The night wind blew quickly carrying some of the dust and leaves flying together down the sky. Devi tried to open the car door, coinciding with the father who came out of the house, looking at them with a stern look. Devi did not care about it, she chose to quietly lower her head better.
"Sir Jaka, how are you?" tanya Father tried to approach Raka and Robin. Of course, Devi quickly avoided giving way to Mr. so that he could approach Raka smoothly without getting stuck.
Devi turned her head to see Raka's reaction when Father still called her Jaka. It seemed like the man was very clever at role-playing, to the extent that his disinterest in the name was not so visible from the look on his face. With a forced Raka received the post of Father who was full of enthusiasm.
"Devi get me a drink." Ask Father.
"A! No, sir, I'll just go home." Reject Raka.
Devi would still serve them drinks and snacks, because she knew you would never let her guests go before we gave her a meal. Devi's steps came to a halt, as she saw the figure of a man standing blocking the door.
"You? Haven't come home?" ask Devi to the man.
"Dude!" Call Father.
Bagas looked towards the Father, when his name was called. "Yes Pa?"
"Come here, there's a friend Devi wants you to meet."
Devi's breathing felt heavy, she tried to turn her head to watch the two cold men meet. Devi can see the look on Raka's face that looks unhappy with this introduction, but she still tries to smile and accept Bagas' hand position which she considers a competition.
"Come, let's have a little chat." Invite Father.
Raka shook his head, a sign of refusing the invitation of the Father. "Sorry sir, it's late, I still have work to finish" explained Raka trying to escape politely.
"Tomorrow Sunday, you can finish tomorrow." Father tried to embrace Raka familiarly.
Devi who saw that felt sorry for Raka.
"Devi, why is it still there? Quickly get me a drink and a snack." Pekuruh Bapak's.
"Yes, Sir?" Devi ran into the house.
Mami, who was busy preparing the merchandise for tomorrow, turned to see her arrival giving a smile filled with question marks.
"You're home yet?" mami asked, trying to give Devi a smile. But it seems Devi is still angry with her parents who betrothed without her knowledge.
Mami tried to approach Devi who was preparing coffee and snacks.
"Is there a guest?" ask Mami.
"Yes, my office friend." replied Devi, although Devi was upset with her parents she had no obligation to fight them, the child was still a child, had to be humble even though she was upset.
"Who?" ask Mami curious.
"Raka." Devi replied briefly, trying to lift up the tray and its contents.
"Let Mama help." My mom offered herself. Devi got rid of the name. "No, Mam take care of the trade for tomorrow." Reject Devi, stepping leaving Mami towards the door.
Once there, Devi tries to serve coffee to Mr. Bagas and Robin.
"Who? Devi, where's the coffee for Jaka?" ask Father.
Devi also gave a special glass to Raka which turned out to be hot tea. "Unfortunately there's only black coffee in the kitchen, I know you don't like black coffee, do you?" devi asked Raka.
Raka smiled. "Thank you."
After completing his task, Devi went back inside.
"How's your job?" ask me to start the conversation.
"Alhamdulillah, smoothly." replied Raka.
From a distance Robin sees his young boss with them, enjoying black coffee and some snacks he takes from the plate as Devi takes him, Father is so sensitive. Robin grinned. "Interesting" he said.
Back to the Father who is still curious about the work of the man in front of him at this time.
"I'm just a PNS" said Bagas in a low but definite tone.
Hearing that Raka chuckled amusedly inside, she tried to refrain from laughing.
"Well, that means your salary is huge?" asked Raka pretending to be curious, even though she actually already knew how much.
You see the prospective son-in-law, hoping not to embarrass him.
"Depends group. Thank God I entered group 4, maybe more can be 10 million a month" explained Bagas.
Raka just nodded in understanding.
"So son Jaka, what about you?" ask Father.
Raka turned to look at the Father gently, he smiled trying to remember when the old man gave him support when he found out how he felt about his daughter. But now, the old man in front of him seemed to no longer side with him.
"I don't get a salary" answered Raka confidently.
"How come? What do you do?" ask Father.
"If you want I can take you to work in my office." Tawar Bagas cares.
Raka shakes. "no need. I'm not on the payroll, because I'm CEO of the company where Devi works." Raka's smile was clearly plastered on her lips.
The words he uttered just now made Mr and Bagas speechless to see him. Carefully Raka tried to get down from the bamboo booth, intending to leave the place.
"I'm sorry to go home. Assalamualaikum."
"Waalaikumsalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh." reply Mr and Bagas who are still shocked to hear that.
...~*~...
"What's going on?" asked Robin who was still curious about what had happened just now.
"They tried to play around with me." answered Raka, looking out the window, enjoying the night breeze, slowly the brown-eyed man closed his eyes. Trying to remember his childhood with his mother, but Raka quickly opened her eyes again, then she did not want to see.
...~*~...
Devi tried to finish all the documents that other employees gave her, carefully checking them one by one.
Geck! Geck!
Devi looked back at the door of her room. "Come in, the door's unlocked." Return to work focus.
"Devi." Call Bagas.
Devi turned her head, she saw that Bagas was already standing at the door waiting for approval to enter her room.
"Go I'm busy." Get rid of Devi is uncomfortable with Bagas' presence.
But still, the man still entered the room approaching Devi who was busy checking the documents.
Bagas pulled up a small chair and sat behind Devi. "Do you want to help me?" Fresh Bagas.
"No, no, I can finish it myself. Why don't you go home?" ask Devi.
"I'm staying here." replied Bagas, who was busy holding Devi's workbench decoration doll.
Devi turned to look at Bagas with a look of disbelief at the thought of his parents, indeed for him Bagas was like his own brother.
"I won't marry you" said Devi, coming out of her mouth.
Hearing that Bagas giggled amusedly forcing himself to laugh, looking down disappointed at what he heard.
"But I want to and you can't refuse that. Because your parents and my mother set it up anyway." Bagas explained, before he exited Devi's room.
