My Bestfriend

Monday, the day on which the exam will take place. Lately I've been thinking too much, it's been hard for me to focus. Even Aithan was worried about me, she said I looked like I had a lot to think about, and my face looked pale, she said. Though it's still the first day of the exam and I'm not usually like this, maybe it's because I'm thinking too much about the novel I'm going to include in that race.

Currently it is an Indonesian language test. The first test today. I'm really hard to focus. It has been about 20 minutes the exam started, I still have not answered 1 question. Bizarrely.. This is not me at all, even though I have learned, but I still can not answer 1 question. I decided to go to the toilet first to calm down.

After I was in the bathroom, I washed my face. I looked in the mirror for the next 4 minutes and saw this very useless reflection of myself. What happened to you is stupid, you're not at all what you used to be. I murmured to myself, luckily, there was no one there, so, I didn't feel it was a shame to talk to myself.

After I finished trying to calm myself down, for some reason it felt like a waste, I still had a lot of things to think about. This way I will never be able to stay calm and focused.

Huh... This must be because I was too stupid, because, I could not at all think of an idea to write a novel that was as good as possible. My mind is getting messy, I'm really hard to focus right now.

While I was on my way back to class, I met Nala, who seemed to have just come out of the toilet. Nala looked at me and approached me, then asked with a worried face, "You why Alachii? How did your face look like that?"

"Ah... I look pale well. I'm gapapa anyway, just a lack of sleep aja hehe." I answered with a forced smile.

"You.. Much more is thought.. Want stories?" Nala looked me in the face, and slightly approached me.

"I.. Gapapa is serious..." I answered, trying to look calm.

"Jude, if so. If there's a problem, or someone wants you to tell me, you can tell me! If not, you can go to someone else, too. Of course the person you trust."

"Nice, keep the problems you face alone in your own mind. You can ask for help or the opinion of others as well." Nala said with a very sweet smile. Then Nala waved her hand and we parted.

I don't want to try to burden Nala's mind by telling her what kind of problem I'm dealing with. So, I think I better not tell it. Besides, we've only known her not too long ago, so I better not bother her.

I can finally feel a little better after hearing what Nala said. I was able to complete all the Indonesian exam questions with a pretty good result.

It is a time of rest, so, I will spend my rest time studying in the park, as well as calming down with the soothing garden view.

After 10 minutes, my calm finally ended with Aithan carrying a lot of plastic containing food.

"Oii.. Al, I buy a lot of food." He smiled as he put a lot of plastic containing food near me.

"Why, all of a sudden?" I asked suspiciously.

"Hmmm... What, you don't thank me, at all your best friend who's been this attentive. I feel sad to know." Aithan really looked very sad.

"I.. I don't understand, I mean in what way you give me this much food, if it's a matter of thank you anyway, thank you."

Aithan returned to her very energetic mood, "Hahaha, don't ask much questions, just eat it." Aithan forced me to open my mouth.

"Now, uh, ahmhhm...." In the end, I opened my mouth and ate what Aithan forced to enter my mouth.

After I finished chewing I sighed, "Huhh... I really don't understand.. Aithan."

"Therefore, now do not think of anything and make yourself as comfortable as possible and eat a lot of well. Because he said eat as much as possible when a lot of thought it makes you feel happy and calm, you know." Said.

"Hahaha, the horrors from which you're about to eat a lot make someone calm hahaha..." I laughed in satisfaction after Aithan tried to calm me down.

"Thank you, yeah."

Aithan looked proud, as she felt like she had already completed a very heavy mission.

"If you want, you can tell me.. I'll listen and give you as much advice as I can." Aithan seemed to really care about me.

I finally thought, should I tell you about this with Aithan, because, she will definitely help me too.

I prepared myself before telling you about what was on my mind all along. "I, actually in the race I had with Elina on Friday, I wanted to win 3, because I was required to win 3 for proof of my seriousness to be a novelist. And, after I read Elina's novel, it made me realize that, if, winning the 3rd place is not that easy. I'm sure a lot of people have interesting stories besides Elina. L'm.. Can't think of an interesting story idea at all..."

Aithan listened seriously, then said, "Okay, then why don't you make up the story you can make? It's better, the end result probably won't match expectations, but, at least you've fought to the end right?" Yep, Aithan like this is what makes me able to freely tell anything with him, he is the best friend I have ever gotten.

"The problem is, this is a challenge from my mother, and I accept it, because, I think, there is no other way than to accept this challenge to prove that I am serious about being a novelist. I won't be allowed to be a novelist if I fail to win 3rd place." I said.

"Yes.. That's, it's really hard. But, this is a great opportunity for you, isn't it, Al?"

"Yes that's how."

Then things went quiet without a word being said between the two of us.

After about 5 minutes passed without a word coming out of the mouths of the two of us, Aithan finally opened his mouth, and said, "Yes, in the end, Aithan, you can only make stories that you can only make, that doesn't mean anyone else can make them, right?"

"Let me guess, if you fail to win this 3rd place, you have to obey their will, right?" Aithan guessed right on target.

"Yep, you're a real genius well if things are like this."

"Hahaha, thank you." Aithan's excited after I said genius.

"What if, during the week, we're going to take a test, then you don't seem to have to think too much about your novel. And, after the exam is over, you can really focus on your novel right? If you have trouble, I will help you.. Quiet." Calm." Aithan smiled, and looked reliable this time.

"Yes.. I'll follow your advice. After a story like this, I feel better and calm, thank you so much my best friend!" I said that while holding back my embarrassed veins. These are words I will use once in a lifetime, I'm sure.

Aithan's face looked like it was holding back a disaster that would embarrass me, and yapp, "Pfftt... Ahahaha.. Yes, yes, my best friend.... Haha." As expected, Aithan will definitely taunt me. It's up to the important thing that I feel better now.

"Here you go, let's go to class, the bell comes in. It sounds." I said while hiding my shame.

"Okay, okay, my bestfriend." Aithan seems to be having a hard time stopping my current bullying.

And this Monday is over. Luckily I had Aithan for my confiding friend, at least I should focus on getting a satisfactory grade on this final school exam! Then after that, I will shift my focus to the novel to be included for the race.
