Alin boughtak saw a bullet being fired from Dashtan's gun. His ears were ringing, his body was limp as the sound of gunfire rang out so loud. His world suddenly turned pitch-black.
“Typeak! Beryl!” Alin woke up with sweat all over his body.
“Alin, are you okay?” Yola held her daughter's shoulder.
“Mom, where's Beryl? He's fine, right? Mom, I want to see it!” cecar Alin's.
“Be-Beryl him ...,” Yola was unable to endure his grief.
“He's why, Mom? Say, Mom!” Alin held both of Yola's arms firmly.
“She was at the funeral,” Yola bowed lethargic.
“What? A funeral? N-no! That's impossible, Mom!” Alin could no longer hold back his pill moans, he continued to roar calling Beryl's name.
Yola tried to calm her daughter who had just woken up. How painful Yola was when Alin was brought home in quite a terrible condition. The former ties on both his wrists and feet. The rest of the blood dried up at the corner of his lips. His face was tangled unkempt and traces of slaps were adorning.
Alin waved the blanket that covered part of his body. He got off the bed.
“Where are you going?” ask Yola in panic.
“I'm going to the funeral, Mom!”
“Why get there?”
“I want to see him for the last time, Mom!” Alin breaks away from Yola's hand.
“Ta-but ...,”
“Who would you like to see for the last time?” a hoarse voice stopped Alin's actions.
Alin looked towards the door. Beryl stood upright in the doorway wearing a long-sleeved, rolled-up shirt and black pantaloons. Alin blinked many times just to convince himself that he was not hallucinating.
“Beryl!” Alin runs into Beryl's arms still standing, wondering what happened.
“This is not a dream, right?” Alin sobbing.
Beryl knitted her brows and looked at Yola with a questionable look. Yola pressed her shoulders.
“This is not a dream, Honey!” Beryl tightened her embrace. He lifted Alin's body and carried him back to the bed. Meanwhile, Yola comes out of the room and lets Beryl accompany her daughter.
A happy glimmer infiltrated the bottom of Beryl's heart, thousands of butterflies flying filled the recesses of her heart that had been closed cloudy. To be honest, he didn't want to let go of his embrace. But he is still self-conscious. Beryl lowered Alin's body slowly, removing the remaining water seepage in the eyes of her beloved girl.
Alin smiled, God still gave him a chance to look at the handsome face of the man. His heart was already tight-fisted imagining bullet details hitting Beryl's back.
“Wait! If Beryl was here, then who was shot? Whose funeral did Beryl attend?” inner Alin.
“Si-who got shot?” Beryl was stunned to hear Alin's question.
Beryl took a deep breath, gathering as much oxygen as she could. He paused for a moment the words that had already been arranged in his brain. Alin held her hand before she started telling stories.
“Tell me who was shot! Mommy said you were at the funeral. Whose funeral?” urged Alin.
“Alaric,” Beryl rubbed Alin's slightly pale cheeks.
“Alaric?” Alin nodded at the bed he was sitting on.
“Alaric suddenly appeared and dispelled the bullet with his body. The bullet went through his chest cavity. His life could not be saved because the bullet lodged very close to his heart.”
Alin drooped, not expecting his ex-lover's life would end tragically like this.
“Then Dashtan?”
“Police has caught him. I'll make sure he's rotting in jail!” flashes of anger still appeared in his net.
Dashtan has put Alin's life at risk, there is a possibility that the man will also cause problems for his three children. Beryl would never let Dashtan live free. He even talked to his lawyer.
“Are you going to tell Rory about it, Shaqi and Kika?” Beryl took off her hand.
Telling the fact to the three children that they still have a family from their biological father is quite heavy. All this time, Beryl's been keeping secrets tight. The decision was agreed with his parents.
“Yang actually? If his biological father was involved in a premeditated murder that killed his mother?” Beryl looked straight at Alin.
Alin understands Beryl's feelings, and it's never easy to explain to children about the badness of their parents. If they are not mentally strong, it will trigger trauma. The inner pressures and social burdens that are carried over a lifetime. He rubbed Beryl's back and propped his head against the man's shoulder.
