Chapter 12's
Hearing Petra Gaius' reply waved his hands in satisfaction. Petra left the library without saying another word. As he walked towards his carriage that was already waiting in front of the palace gate, Petra raised next to his eyebrows. There was a trace of a thin smile on his lips. But that smile was not because he was relieved of Apollonia.
“I have to find Safiro”
Before entering his chariot he whispered to his accomplices.
“There's someone you have to take care of”
But wouldn't it be better for Petra to take care of it herself?
Apollonia sat on the edge of her mattress hugging her lutu. His mind was full of so many things he was thinking.
Queen Catherine Loenheim will leave the palace tomorrow. It was actually impossible for Petra to just silence Catherine. Catherine's advantage was only her greedy nature. He had neither the strength nor the background to stay afloat, so in fact he had already lost this fight long before he realized who his opponent was. But now is not the time to worry about others.
Apollonia remembers what happened 7 years ago when she was 10.
“Mother, I want to ride that horse”
Gareth, Petra's first son, points to Apollonia's horse. Gareth wanted Apollonia's pony which had a snow-white mane covering his entire body. Apollonia has owned the horse since she learned how to ride. Apollonia did not allow it because the horse did not want to take anyone other than Apollonia.
Petra squeezed Apollonia's shoulders and smiled with the same smile she showed at the funeral. Perhaps she looked like a good aunt who wanted to take care of the motherless princess before her, but the force of Petra's handcuffs on Apollonia's shoulders was so hard that Apollonia's shoulders felt like they were about to break.
“It's okay if you don't want to give it to Nia.But one of your servants will be Gareth's servant in place of that horse. The waiter will be ‘kesulat’ because you”
In a cold tone Petra stared intently at Apollonia.
“Gareth's words are very disrespectful to His Majesty. Please forgive Gareth, Princess. How can you give something so precious to you? It would be a pity if your dearest friend got hurt at Gareth's hands, wouldn't it?”
Apollonia knew Petra was talking about one of her servants instead of her horse. So Apollonia rubbed her pony affectionately for the last time and gave Gareth control of the horse.
The pony, which had not received its full new owner, was found dead two days later eaten by a wild animal. One of his legs was broken.
The king looked at Kenneth then asked Apollonia
“You want to learn it?”
When Apollonia nodded at Petra who was next to her, she was worried.
“I worry what will happen if we teach such a dangerous thing to the princess. What if he makes a careless mistake or..”.
Petra smiled coldly at Apollonia.
“It's a pity if our precious Princess gets hurt”
King laughed for a while then said slowly “Let's think again”
10 Days later they sent Kenneth to the outskirts of the kingdom on the grounds that they were exterminating the monter. He quickly lost half his soldiers in the war against them. Then he left the kingdom after him with a heavy wound in his hand.
Apollonia was 14 years old when Petra slapped her for the first and last time. Paris and Gareth destroy Ellenia's books, so Apollonia banishes them from the palace.

The head of Apollonia twists to the side. Her tears were full of pain and shame. But the only thing that hurt him was that he couldn't do anything. In his large room Petra clearly gave him a threat.
“Do not flashy”
Gaius saw his daughter's crooked cheeks later that night, but he said nothing.
“Never save something valuable for yourself”
