One week Marinka has been serving as a medical volunteer at a barracks in the conflict zone. He works well with other friends. Sometimes moving barracks, and exchanging with others.
At first Marinka is confused, she has to move around the camp to treat civilian casualties. There were also soldiers who were hit by the shots he was treating.
"Marinka, this afternoon after you're done you move to the south barracks huh. Here there are many volunteers, barracks to the south are only one volunteer. It's a pity if anyone gets hurt to sew, so you can help out there" said Marinka.
"Okay, sister." answered Marinka.
"Now clean up the equipment that must be brought there. Maybe there is a lack of tools and maybe there will be someone who asks sooner to the south barracks" he said again.
"Yes, here I go first. Everything I used I brought, including drugs" Marinka said.
Some of the tools had already entered his bag, and also the drugs were put in the medicine box. Soon a man approached the barracks chairman, asking volunteers to help doctors to the southern barracks. The head of Marinka's entourage immediately told Marinka to come with the man who asked for help.
"Marinka, quickly you go with the man. Someone will help you there later" said the group leader.
"Yes, brother."
"Where will I go with you to the south barracks?" ask the man who asked for help.
"I'm a big brother." answered Marinka.
"Alright, come with me."
"Good."
Marinka prepares to take her bag and medicine box, following the man who asked for medical volunteers. They walked, Marinka in the back and the man in front. Walk quickly to avoid air gunfire or bombs that happen to fall in any place.
Because they are not fast walking or running, they are affected by the target. Many medical personnel have been hit by gunfire and bombs exploded, so be careful yourself.
Marinka quickly followed where the man was going. Because it was not far away, so they just walked towards the southern barracks.
As the man received the call, he stopped answering his phone. And Marinka stopped too, waiting for the man to finish calling.
"You can go to the southern camp by yourself, right?" ask the man to Marinka.
"But I don't know where the southern camp is. I've never been there" said Marinka.
"You just go straight, if there's a bomb, hide. It's a bit prone to the road to the southern barracks, you have to be careful" said the man.
"But, I don't know what the characteristics of the barn are? Is there a special feature?" ask Marinka.
Marinka was silent, she was confused as to where to go. The man immediately left Marinka who was still confused. Finally he walked according to his instincts towards the south. Many buildings on the left right were damaged by bombs.
Very sad, Marinka continued to walk quickly. Looking to the left canal a lot of people were running around, he stopped seeing all running for fear of anyone chasing. Marinka was hanging out behind a big barrel, she pulled out the identification necklace. But unfortunately the medical volunteer identification card he did not bring.
"Aah, shit! Why miss in the middle camp barracks. What if I have to go to a health post camp in the south? My identification is missing." said Marinka, feeling increasingly confused.
Duaarr! Duaarr!
The sound of a bomb blast shocked Marinka and covered her ears. He lowered his head, hiding his face between his thighs. He was afraid that the bomb would hit him.
"God, why am I stuck like this?" marinka Mumbles.
He's still down, his heartbeat's still beating. He was shocked and frightened, but he finally realized that he was in need in the southern camp. Marinka raised her face, looking around already deserted.
Then he slowly stood up, looking to the right to the left there was no one. Finally he stepped up, remembering where he was and where he had to go.
"Where should the road go? Where's that south?" said confused.
Marinka continued to walk according to her belief that the direction she was heading was south. Long he walked there were no barracks or camps with medical logos or red and white flags, his country's flags.
In that confusion, from afar he saw there was a camp. Marinka squinted her eyes, there was a faint flag. But he continued to go to the camp.
He walked quickly to the camp. The atmosphere of the streets there was quiet, there was no one. However, the closer the camp was clearly visible. It is very quiet and there are no medical activities or people being handled by volunteers.
Marinka is increasingly confused, as the camp is closed. He stopped, confused whether to enter the camp or wait for people to come to tell him that he was a messenger from the central barracks and was sent to the southern barracks.
But when Marinka finally entered the camp, she saw nothing in the camp. No one is being treated or injured. What he saw inside the camp was a lot of big crates, no matter what they were.
There are some big crates and small crates. His eyes went around, there was also a cupboard containing bottles. Marinka wondered if indeed the southern camp was like that. And where are the inhabitants?
"Who are you?!"