Alin had also experienced it. On his tenth birthday, Papa Vishaka gives an explanation of who his biological parents are and why he should stay apart from them. At that time, Alin was no stranger to the existence of Mommy and Daddy because they were always present in special moments of his life so he easily accepted the reality. However, what the three Monza children experienced was different from him. The harsh reality about his parents is not as beautiful as Alin's story.
“It is better that they do not need to know! I'm not going to tell the truth than sacrifice their mentality and feelings. All they need to know is that their parents died in an accident. That’s it!”beryl.
“Hmm, you are right! I will support your decision,” Alin widens his smile.
“Following me? Really?” Beryl glanced at Alin, her ignorant smile expanding.
Beryl realized that the walls between them had worn off. Alin was no longer away from him. The girl even continued to hug him without any worries. He should thank Keven. Without his tactics, maybe Alin is still avoiding.
“Of course!” alin answered with confidence.
“Until when will you support me?” beryl Fishing line.
“My life.”
“So, have you forgiven me?” Beryl wanted to make sure that this time Alin would not ignore her.
Alin realized that he had just slipped. He lowered his head in embarrassment and avoided Beryl's intimidating eyes.
“I'm sorry! Really I didn't mean ...,” Alin shut Beryl's mouth by sticking out her index finger.
“I don't want to talk about the past! I've forgiven you,” Alin's words are like drops of ice water in Beryl's heart that starts to drift.
“Since when did you forgive me?” Beryl brought her face closer.
“Ehm, since you stand guard in front of the house exactly like a hansip who is patrolling!” ledek Alin's.
Beryl was furious because it turned out Alin was happy to torture, making him suffer. Waking up every day in front of Yosrey's family home, he even looks like a zombie with thick eye bags.
“If you have forgiven me, why would you let me keep watch outside?” Beryl pinched the tip of Alin's nose.
“Because I'm afraid.”
“Fear?” Beryl scrunched her forehead.
“I'm afraid to compete with your past. I can't live with the shadows of the past, let alone your first love. In fact, our faces are almost the same. How about you think of me as Mama Zivaa?” Alin did not want to cover up his feelings anymore.
“My dear, it won't happen!” Beryl convinced Alin.
“Yeah, you guys are similar but not the same!” Alin then pinched Beryl's waist until the man complained of pain.
“Listen, I've been in love with you since first sight. Only you fill my head, not Zivaa or any other woman. I don't even remember Zivaa's face every time I'm with you. It's just that when I found out Zivaa was your Mama, I just realized that you guys had something in common. But that doesn't mean I think of you as him. You are you, nothing can replace.”
“Wah, since when did the venerable Young Master Monza become smart to compete?” sindir Alin's.
“Since you messed up my world,” Beryl's face grew closer, even their eyebrows intertwined. Alin could feel Beryl's breath in the skin of his face.
“I love you Alin Odity Yosrey!”
“I love you too Beryliano Monza!”
Alin frees Beryl to trace every curve of her lips. Giving space to her lover to let go of the longing that is arousing. A loving gentle touch that could destroy Alin's soul. Makes her sure there's no other woman in Beryl's heart but hers.
Just like Beryl who is happy is matchless because there is no more rejection from Alin. The sweet taste she had picked up from Alin's lips made her young soul turbulent. His life feels complete. The previously dim world of romance is now starting to brighten. Beryl so enjoyed the perfectly sculpted beauty before her.
“Yes God! You naughty old boy! How dare you kiss my daughter without my permission!” othman's rampage shocked the two people who were drunk. Beryl stopped her action, then she rubbed Alin's lips together.
“Come out! You can't touch my daughter before you marry her!” Othman picked up Beryl and then dragged her out of the room.
“Aww, fuck you, Ov!”
Alin laughed out loud at the behavior of the two men he loved so much. She was really happy, her heart was blossoming. God's scenario is beautiful even though it must hurt first, but the end is very extraordinary.
