Trapping the Mate
MJ - Don't Want to Have Friends

In the car the atmosphere was really awkward. Galendra was driving, Giselle was sitting next to him. While Cleopatra was sensitive enough if the man who claimed to be the Pediatrician was trying to get close to his cousin's sister so he decided to sit behind, although Giselle had shown a protest look despite not making a sound.

"There's actually no need to drop off Doc. We can take a taxi." Again the topic was raised by Cleopatra to melt the atmosphere because it had been five minutes the car drove, but between them no one opened the sound.

Galendra smile. "It's okay. Just relax, we're not in the hospital."

Chat was really just between Cleopatra and Galendra. Giselle was more silent, she would say if Galendra or Cleopatra threw questions at her.

A one-story house with a chest-high fence, not at all luxurious. Galendra could judge that Giselle came from a simple family.

Cleopatra opened her fence and allowed Galendra to enter. Giselle is ready to make coffee.

"Sorry Doc, but let me ask you a few things." Cleopatra opened her voice after they sat on the porch chair.

Galendra. "Liet down, Ma'am. Don't use Doc to call him. Gale just."

Cleopatra smiled awkwardly. How can I call a new person's name like that.

"This doctor. um. I mean ... how do you.." Cleopatra tried hard but didn't find the right sentence for her question.

"Why am I deketin Giselle?" Galendra deliberately used casual language so that Cleo was not too formal to talk to him.

Cleo nodded quickly. "Did you know each other before?"

Galendra. "We first met a few days ago in the hospital. Wouldn't it be okay if me and Giselle were friends? I have no evil intentions."

Did ya? Not intending to be evil? Approaching him, planning to keep the girl in his sight so that Giselle and Dion would not have a chance to get any closer, was that not malicious intent?

What if six years pass and Kalina survives, will she suddenly break up with Giselle? He calls it just friendship.

Ah I don't know. Think about it later.

"It's okay anyway, I'm actually seneng because Giselle here doesn't have a temen." Cleopatra glaring. "It's not just a question, we don't have a family here. It's just the two of you."

Galendra could hear a long sigh at the end of Cleopatra's sentence. He caught unusual conditions in their family. Don't forget Giselle's hospital admission. Attempted suicide.

But Galendra had no intention of asking now despite being very curious.

"Yes, be friends with me." Again Galendra displays a row of white teeth. "My age is twenty-eight, if we're the same age, we can call each other names."

Cleopatra smile. "I am also twenty-eight. Giselle twenty."

The first information Galendra got about Giselle. He was twenty years old. Six more years, meaning the girl is twenty-six. Still very young, to decide to be the second wife of a married man.

Giselle came out with a cup of hot coffee and placed it on the table that was on Galendra's side.

The girl did not smile. Only a pale and sad face could be seen there. And again Galendra was reminded of the cause of the girl entering the hospital the other day. So don't be surprised! so his inner word. There are people who are fine and have no problems but are trying to kill themselves.

"Gi, accompany Doctor Gale for a moment. Brother get in and out of things." Cleo. He picked up two large bags that he had just placed on the floor of their porch.

Galendra. This girl is really a teenager. Can't be pleasant to honor guests.

"Where's college?" Galendra knows, this girl is a student from the patient data at the hospital.

"Unmer." she answered briefly.

A fairly well-known university, though not the best among the many campuses in the city. The city of Malang-East Java, which is famous as one of the education cities in Indonesia.

"What semester is it?" Because Giselle only answered one word, Galendra had to be smart to look for other questions again.

"Just started." The girl looked down. There was a sting that Galendra could see in his eyes.

Galendra nodded his head. "Because now we're friends, don't hesitate to ask for my help."

Giselle. Staring at the grown man sitting next to him - just stymied by the table --. This man suddenly offered a friendship. They did not even know each other before, the pediatrician suddenly he often saw wandering in the hospital the last few days of his hospitalization.

Giselle breathed. "I don't really want to have any friends."

From his tone Galendra knew this girl was refusing to build any relationship with him, even though friends.

"Why? I heard you just moved to this city 'it would be nice to have a friend who can accompany you for a walk here."

"One year is not new." Giselle crumpled the end of her dress. "I can go for a walk with Brother Cleo anyway."

Giselle turned her head, looking into the eyes of Galendra who was also looking at her. This was the first time Galendra felt Giselle notice her. All this time the girl was too indifferent to always ignore her greeting.

"Thank you Doc for being nice to me. I know all medics would definitely like that treating someone who just survived a suicide attempt. But there's no need to force myself like this, I promised I wouldn't repeat what I did."

Galendra. In her heart she counted the number of words that Giselle had just spoken.

"I didn't have to. Don't worry about you repeating what you did." Galendra again showed her grimness. "I know you're sorry."

Galendra cast her gaze forward, too long looking at Giselle somehow the corner of her heart betrayed, so had a feeling of pity for Giselle.

"I don't have any friends either. My brother is getting married tomorrow." His throat was suffocating. Remembering her brother is getting married and six more years her husband is remarried.

"So I'll be friends with you" he said half forcefully. Hiding her brim behind the wide smile she had been showing off since.

Giselle. A fella? Just suddenly? He told Galendra that he didn't want to be friends, that's right. He's not lying. What is it like, friend? Who always invites him to have fun then when he slumped 'friends' then instantly become a stranger. Huh! Strangers are even better. An ex-friend will turn into a terrible monster if he doesn't want to be friends anymore.

Giselle doesn't want any more friends.

"Tomorrow to come yes, to my sister's wedding. I'll pick you up at seven in the morning."
