The Young Guardians of the Heart

The Young Guardians of the Heart
Chapter 3. Stay with Uncle

“Halo, assalamu’alaikum. Sorry I forgot to let you know that I am now moving to Jakarta and living with Om Bagas!” respond when the person being contacted picks up his phone call.

The young man is Pras – the guy who always chases after him and ends up being his best friend in every way. Likes and sorrows in his life together even often they spend time together at Nadia's house just to learn even though their classes are different.

[Wa'alaikumussalam warahmatullahi wabarakatuh, why don't you go alone first and give me a definite answer, Nad? Is that how rushed you are to leave me?] an annoyed tone sounded uneasy as Pras replied his greeting.

Nadia had promised Pras to answer questions about her feelings before the girl got into trouble with the death of the woman who had given birth to her.

[So ..?] pras still hopes the answer is still heard even though they have been separated by distance, time and island.

Pras just did not feel able to separate as soon as this because they are like envelopes and stamps almost every day always together, no matter what will happen to him later.

“So .. You don't have to expect me anymore. It's all impossible for us to be together even if I give a definite answer. I may never return to the village,” replied Nadia making a rough sigh at the end of the phone.

Pras shook his head even though Nadia did not see him. The young man who was still sitting in the 12th grade of High School as Nadia's upperclassman, felt his chest was very tight because Nadia was the first girl to make him palpitate. A young man who is always there for him with the status of a good friend. The young man felt unable to accept with the decision that Nadia had just delivered. His heart was too sore to feel the unfulfilled love.

[If you cannot return to our village then I will try to catch up with you to Jakarta. I'm in a few months of high school and I'll make sure I get accepted to one of the universities near where your uncle lives. What if I go there you will receive my love?] Pras gave his promise to be able to meet again with Nadia.

The young man also asked for certainty if his arrival was not in vain to meet the girl. However, was it all as easy as it was in his mind? It seems that it is only a commitment and promise that cannot be fulfilled, because Pras life is also not much different from the economy experienced by Nadia. Their families both have simple economies.

“Ka-you're serious? You're not just entertaining me anymore, are you?” Nadia until biting her lower lip, feeling haru because the person who cares about her the most all this time will come to follow her to Jakarta.

“If you really come here .. I promise to accept your love, as long as you don't just give an appointment without proof,” Nadia replied giving a glimmer of hope to the young man.

[God willing I will try to get there through the scholarship so that the cost is not too large, sorry I was able to precede to promise you … though not yet know whether God will approve it or even reject my hope] Pras rectified the promise he had said because of the rush due to the taste that is in the heart.

“I will join BER’a so that God provides the best sustenance for you and your family and in the Lord I will wait for you to the limit I said earlier,” timpal empty tone. A moment later the ear heard the door of the room being knocked.

Geck! Geck! Geck!

Chequek!

“You're not taking a break, honey?” tanya Bagas who can still be heard by Pras. He was a little uncomfortable to hear there was a male voice calling the girl he liked by the name ‘Sayang’.

“Numbered, Om. What's going on in Nadia's nyari? Does Om need anything?” The girl put the phone in the reverse position so that the uncle does not know that he is still connected to the call with the young man in his village.

“Om just want to tell you that in the living room there is a boss and some friends from the office who want to know you. Do you want to see him or rest in the room?” tanya Bagas did not want to impose his will on his nephew.

“What Om friend who came there is a woman?” tanya Nadia made sure.

“Ngak, Darling. It just so happened that all the friends who came were men. Are you worried, huh?” Bagas rubbed Nadia's head gently, the man indeed had to get used to treating Nadia like his own child.

For a moment Nadia seemed to think but finally she decided not to come to the living room because she felt she had no interest in meeting with her boss and uncle's friends. He was afraid that his uncle was embarrassed by his presence from the village.

“If you may know, Om Bagas so what in the company?” Nadia took a pillow and put it on her lap, staring at the uncle's netra to wait for an answer.

“Om is just a lackey aka personal assistant of a CEO named Singgalang Company. Are you sure you don't want to meet your friends? Her boss is handsome, you know,” is Bagas's god who only makes Nadia tick no matter what.

“I am still a teenager, Om. Nadia has not thought of her handsome man. Want me to get married fast?” nadia asked looking at the uncle.
