried to speak, but Uriel only smiled mockingly while tilting her head. Slowly Uriel stretched her right hand and touched the transparent barrier between them. Had there been no barrier between them, people would have misunderstood and thought Uriel would have kissed Apollonia.
Their distance is too close. Apollonia did not retreat. He did not want to show any weakness. As they drew closer to the sound of each other's breath Uriel opened her mouth.
“It turns out I even look handsome in your eyes.”
Apollonia did not expect Uriel's quiet speech. The words did not fit into this situation at all. But when Apollonia heard him there was no other choice but to look at his perfect face.
He is handsome. A mocking smile, reddish lips, and his sea-blue eyes. But from the lightning full of scorn in his eyes was clear Uriel trying to influence him.
“Do not be impudent.”
“You asked me to be your man.”
“not like that I mean.”
The ridiculed smile widened and his warm breath struck Apollonia's eyes.
“I will not be kind to anyone who does not take me seriously.”Apollonia pushed closer the barrier between them. Uriel looked surprised not to think Apollonia would fight him.
“You asked me to kill you right?If that's what you want tell me. In the end you only have two choices. You can accept me as your Master and live or die here without seeing the light again. Of course I don't expect you to pledge your loyalty to me like Safiro.”The sound of Apollonia sounded cold. Uriel's smile disappeared as if she hated the word Master.
“You were wrong in two ways.” Uriel spat between her tightly gritted teeth. Slowly he raised his left hand.
“First, the delusion that you can kill me easily.”When Uriel finished talking her hands began to emit a strange silvery ray. When his hand touched the barrier that was restricting them, the barrier began to tremble violently.A gap appeared in the barrier.
