The Johnson Family

Johnson's residence was able to breathe a sigh of relief when Rivan arrived home safely. It turns out that the people who had promised Elma to release Rivan didn't actually deliver Rivan until he arrived in town.

They dropped Rivan off in a quiet place very far from the crowd. That made Rivan again have to rack his brain to be able to return home. He even had a chance to guess about which path could lead him until he could find a crowd.

Rivan walked through the silent streets tens of kilometers away. Even Rivan himself almost gave up at that moment. Day changes night and night changes day. So it continues until finally he managed to meet a good person who wanted to drive him home.

"Rivan, where have you been, son? What the hell is going on? Why is your body so dirty like this?"

Mrs Johnson was anxious to cry to see her Son come home in a sad state. Rivan looks thin from not eating and drinking. Even the smell of his body was very unpleasant. Unlike the usual appearance of Rivan.

"Ma, we'd better let Rivan rest. Don't question him with anything that doesn't matter" Mr Johnson said.

Rivan did not care at all about his extended family welcome. Even though his legs were no longer able to walk and his eyes were very sleepy but his mind was still filled with Elma's face. The man was worried about Elma's situation because from what he saw Elma was brought by gunmen who had such a creepy face. Rivan does not want Elma to be killed by the bad guys. Although they had just met, but Rivan had already fallen for the woman.

"Ma, Rivan has to go to save someone" Rivan said suddenly. To make all his extended family who now welcome him shocked not play.

"But you just arrived there's not even a half-hour sitting here yet" Mrs Johnson said. It was clear from her facial expression that the woman did not agree to her son leaving again.

"I have to save that woman, Ma. Rivan won't let him go."

Actually Rivan was trying to explain what happened in the forest. But his parents had already looked suspiciously at him.

"Well, I thought from the beginning that you canceled your marriage to Elma because you wanted to keep your relationship with that woman, right? She came to this house and said she was pregnant with your child. You're so embarrassing. Papa raised you to make you a responsible man. A man who can boast of his family. Not embarrassing a family like this. If only Mr. Turner had known of this matter what our family would be. In one hand our family can be destroyed. Your future is at stake now. But you still want to think about that woman." Mr. Johnson cannot be silent about his son's behavior.

"You better not be looking for excuses anymore. Mama and Papa have known how you've been doing all this time. You are a striped-nose man who likes to change women" said Mrs Johnson who now also put on an upset face.

"Ma, looks like Mama and Papa have misunderstood. This woman I want to help is the woman I just met in the forest. If without his help maybe at this time I won't go home safely. Someone kidnapped me and dumped me in the woods until my marriage to the woman of mama and papa's choice failed. This woman is very nice, Ma. But there are a bunch of bad guys who want to hurt him. Mama and papa themselves know how my talent has been. Let alone fighting, holding a weapon I never. I felt completely useless there. I can't protect that woman from the bad guys who want to harm her. "Rivan you're really making mama dizzy. Whatever story you tell, Mama still doesn't believe it. Tonight we're going to Mr. Turner's residence to apologize for not getting late. You and Elma should meet and tell each other. Explain everything carefully so that Elma is not angry. Mama thinks if Elma forgives you then Mr. Turner will forgive you too and the matter is over. "Then what about the woman I met in the woods, Ma?"

"Mama doesn't care. You can take care of it later after your problem with Elma is over. Now go to your room and rest. We'll be gone tonight. Never have the intention to run away from home because it will only make mama and papa even more angry."

Rivan actually wanted to rebel his parents' orders. But for the rest of Rivan's life, he never had the courage to refute his parents' orders. Rivan is a very obedient and kind boy. That is what makes his family love him so much. In fact, they always close their eyes when there are people who vilify Rivan. They try not to believe it because in their eyes Rivan is a very nice guy.

"Alright Ma. But if tonight I manage to solve this marriage problem. I want Mama and Papa to allow me to find that woman of my choice. I'll take her to meet with mom and dad. I'll make her fall in love so she'll marry me."

"As far as you are. But your job isn't just about Elma. Before you meet Elma tonight you should be able to prove that the pregnant woman who came to the house yesterday was just a prankster who wanted to destroy your wedding plans. Mama doesn't want any more trouble when we meet Mr. Turner."

"Alright Ma. I'll pay people to investigate. The problem is very easy to overcome" said Rivan. She was so overwhelmed by the mysterious pregnant woman's problems that she felt sure she had never done so.

"Rivan to the room first Ma." Rivan got off the couch and walked up the stairs. While walking the man smiled as he re-imagined Elma's face. "Beautiful girl. Hang in. I'm gonna save you. I will hire a strong and invincible person to save you," Rivan murmured inwardly.
