Tough Widow

Tough Widow
Rejection of the Ikram

"I'm home, Ma." Hanan shouted while taking off his shirt which was filled with sweat.

There was no answer, only the sound of the clock's thump was heard. Alifa and Adiba are not home. Hanan dipped through each room.

"Did mom sleep?" Put his clothes in a dirty basket.

Hanan opened the door to Ayu's room. His eyes went back around. Her fine fur was goosebumps remembering the story of her friend who talked about ghosts. "Mama.." call her again.

Staying the same, there was no answer that made Hanan second-guess.

Mama might be shopping.

Hanan rushed to the bathroom to clean up after not finding anyone at home.

No more spoiled words. Hanan is independent. Never asked Ayu for help. Nor does it bother the mama who has been getting busy lately.

After neat Hanan sat on the porch of his house. His eyes continued to stare towards the road, hoping for Ayu to quickly return home.

Ninik came with Alifa and Adiba.

"Where's your mom, son?" tanya Ninik followed Hanan's eyes looking.

Hanan shook without a sound. His face withered remembering the words of his mother while in the workshop.

Mama's money was spent to pay. From now on I have to be careful again so as not to bother mama, Hanan said inwardly.

Ninik invited the children inside because it was getting dark. Not long ago the sound of greetings echoed from behind the slightly open door.

Hanan and his two sisters immediately rushed to hug Ayu who had just arrived.

"Where's my mom from?" hanan asked without taking off his embrace.

Ayu smiled. Swiping the heads of her three children in turn.

"So mama __" Ayu stopped her saying. There is no way he answered honestly, surely Hanan will be sad and feel guilty.

Ayu led the children to sit. Look at them alternately. While Hanan, the boy reached out his hand touching Ayu's cheek which was smudged in black.

"Definitely mama cleaned up in the workshop to pay for the repair of the bike?" guess Hanan in a soft voice.

Both eyes glazed over and leaned his head against Ayu's chest.

"Son, Son. This was my mom accidentally." Ayu rubbed her cheek with origin. Trying to remove stains that cannot possibly fade away.

Ninik could only raise his hand. As a neighbor and friend he must be able to be a supporter of Ayu in order to remain strong in facing the harsh reality.

At length Ayu explained to Hanan not to think about it. Little by little he said something he had to do to survive.

"So you can't be sad, you have to learn to be a smart child."

Hanan immediately ran to his room and opened the book, while Ninik came home because it was night.

Almost a full day Ayu does not hold a mobile phone, besides being busy with Hanan's birthday, he also has to save a dwindling quota.

Ayu opened the work that she signed up for yesterday's contract. Smile when he gets the news that his writing was accepted by the contract. He could not even contain the tears of happiness.

"I didn't see it wrong, did I?" Ayu made sure he came back. Read carefully the writing.

True, it turns out that the submitted work passes the contract, but he must fill out the form first before continuing it again.

In addition to a pen name and some personal data, it turns out that Ayu also has to fill out an account number. While at this time he does not have it, because it has returned all the gifts of the Kram including the savings book.

Remembering the next need. There is a possibility that he will immediately open a savings book if there is no big need.

"Mama.." cried Hanan from the direction of the room disperse daydream ayu.

Ayu who had just realized rushed over to the son. Afraid the boy needed his help.

"What's up, son?" ask Ayu from the doorway.

Hanan turned his head without standing, his lips as if stiff to say, but he could not ignore the pesa of his teacher's mother.

"Tomorrow father's day. And all the students were told to come with their fathers. I also want to be like the Others, Ma," pinta Hanan groans.

Ayu approached Hanan. Then kneel in front of him. He was confused what to say. On the one hand do not want to disappoint Hanan, but on the other hand most likely Ikram will not want to obey his wife's request.

"Call papa, Ma. Tell him to come to my school," Hanan asked again.

Ayu lowered her head, not daring to stare at Hanan's expectant-looking face.

"What if you can't come, son?" answer Ayu lirih.

Hanan cupped Ayu's cheeks and raised her until the two looked at each other.

"I don't want to go to school if I'm not the same papa." Hanan sulked and threw his face the other way.

Forced Ayu to nod, putting aside the enveloping ego. Not for her, but for the child.

Ayu contacted Ikram via cell phone.

"Hello, you'll need money" Ikram said.

Hanan snatched the phone in Ayu's hand then stuck it in her ear.

"Tomorrow Master asked the students to come with their respective papa, Pa. I want papa to come, "pinta Hanan plain.

I heard a long breath.

"Papa's busy, so can't come. Your mom has taken you away, which means she can do anything for you. Don't ask papa for help."

Clear circles just flow soaked Hanan's cheeks. He could not hold back his tears at the rejection of Ikram, even the man who was still considered papa hung up his phone before Hanan continued his speech.

Ayu wiped Hanan's tears and hugged her.

"Tomorrow mama who will be papa. Mom will dress up like dad. Hanan don't be sad anymore." Swiping Hanan's back which shook violently.

Although still very small, Ikram speech can be stuck in the heart of Hanan and until anytime will never be forgotten.

Hanan has calmed down to get a pitutur from Ayu. He began to focus on the book in front of him.

Ayu returned to the room. Open the closet and choose clothes that will be worn for tomorrow's event.

The choice falls on a white striped shirt and a long black skirt. It was the clothes that would make him play the role of a father. At least I've been trying to be both parents at once.

Before lying on the bed, Ayu contacted the headmaster. Explaining that he will represent Hanan's father who cannot attend.

Even if you lose a father, you will still get more affection from your mother, son. Don't be afraid yourself. Because until whenever mama will be the best for you.

He looked at his two daughters who were huddled under the covers. Ayu has decided not to get married and is more concerned with children. They are more valuable than their own happiness.
